Great NY slice! Stephen and the team were extremely hospitable and they had me try a couple of their homemade sauces. The garlic sauce was outstanding! They use it for salad dressing and you could put it on almost anything. The marinara was even better and they will be packaging it and selling it in stores very soon. I came here with a friend recently and I was very much so not wowed. I'm fairly surprised since the average rating is so high. The vibes and aesthetics of this place are just so off. We had planned to eat the pizza there, but when we walked in the place was a lot smaller and dingier than I expected. There was zero ambiance. They had more of a waiting area than a dining area, which was surprising to me. Luckily my friend lives nearby so we just took the pizza to go. While we were waiting, employees came and sat at the table next to us and were putting together pizza boxes. It's just weird, I don't get it. I would either make a legitimate dining area (one not used for side work and much nicer than what is currently in place) or get rid of the tables altogether. They're old and in the way. Turn some music on, clean up the interior. Also the outside of the place is a bit run down. Parking lines so ancient you can't see them- that kind of thing. The pizza was pretty good but not amazing and for $22.75 I need it to be amazing. I like supporting small businesses, but when I can get a better tasting and cheaper pizza at Dominos, that's unfortunately the route I have to go. Especially when the spot has no ambiance. Sadly I will not be back unless they someday reduce prices, add more items to their menu, and create a real dining space. read more

Labella's pizza is very very good. Really great Friday night NY pizza. The sausage and peppers topping is spot on. You can tell the high quality of the sausage. The kicker and real surprise was the meatball parmigiana sub. This was delicious, a really tasty combo of great meatballs and roll that was toasted with a lot of melted cheese. It's big too, I ate half and the other the next day. Surprisingly, it was actually even better! lol!! Some foods that made well get better when they rest. I met the son (owner) Steven & the pizza was ready in 12 minutes from the time I called till the time I got there! I told him it was my first time and you get coupons! When you collect 10, you get a free pizza! You get 5 your first time! It's a quaint little hole in the wall- truly one of the places that you want to find! I found Labella's showcased on Eater's best ATL pizza list. Very solid NYC style pizza with an authentic chewy and crispy crust. I loved the standard cheese pizza that comes with a fresh and slightly sweet tasting sauce. Unfortunately the pep pizza came soggy and not crispy at all. I drove a bit to try this place out. Was dying for a New York slice but this wasn't it for me. The sauce was too sweet. A good sauce shouldn't be that sweet. It was an ok pie, but after eating three slices I was done. The service was quick and snappy. I did't have to pay up front. It looks like they are setup to prefer cash. Took a Mexican food enthusiast and world traveler to try pizza after reading reviews. The traveler had just come back from Italy so they were full of stories about the food there. Walked in and felt immediately transported back to the tri-state area as the gentleman working the counter greeted us with that deep NYC accent. Let him know I had not been there before and on queue he recommended the pizza. We got cheese slices and sat outside. (The gentleman said we could take a table outside as long as we brought it back in! ) The pizza is the best I've tasted in Atlanta. Not hyperbole as I am a pizza snob. Great crust, sauce to cheese ratio, and heft. I had two slices and they were good sized. Would definitely go back there to get more slices or try a full pie. Unpretentious and welcoming staff. Felt like home (New England). The place has some seating, but I would guess their main business is takeout and delivery.
