I've been to this location twice. Each time I've scheduled an appointment and called ahead to confirm. Both times I left messages because no one answered with my call back number. Once I arrived to the clinic on both occasions there are posters every where stating they are not performing the lab test I scheduled the appointment for. It'd be nice if someone could answer the phone or call back so I didn't waste my time on two separate occurrences driving here just to leave without my completed test. read more

Whoever was working the front desk on August 27th at 3pm (without a name tag) was very dismissive and disrespectful. When we arrived at the office we checked in at the kiosk which told us we would have to wait 45 minutes before being seen. We went up to the desk to clarify with whoever was working if our labs were requiring us to be fasting or not. She would not answer our question and told us to sit down and wait to be called back. She was very dismissive and wouldn't even let us ask our question. Not to mention, she's sitting at her desk laughing with her coworkers while there are 9 people in the waiting room. We understand the lobby was full and she may have been backed up but she could have been a little more polite and taken time to answer our question. read more

I had an awful experience. They didn't inform us that when coming from another location, we needed to check in again, and no one else was admitted before their lunch break. We then had to wait two hours to take a drug test. I've never encountered a situation where it took three hours just to provide a urine sample. Waiting three hours for a drug test is outrageous. read more

My experience with Claudia, the lab tech, was brief. But wonderful. She's a gem. I HAVE to write this review because of her. By the amount of people on the waiting room it was obvious to us she was overworked. At the same time she was personable, calm and professional. I had to wait an extra 40 minutes because of the crowd waiting, and I recommend getting another person in there to make it better for everyone! read more

I understand trying to be efficient with check ins by utilizing a check in machine; however, Covid is still here. I don't know why this place has bad reviews ‍ maybe they changed staff or something since those prior reviews, but everyone was pleasant when we had to interact. (I'm an introvert and like to make people's lives simpler if I can, so I just checked in with the machine.) I have been a Registered Nurse for 29 years. I work in Critical Care and am also a college instructor. I have always impressed upon my students to be professional (and) to show compassion and courtesy for their patients and (their) families at all times. At LABCORP's Park Valley location, this doesn't seem to be a concern for them. The staff are not Registered Nurses...HOWEVER, as Techs, they could use better training in social skills (and) in how they interact with patients. My 'wait time' was never the issue. But, their impersonal treatment was! Their behavior and demeanor was, a lot, like the treatment you get from the TSA when going through an airport. As a patient, I was made to feel that I was being 'herded' like cattle. And...I believe that most of the patients in that 'waiting room' felt the same. Although, nowadays, most people won't complain because they feel that their opinions mean very little. The staff never introduced themselves...including the tech who took my urine-drug screen...nor, were any of them particularly professional or compassionate. I realize that they are busy...and, most probably, understaffed. HOWEVER, there is NO EXCUSE for treating people badly. No one...and I mean NO ONE likes to be subjugated and 'talked down' to. And...this is exactly the way that I was made to feel. IT SIMPLY DOES NOT TAKE ANY EXTRA TIME TO BE NICE! Whenever I asked a question...my tech, as well as the front-desk clerk, seemed totally uninterested to my queries. Their only concern seemed to be as to how fast I could be ushered out. Their behaviors showed that they could not have cared less about my care (or) thoughts. We see more of these types of behaviors nowadays...and it is very sad and totally unnecessary. I would not EVER treat a patient or customer with such indifference, as (I) was made to feel. And...it seems to be, particularly, obvious with LABCORP employees, in general...as I have witnessed this at other LABCORP facilities. I would have given a 2 STAR rating. But, I felt that the indifferent treatment I received overshadowed any professional demeanor that they may have had. This is very sad on their part. I notified my employer, HEALTHTRUST, of my concerns. But, I'm certain that most of that will fall on deaf ears. I had an appointment but my doctor did not send the labs so that was a problem (not Labcorps fault) when my doctor's office finally faxed over the paperwork Princess (the only staff member there) worked diligently to get my lab's into the system and draw my blood (yes Princess is the phlebotomist, the front desk staff, and clinical staff). Not only did Princess have an overwhelming workload in the lab she had an excellent attitude and customer service manner. I was amazed with the level of service I received. She needs a raise and they need more people. The Covid-19 response severely hurt the medical community. read more

I used to request Labcorp run my labs even though my Dr's office wanted to use another vendor. After my most recent experience, I won't be using Labcorp any more. I had blood drawn in early August and still do not have the results 11 days and counting later. Routine labwork does not take more than a few days at most to complete. The teams are always helpful and I come here very regularly for lab work as a disabled veteran. If you need to perform a "walk up" I would STRESS that you get there by 7:30 a.m. so when they open at 8 a.m. you can be helped. This is a good and busy location with FedEx pickup/deliveries if you need to get your samples and labs to their destination fast. I've only ever had to file one grievance per se and that was because they were closed for one day and did not post any information on the door, the website, or other locations. The corporate office responded in 24hrs to address my concerns. The staff is always happy, clean, attentive, and professional. Sadly they cannot speed up the computers for printing out your labs but they work as fast as they can. read more

I'm not sure why this location has such bad reviews, but maybe I just got lucky with my experience. Some have posted that this location is hard to find. I am the worst with directions and getting lost, and found it was quite easy to get here. There is a sign visible from the street where you enter the parking lot. It's one building, and inside there's a sign clearly stating that Lab Corp is on the second floor of the two story building. Only 3 people were in the waiting area when I got there, but they were all called back in under 5 minutes. I was also in and out in under 15 minutes. I thought the staff were polite, and most importantly for me, they were good at drawing blood. I have a terrible fear of needles and have had terrible experiences with getting my blood drawn, but this place made it a piece of cake! Try to look past the bad reviews and give this place a try. If you have a good experience, share it. I think many times people only post negative reviews because those stick around in your mind more than positive ones. read more

The wait time at this place is ridiculous. I arrived at 9:45 for a routine employment drug screen. I left a little over an hour later never having even been called to the window for paper work or information. There aren't enough chairs in the waiting room so I stood next to the door. I witness the incredible rude receptionist's interactions with patrons and was appalled. The hour I was there maybe 3 drug screens were completed if not fewer. Needed drug test for employment. First went to the Lab Corp in GT where my Dr's office is, but was told they don't do this type of screening. So decided to go to Cedar Park, which is the next closest lab that closes at 4:30. It was around 3:40, so I decided to call first. Let it ring like 17 times but no answer, so decided to race over. Long drive! Went to the wrong building first but receptionist kindly gave directions to the correct building and office location. Finally arrived to Bldg C, found the office on the 2nd floor, walked in to an empty office at 4:10 and saw a sign, NO TESTS AFTER 3:30! So, I was pretty exasperated because it should have been pretty empty when I called, but the (Asian?) girl said they didn't answer because it was busy. She didn't care in the least about all of my wasted time and effort. As I walked out I told her the least she could do was say she was sorry but didn't respond at all. On Saturday morning I found one Lab Corp that was open. I drove 35 minutes to get there only to be told they don't do urine tests on the weekend because the lab isn't open for testing and urine can't be stored overnight. Based on all of the bad reviews, I think there is a real space in the market for a Lab that offers SERVICES that respond to CUSTOMER NEEDS! UPDATE: Returned to the Lab Corp in Cedar Park at noon. I checked myself in through a tablet, sat down + was called to the front to show ID, etc. After that I was called to the back. I was just there for a pre-employment drug test, but I was in + out within 10 minutes. The African American lady who cared for me was very kind + it was a effortless visit. I made an appointment to do an employment drug screen. The online system let me schedule it for 11:15am which was ideal because I was leaving town for 5 days immediately after. When I got there they told me they don't do any lab work after 11:00am and I would have to come back at 1:00pm. Why they need a 2 hour lunch break, I don't know. But I also had a SCHEDULED appointment. I wasn't a walk in. So I do not understand why they wouldn't honor my appointment I made with their lab. Awesome service. Made an appointment online via their website. Came in, didn't have to sign anything since I did it all online, got my blood taken and I was out of the door in less than 5 minutes. Then I had to wait atleast 3 business days for them to email my results. Would be using them again and again if I ever get the chance. If you need a Physician order try out Accesalabs online and they'll give you an electronic order number to be used with LabCorps. read more

Standing room only, understandably this is because of Covid, but there is a lack of customer service. There is a kiosk to sign in but the person at the front desk was too busy to help the older patients. Signs for the use of masks are displayed, but there are several people not wearing them. I would say you are not a name but a number, but here you are not even as important as a number. read more

I came in without an appointment around 11:20 am. There were 8 people in front of me. I was seen a little bit after noon. The phlebotomist was awesome! She was quick, efficient, no bruising, no difficulty finding a vein, and she even apologized for the wait. They even printed an estimate for me to show me approximately how much of my blood work will be covered by insurance. Overall, I had a good experience. Would have been great if the wait was a little less, but I expected some of it, given that I didn't have an appointment. read more

I am nervous on my drug screen results (should be normal) because one of the ladies had me sign my initials on a tube when I never seen her pick up my cup of urine! Then when I proceeded to ask about it the could care less to stop and reassure me it was my urine. They continued doing what they were doing telling me it was my urine. Again, never seen my cup of urine be picked up other than when they were telling me I could leave. Still seen my urine at the same line I filled it up to. User beware. This location (Round Rock) will try to tell you that you have to provide a credit or debit card as part of their "corporate policy" before they provide you service. That is false. I confirmed with the corporate office that it is optional and if you refuse to provide a credit card they will send you a bill in the mail. The staff (Round Rock) will not tell you that it is optional and will try to bully you into giving them your information. Even if you do feel comfortable giving them you information, please reconsider. A quick google search will show that there is a history of miss billing and credit card charge issues with LabCorp. If you don't have to use this location and company then stay far, far away. read more

Lady at the counter was very rude when I asked if she had an extra mask and about the hours displayed online as they were changed because of covid. I came back when the "employment drug screening hours" were starting again and went ahead to check in at the kiosk. The kiosk told me to wait until I was called and after an hour waiting, a couple next to me pointed out a sign that said "if waiting more than 30 mins, please go to the window to ask about your turn" so me and the husband in the couple got up to ask only for him to still have another 20-30 mins in the queue and for some reason my check in wasn't on the list so I had essentially waited for nothing. When I asked why she had no idea and said I should just check in again and wait another hour, I believe she removed me from the list from earlier when I didn't have a mask and asked her if she could provide me with one. A black woman with pink/red hair was at the desk, completely rude and wasted a good portion of my day, pick any other labcorp location than this one. Complete waste of time. read more

LabCorp is not the customer friendly lab that I would choose. Both on the phone and in person the customer service was below average and basically nonexistent. I called to change an appointment and the employee was condescending and rude. Tried to make the call a little more pleasant but that didn't work. Then on my appointment day the front receptionist wasn't friendly and snapped at me. I have never had this experience before anywhere so I am guessing it is LabCorp's mode of operation.
