Came back for a THIRD time just because the ube matcha was so good, and I never revisit drink spots for the drinks typically. You absolutely have to sip it directly from the cup to taste the foam, even though you'll finish it 10x faster drinks come in five minutes for order of 2, and the place gets pretty lively by 11 am (it's very peaceful at like 8) but there is still plenty of seating!
My mom was visiting from LA, so I knew I had to bring her here for a proper Vietnamese coffee experience. She's a huge coffee lover (and pretty picky when it comes to coffee), so I was excited to see what she thought. The Bạc Xỉu was a hit! It had the perfect balance of creamy sweetness with a bold coffee flavor that wasn't overpowering. I ordered the egg coffee, and wow--it was incredibly rich, velvety, and indulgent. The silky egg cream created an almost custard-like topping that made every sip feel like a decadent dessert while still letting the coffee shine through. If you enjoy creamy coffee drinks, this one is a must. The café itself is just as impressive as the drinks. The space is bright, modern, and thoughtfully designed with an upscale aesthetic that feels inviting without being pretentious. It's the kind of place where you could easily spend an afternoon catching up with friends or getting some work done. The staff was genuinely friendly and welcoming, and despite the café being busy, our drinks came out surprisingly quickly. Great service always makes a good coffee experience even better. Whether you're already a fan of Vietnamese coffee or looking to try something beyond your usual latte, this spot is absolutely worth a visit. We'll definitely be back the next time my mom is in town!
Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon around 3:00-3:30 PM. The café was busy, with every table occupied and a large number of online orders being prepared. You can place your order either at the kiosk or directly with the staff. Despite most of the drinks and food only requiring assembly, the wait was longer than expected. Given the setup, I expected service to be much quicker. The biggest disappointment was the coffee. I ordered it with less ice and 25% sugar, but it didn't seem like either request was followed. For a $7 coffee, the portion was surprisingly small--it was gone in just a few sips, which felt like poor value for the price. Overall, the coffee was underwhelming, the service was slow, and the portion size didn't justify the cost. Unfortunately, this visit didn't live up to the hype, and I don't see myself coming back.

The website will send updates for when the drinks are ready, and this is the second time I had to wait once my drinks were supposedly ready for pick up. Inside there is a pick up window but it seems like pick up is anywhere along the counter as long as you talk to the baristas. It's clean inside and plenty of seats to sit while you wait.

The space is aesthetic and roomy and has an ample number of tables inside and outside, although they can often be filled. But even with a packed house, there's still plenty of wiggle room to place and wait for orders. Eggspresso Hanoi. Lacàphê's version of egg coffee that is exactly as you would expect. Strong Vietnamese coffee with a creamy egg foam. Coconut. We were pleasantly surprised by this one! The coconut Vietnamese coffees we've tried at other places often come as a blended coffee, and it can get watered down as the ice melts. But the coconut cream in Lacàphê's Coconut adds such a richness and subtle sweetness that is the perfect pair for the bitter coffee. This might be one of our new faves! See you again soon, Lacàphê!
Good Vietnamese coffee spot located in a small plaza. Parking can be a bit tough. Inside can get crowded easily despite the shop being decent size for a coffee place. Ordered online on Square and waited by the pick up area for a little bit but drinks ordered online are in the fridge so be sure to ask the workers if your drinks are ready. I went on a weekday around 12:00pm and it was packed inside with 2 workers. Took a bit to flag someone down but our drinks were ready in time. I got the MUỐI and my husband got the eggspresso hanoi. Both drinks were delicious and strong. The cream to coffee ratio is a bit too much though in my opinion. Wish there was less cream and more coffee. The ice amount was perfect for it being light ice. Sweetness level was good too for being 50%. Definitely on the sweeter side though so I recommend not getting 100% unless you drink your coffee VERY sweet. Wasn't biter at all. Overall, definitely recommend this spot! Delicious drinks and fast service. It seems they make the coffee and drinks prebatch FYI which makes the service quick. I wish they had a large option, hopefully they add that in the future. Love that they have matcha and teas as well.
Came here during soft opening! The interior is amazing. I mean just look how modern it looks. It feels like that I'm going into the future basically with the way the pick up and order windows are as well as the dining area. It was loud here and has a lot of people probably because of how good the place is here. It also gives you this type of vibe where you can work, study, and even hangout. As usual, I go for one of their signature drinks here if I haven't visited this establishment specifically the Signature Saigon. Really sweet and delicious honestly. I definitely should go for other drinks the next time I visit! Not sure if they serve food here but I gotta check again. I heard that there's a grand opening tomorrow, but decided not to attend. I went to two of them from different places and got tired of having to stand in long lines. However, I'm still looking forward for my next visit!
So excited we have another Vietnamese coffee shop in the Fremont area. This one is located in the old Starbucks spot beside Home Depot. Lots of parking available. If it gets busy, park in the old REI parking lot or even in the HD lot. I ordered one of their signature drinks: Signature Saigon (their house blend with cloud cream). When I asked, they said it had 3 shots of coffee. Whoa! I thought I'd be bouncing off the walls but on first sip it was actually mild. A very good ratio of coffee to their cream. Not too sweet. Definitely not bitter, but enough to taste that robust bean goodness. Also, FYI: I ordered my drink with less ice as well as 75% sweetness. Perfect for me. The day I went it was very busy (grand opening and all) but there's quite a bit of seating. Very comfy seats as well. Lots of people working on their laptops as well as groups socializing. Great atmosphere. I will definitely be back to try more items. *for oat milk lovers: oat milk is $.85 cents extra*
My husband and I visited the newest Fremont location this past Sunday. We arrived at noon and although the parking lot looked full there were still a few spots open. We quickly realized this location used to be the old Starbucks. There were a few people at the kiosk ordering but it went fast. Every table and seat was occupied and there was a nice chatty buzz. Honestly this is not the best location but it was nice to see a full house. Even with the soft opening rush, the staff did an amazing job at getting the orders out. We ordered a banana matcha, lychee with lotus ice tea and muoi viet iced coffee. Their tea is super potent! Which I appreciate. It came with a spoon to help scoop out yummy whole lychees. I hope this location survives because this is my favorite Viet coffee spots currently. I love supporting women and minority owned businesses. Good luck Lacaphe
We went to their soft opening on a Sunday 6/8/2026 and no crowd which was nice. It's super nice that a new location is closer than San Jose. The decor inside is very modern and all cool neutral colors. Very nice seats even for groups but white? Going to get dirty in time. There is a good enough parking for a crowd. It's close to Home Depot by hwy 680. Ordered our usual drinks, Nau' Vietnamese coffee with cloud foam, and Matcha strawberry with cloud foam, and these tasted the same. I also like their other drinks. We will be regulars here of course!! [23R,2026]
Went here for our coffee fix and it definitely didn't disappoint. We got the Nau (traditional Vietnamese coffee) and the Bac Xiu (less caffeinated version with the cloud). Both were very good! The coffee (as Vietnamese coffee typically is) is quite strong and aromatic. It's definitely worth the price point. Service was great and quick! You can order online or via their tablet in store. There is ample seating and the place is very nice interiorly. Would definitely come back to try something new from their menu as well as get the same drinks as we did today.
What a beautiful coffee shop! I'm more of a milk tea and boba kinda gal, but of course had to try their specialty coffee first. Egg cream coffee (4.5/5) - this drink is very custardy which I absolutely love the taste of. The coffee is also strong without actually tasting strong or bitter. Coffee lovers that enjoy the taste of coffee might not like this drink, but I'm not a huge coffee fan so it works for me. I usually get drinks at 100% sweet at coffee and boba shops but this drink was still a tad too sweet for me and would reduce the sugar next time. If you don't like sweet drinks, even 50% will probably be a bit sweet for you. Saigon coffee (3/5) - this one wasn't as sweet as the custard one and 100% sugar worked for me. It has a unique flavor and I can't pinpoint what it is, but it didn't suit my personal tastes. It was also overly salty, but this drink tends to be a favorite so you should definitely try it for yourself. I'll certainly be back! I'm glad to see a new coffee shop nearby and will have to give their milk teas a try.
This location is very aesthetic, the service is pretty fast and there's lots of seating inside and outside. I've been on 2 different occasions during the week and it's never too busy. What I've tried: Coconut coffee is so good! It has grass jelly and the best ice. 5/5 The coco freeze (blended bev) on the other hand was way too sweet when with adjusting the sweetness 3/5. The muoi is yummy if you like salty sweet, it's a good balance of both. 4/5
Lacaphe is a hit in San Jose, but this new location is located in a funky spot. It's next to a Home Depot so theres a lot of people hanging around outside. Its on the edge of the plaza so its pretty easy to miss. Parking is much easier in this location compared to the ESJ location. The interior is modern with cool vibey wood accents. The built-in seats are unique with a firm cushion padding. The interior is pretty nice and theres even a small outdoor seating area if you have your pup with you. They have a kiosk where you can order yourself or you can try your luck with the cashier. The menu is stacked with coffee, matcha, and some teas. They have some cute merchandise available for purchase such as tote bags and tumblers. *The salted coffee or the "muoi" coffee is a staple here. The sweet and lightly salted combination is fantastic and has you craving more with each sip. Its creamy, strong and well balanced in flavors. I would get 50% sweet as someone who doesn't like coffee too sweet. *The lotus milk tea 25% sweet is also a good option. The lotus milk is creamy, light and refreshing. It's a good alternative if you don't want something highly caffeinated like coffee. What I dislike the most about Lacaphe, which the San Jose location also has in common, is the service. Somehow they find the young adults with the worst attitude and no customer service experience. Just letting everyone know, most Vietnamese people in Vietnam are kind, friendly, and hospitable. The ones in the Bay Area can be so cold and stuck-up. It's not an accurate representation of our people, I promise. I've only been here once but I noticed a few things during my 50 minute stay. Workers don't talk to you until you initiate and ask for help. They WILL ignore you unless you call for them. I also witnessed a worker scolding customers because she had been calling their order for 10 minutes or so and they didn't respond. I personally hate when bad service ruins the taste of their product. It does leave a bitter taste in customers mouth so please don't think that service doesn't matter even in fast casual setting. Lacaphe offers solid authentic Vietnamese coffees along with trendy matcha latte flavors. The upscale vibey atmosphere makes it a great spot for a coffee date or to catch up with friends. Unfortunately the service sets Lavaphe back and holds it from an almost perfect rating. read more
Had the chance to try out Fremonts newest viet coffee place! It was super yummy and i would definitely recommend others try it as well! We got the ube viet coffee and matcha ube from their matcha series! Both were SO good and had the perfect amount of ube. I am excited to go back and try more drinks! The location is a little hidden in south fremont. I wish it was a bit more central but oh well! The vibe inside is SUPER clean and natural. I love the greenery and natural colors - it makes for a super aesthetic cafe. I imagine it would be a great place to study or work! read more
Familiar with the Lacaphe in SJ, I was excited to see this location open (even went to the grand opening). The two consistent frontrunner drinks for me: * Signature Saigon -- consistent and has the right balance of sweet for the coffee * Coco Freeze -- perfect on a hot day I've tried the MUỐI but I prefer the signature more. Ambiance is pleasant. It's a nice cafe to enjoy some time with friends here. You'll also find a decent amount of people studying here. read more

Newly opened in Fremont! There's both indoor and outdoor seating for grabs. It's a clean and modern space. There is also Vietnamese music playing in the background. I like their muoi which is a salted phin-dripped coffee topped with a cloud cream at 25% sweetness. My husband enjoyed his eggspresso hanoi. We have also tried their ube coffee which we didn't really like; the ube was too overpowering and tasted a bit different than what we expected. read more

Visited during the grand opening! This was my first time ever attending one and was glad my boyfriend came along to share the experience. The location was pretty good- a shared parking lot so plenty of parking either in the lot or the surrounding area. The actual interior was so warm and inviting. The workers were also so kind and I felt like it was organized so well. We ended up trying... - Signature Saigon 5/5 This was honestly the best drink we got. My favorite local cafes closed in Alameda and I haven't had a Vietnamese coffee in a little over a month and this was just perfect. ALSO THE ICE- 5 stars alone. I love when they use the small crunch ice and not the big cubes. -Muoi 5/5 I'm a Vietnamese salt coffee person- there's something about that sweet and savory mix that just hits the spot. Definitely would get again. I had a super full day too and this got me through it from 10am- 10:30pm. -Banana Matcha - 4/5 If you like banana and matcha you will like this drink! Well balanced and refreshing. I'm just happy I found another place for my viet coffee fix. read more

Visited during their soft launch and tried the Classic Vietnamese Coffee and Coconut Coffee. Both were really good with a strong, rich coffee flavor that stood out. Vietnamese coffee is definitely the highlight here. The downside was the atmosphere. The place was quite noisy, and despite being open for only about a week, the interior felt a bit dirty and unkempt. There is plenty of seating both inside and outside, but the indoor space didn't feel very inviting. The staff were friendly and service was fine. I'd come back for the coffee, but probably only for takeout rather than staying in. read more

New viet coffee place in the area! Plenty of parking in the plaza. We a went on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty busy. We ordered: - eggspresso Hanoi: traditionally phin-dripped coffee topped with egg cream. The coffee was strong, which was perfectly balanced with the slightly sweetened egg cream. We chose less sweet which was a good choice to taste the coffee strength more. - coco-Bo (avocado blended drink): I liked the thickness of the drink but the avocado paste didn't blend too well with the drink so it wasn't as enjoyable. Wish it was made with fresh avocado rather than paste. Overall, a great new viet coffee place in the area! The place is nicely decorated and modern. It was pretty crowded when we went. The staff were friendly and prepared the drinks very quickly. I would try their Saigon freeze and other creams next time! read more

Welcome to Fremont! Nice selection, non-caffeinated slushy type drinks for the youngins, interesting menu items, but also your standard Vietnamese coffee. Siblings said it's better than da vien if you can believe it. On a banana cold foam trip so I paid $1.5 extra for it and it was good, except I have a feeling it's not made with real banana. If it is, I'm sorry, but it tasted not real. Still good though. Was busy on a Sunday morning but drinks came out at a reasonable time. Nice chairs to sit and have a chat or possibly even do a little work from. They have signs requesting that you don't put your feet on the chairs. Who are these monsters? Behave yourself, Fremont. Parking lot is crowded but not a problem to park in any of the adjacent lots. read more

The decor is so cute! Very modern and well decorated. Plenty of tables to sit and space to stand to wait for your drinks. Seating outside as well. Service is simple. There's a kiosk to order and if the line gets too long someone at the register will take your order. When the sun is out I'm sure the lighting is pretty inside. It happened to be gloomy the day/time we went. Ordered: -banana matcha latte 50% sweet w/oatmilk: matcha is premade in a pitcher. Definitely tastes watered down. Banana cream tastes artificial (3/5) -Muoi 75% sweet: really good balance of bitter, sweet, and salty (4/5) -Green cloud 75% sweet (not pictured): Floral green Thai tea with their salt cloud foam. Also a perfect blend (4/5) Price point is pretty high up there ranging from $7-9. But a lot of cafe's that serve similar drinks have similar prices. Although, I was disappointed spending $9.30 on a mid matcha. They're still on their soft opening so maybe it'll improve over time. I've tried their San Jose location before but tried their coffee only. read more
Solid coffeeshop! I'm not a coffee person but it seemed like their Viet coffees were pretty popular. We opted for the banana matcha (5/5), ube matcha (4/5), and house milk tea (4/5.) I have been waiting for Lacāphê to open since the sign was added onto the windows sometime last year. My office is close to the location and I'm so excited this is now open! One of my coworkers and I went quickly during lunch and I am excited to go back to try other items. We both opted for match, she ordered the strawberry while I ordered the banana matcha and I love how you can adjust the sweetness to your preference. I also appreciate the staff to all greet us and even offered their recommendation to us since we were overwhelmed with the menu. We can't wait to go back to try everything! Lastly, the aesthetic of the place is definitely a coffee shop vibe you wouldn't mind being at. It's welcoming and feels like home. read more
Between Qamaria's rich Yemeni pistachio lattes, Tong Sui's ethereal fruit drinks, Michelin Star teas at Chicha San Chen, it's really hard to choose where to go for a fun drink. And now Lacaphe comes on the horizon with delish Vietnamese banana matcha. We South Bay-ers are seriously blessed! The banana matcha has great banana cream flavor. The matcha taste is less pronounced but still present. I loved the topping of crushed nilla wafers. The cafe is clean and nice, with a lot of seating, and it's clearly super popular! read more

We got the Nau Viet coffees. They were so yummy! This is a very chic and beautifully designed space, I feel that even their cups were thoughtfully designed as well. I will def come back! read more

Was in the mood for coffee, as always, so stopped by this place as it's been in my bookmarks for a while. Actually their SJ location was, but was in the area looking for coffee and found that there's this one too here in Fremont! Service here was super quick which was nice. We ordered after a party of 7 people, and our drinks came out within 5-7 min. Impressive! I got 50% sweetness and it was as sweet as I would've liked it. Next time I'd do 75-100%. So that was my bad. Overall the coffee was good! I'd come back to try their matcha at ask for my coffee sweeter! read more

I've come here a few times already, I always adjust my sugar levels to 25/30% and it comes out just right. Not super spacious for studying / working and music is typically upbeat Viet pop/EDM/rap. A little hard to focus but overall a great spot for matcha and Viet coffee! read more

So excited Lacaphe is in Fremont now! Off Auto Mall by Home Depot. Parking immediately close to the cafe is a bit tight but tons of parking a but further out. Love the decor inside and there's a little patio area outside tho it currently looks out into construction. Still was in soft opening but I got the eggspresso hanoi to compare to the other location. It wasn't as sweet as I was used to and the flavor was slightly off tho I did get 25% sweet, so perhaps they're still dialing in the drinks. Siblings got the coco freeze and the signature saigon both of which were 10/10 delicious. Will definitely be returning. read more

Had the Signature Saigon and Ube Matcha. Signature Saigon was really good, had it with 25% sweet and it's just the right sweetness but not too bitter. Ube Matcha was ok 4.5 stars maybe? Intended to get Coco-Bo but their "avocado wasn't ready"? Will have to return to try that. Place looks nice, clean and has some bar tables and regular tables. Outside seating available too. You can order ahead online or at the store. read more

For $6-$7, I would expect a full cup of coffee. Came here for the first time today and ordered the not-so-caffeinated viet coffee with less ice. Instead I was given half a cup of ice and the other half of coffee. When I brought it to the staff's attention, she took a spoon and scooped out a tiny bit of ice. I was still left with a lot of ice. No offer to fill the cup more. I didn't bother saying anything further and left after they replaced the cup cap. I didn't drink any of the coffee and took these pics when I went next door to Quiznos to pick up my order. Most likely won't come back to this location. And I wouldn't tip in advance like I did this time since I don't get good service. It's a shame. read more
Pros: walking distance from home, taste ok, environment nice Cons: study hall for school kids that's occupied all the seats. Some finished their drinks but appears they'll be there much longer. I wasn't able to find a spot to sit so decided for take out unfortunately. Gotta photos of my drinks ofcourse. Will I come again? Probably not read more

I was super excited to try this place! But very disappointing. The prices are high but quality is low. One - the matcha is not fresh, it's all prebatched. $8.45 and you can't even bother to mix in fresh matcha? There is a bad after taste and you can taste the oxidation. This is why I think it doesn't come layered, because the color is muddy otherwise. I ordered it 50% sweet and it's just bad. I will try their Vietnamese coffee next time but not impressed. read more

I got the bạc xỉu with grass jelly. It was well balanced between the flavors of the coffee and cream. The grass jelly was a bit hard to get as it wasn't going through the straw and got stuck with the ice at the end. I love that they used nugget ice though! The portion could have been bigger for the price and preparation. Most of the drinks were made from concentrations probably made at the beginning of the day. You can order at the self-order kiosk, which has all the drinks and their descriptions clearly on the menu. The order took a while to come out as it was busy, but the interior was nicely arranged, and the outdoor seating was also pretty relaxing to enjoy my drink. read more
