Matcha Latte

This spot right here is the BEST matcha spot in the Bay. The BEST. The matcha scene is pretty saturated in the Bay, but Lac Coffee truly takes the cake. I dropped by with no expectations and left a die-hard fan. I got their classic Matcha Latte. Their matcha is so incredibly robust, earthy, and grassy in all the best ways. They also have a Pandan Matcha and L.A.C which is matcha and Viet coffee. My friends got both of these drinks and from the sips I sneaked, they were also divine! Protect and support this Viet-owned small business at all costs! :')

I love anything banana matcha. It was perfect and not too sweet. I could taste the banana, and it works well with the matcha. Also, I love the sprinkle of Biscoff crumbs on top. It is a perfect touch. The inside is beautiful and perfect for dates or just hanging out with friends to study or relax.

Definitely the pick me up that I needed at 1pm! My first time ever trying a matcha coco and it was so refreshing! I'm definitely coming back to try more items from their menu. They have such a great menu with a variety of drinks to choose from. I would recommend this spot to everyone!

First time here and the drinks were good. They have a nice amount of seating both inside and outside. The Vietnamese coffee was nice and strong.

Very cozy and calming vibes; minimalist decor. Very welcoming environment, a good place to catch up over coffee or study. Limited items on the menu for drinks and pastries. Drinks are pretty good. Haven't tried the pasties but its options are limited. Wished they had more options. Drinks are a little on the pricier end. Parking is available upfront or in the parking lot. Very convenient. Lac Coffee is lovely; would definitely would recommend.

Overall: 4.75/5 Been recommended this place and I finally got to try it. Good amount of parking, quick service, gets busy quickly but worth it :). You can order on the kiosk or employees if they're not busy. Drinks: - Strawberry Matcha: not overly sweet, needs more strawberries - Jasmine Matcha: fragrant but jasmine overpowers the matcha slightly, unfamiliar jasmine taste? - Matcha Latte: got 50% sweet (perfect), strong matcha, good bittersweet :) - Banana Matcha: out of all the banana matchas I've tried, this one is the best. Great balance of natural banana and strong matcha, banana doesn't taste artificial. Strong Recommendation :)

This is a relative new matcha coffee place. It uses Vietnamese coffee beans for some drinks and the owner is Vietnamese ethnic American. Indoor decoration is modern and good ambiance. Very comfortable for a coffee shop. You can self order from the QR code display outside or use the kiosk machine . They sell some Bakery food and drinks . We tried the matcha latte and the LAC coffee ( which is very strong ) . Both tasted great. Would like to return to try other drinks .

I've been wanting to try out Lac Coffee ever since I saw it as a result on my Yelp page. So when I was choosing a spot to meet up with a friend, it was a no brainer. In short, due to a wild no electricity day, luckily we came in before and got our drink. It was strong for sure and I'm looking forward to trying out the rest of the menu. L O C A T I O N Lac Coffee is in a small little plaza on Cedar Blvd. Parking can be very difficult and the spots tight. I N S I D E There is a lot of seating but it does get busy and full. There's a restroom that can be used by customers. M E N U They're known for both their Vietnamese and Matcha drinks. They have a lot of creative drinks but since it was my first time, I decided to try out their classic Vietnamese Coffee - Vietnamese Old Fashioned. So I was being dumb and ordered light ice and light sugar and forgot I got a Vietnamese coffee. I was BUZZIN. It was also very strong and bitter but that's on me. It was good though! S E R V I C E I ordered at the front and it was pretty quick as it was earlier in the morning. Then unfortunately, the whole complex had a power outage which caused a bit of a conundrum for the workers and any new customers coming. The line was waaay out the door when I left after an hour or so of being there. It didn't affect us as I already got my drink before the outage and I was there to chat with a friend. O V E R A L L If it does get busy, they do have ordering online so it's nice to order then pick up. If you're early enough to opening, it's not too bad and no lines when I went. The drink is definitely quality and the price matches. I would love to come back and try out more of their menu. Definitely check them out!

Solid matcha place with rotating seasonal drinks. Been here twice now and can say it's one of the better matcha places in the south bay. First time I came, they had a maple cream top which was delicious! Their matcha is great, more on the earthy side. I suggest at least 50% or 75% sweetness for those who like a sweet matcha. If not, 25% will be best just to get the matcha taste. Price wise, it was about $7 a drink but if you get milk alternatives, it ends up being $8. Pretty standard for a drink nowadays. I would definitely recommend to try this place out if you are around the area! It's in a plaza so there's plenty of parking.

Hojicha latte with banana cream, pandan matcha

This quiet cafe has a cute design with plants all around and plenty of seating. It's a great place to hang with friends or do some work! A little sad that it doesn't really have any board games like some cafes do. The staff is very friendly and helpful! We got the hojicha latte with banana cream and the pandan matcha. Both of the drinks were not bad! The banana cream was more of a cold foam than cream since it was pretty light. The pandan was stronger near the end and the matcha flavor was decent. However, we asked for light ice and we still got a cup full of ice. Our drinks were also not filled all the way. For $9 a drink, there are better options out there.

- pandan matcha: 25% sweet was still kinda sweet but i liked it. This was creamy and the matcha tasted great - matcha latte (with oat milk): 25% sweet was not very sweet, matcha tasted a bit grassy, and it was strangely watery? they have the option to do an extra matcha shot but i think the regular matcha is strong enough.

Came on a Sunday around 9:30am and was able to place my order right away. There's a self-order kiosk, but you can also order directly at the counter. Lac Cafe is located in a small plaza with a decent amount of parking, though I can see it being harder to find a spot during busier hours. I really appreciated how clean and modern the interior felt. The walls feature beautiful artwork highlighting different parts of Vietnam, along with décor that reflects their coffee culture. There's plenty of indoor seating, and I stayed for about three hours. It was mostly chill and quiet until around noon when it started picking up. The service was friendly and efficient. I knew I wanted something with pandan, and the staff member who helped me was patient and kind, offering helpful customization recommendations. I ordered: - Pandan Matcha (default: 50% sweet, whole milk): Loved it! The pandan flavor was prominent without overpowering the matcha, and the default sweetness was perfectly balanced. It was also ready in under five minutes. 5/5. Overall, Lac Cafe is a great spot if you're looking for a relaxed environment, thoughtful service, and well-balanced drinks that make you want to linger a little longer.

Pandan Matcha + house cream & Hojicha latte + Hojicha cream
Sabrina H.

Visited on a Saturday afternoon after lunch and it was not too busy, they also make the drinks relatively quick as well, that's nice! The parking in the plaza is a little hard as it seems to fill up quickly, so keep that in mind if you're visiting! My friend and I got the Pandan Matcha and the Hojicha latte, as our first time here. The default for all drinks is set to 50% sweetness, so we just stuck with that. I added the house cream ontop of my Pandan Matcha, while my friend added the Hojicha cream ontop of hers. The Pandan Matcha was good, but more sweet than I expected, as it was set to the default 50% sweetness. Despite that, it was a decent mix of Pandan + Matcha, but the Pandan being a little more powerful since it's in the milk. (I love both Pandan and Matcha, but I think I'd pass on this drink) Next time I'd try the Vietnamese coffee drinks instead! The Hojicha latte was quite good, a more well balanced drink that was not too sweet! That drink was more my style. There's ample amount of seating inside and it wasn't loud or too rowdy, so it would be a great study or reading spot! Overall the drinks were good!

Ordering was via a kiosk and I was pleasantly surprised when my drink. And out within 2 minutes of ordering. The drink was served in a boba cup (heat sealed) which made it both easier and somehow harder to mix (harder to stir the bottom without disrupting the lid and making a mess). There was a solid chunk of what I think was egg pudding on top, but once the egg foam mixed in with the coffee, the flavors balanced each other out well. I may not go out of my way to get tram coffee, but I will likely come back given it's convenient location and otherwise decent cup of Vietnamese coffee

I got regular sweetness, and it was pretty sweet, so maybe less sweetness would be just perfect. Tiramisu Milk Cake: 5/5 I loved! It was super moist, and not too sweet. It was a nice combo with the Iced Biscoff Latte. Iced Double Matcha: 1/5 Really bad! I had high hopes for the matcha, seeing as how popular and how good their other items were. I'm a big matcha fan, and their matcha didn't taste right at all. It tasted super watered down, and lacked genuinely any flavor. Super disappointing! Chicken Shawarma: 4/5 Pretty yum! It definitely filled my up. Had a good amount of chicken, and came to me warm. Would get again, but isn't super exciting or different. Would love if there were a sauce that came with it. It is super packed! Lots of people coming and going, so the noise level is pretty high all the time. Good amount of seating options, but it was full basically the entire time I was there (4+ hours). Lots of drink and food options (sweet and savory). Good service -- they bring your order to your table. Wish there were more outlets available, and the floors were pretty dirty. I didn't see them clean or quickly wipe down any of the tables during the entire time I was there. I moved tables twice and had to wipe the table down as it was wet from drinks and crumbs.

I moved out towards…read morethis neck of the words and was searchin' searchin' searchin', and my thirsty heart led me to here! --- F O O D & D R I N K S --- The first drink I had at Qamaria was the Pistachio Latte with oatmilk and whewwww... easily the best pistachio latte I've ever had. The pistachio flavor tastes rich and legit without being overly sweet or covering up the coffee. A lot of pistachio drinks at other spots taste like artificial syrup, but this one is smooth, balanced, and actually complements the espresso. I also love seeing that deep green color in the clear cups--it just looks so aesthetic and makes the drink feel even more authentic. Honestly, 9 out of 10 times, this is what I'm ordering. If it's your first time here, PLEASE get it. Thankfully my husband is always down to be adventurous and order something different so we can still guarantee at least one pistachio latte on the table lol. His go-to is the Qamaria Latte with oatmilk, sometimes with cold foam. It sounds simple--espresso, steamed milk, cardamom, and cinnamon--but it tastes like comfort in a cup. The cardamom and cinnamon make it feel warm, cozy, and layered without punching you in the face with sugar. Nothing tastes artificial here. Everything feels intentional and made with care. Also, whether you dine in or take it to-go, the drinks always look cute. I LOVE the dine-in presentation though. The iced drinks come in clear glass cups so you can see all the layers, and the hot drinks come in these thick ceramic mugs that make the experience feel extra cozy. And I'm such a sucker for their tray setup too--everything matches the aesthetic so well and makes coffee dates here feel extra special. And don't even get me started on the milk cakes because they are dangerously good. My fave is the Biscoff milk cake. It's super soft, creamy, rich, and has the perfect caramelized cookie flavor without being too sweet. It paired sooo well with the warm spices in the coffee. _______________________________________________________ --- S E R V I C E --- Each barista I ever had was kind and super chill. I never felt rushed and they took their time answering questions. It sounds pretty simple but I feel like even with how busy it can get, they pace themselves accordingly behind the counter so that they are intentional and patient with their customers, and work in a consistent pace that gets drinks done in time and hands them off with care. Very contrast to a cafe where baristas are working so fast-paced that their interactions are short and it feels like that they just want to get the drink over with and passed off to the customer. It all goes back to Qamaria's baristas being intentional with the way that they work. Keep doin' your thing y'all. Love the flow. _______________________________________________________ --- A M B I A N C E -- It's funny because the first time my husband and I pulled up was after dinner on a Friday night. He was feenin' for coffee and was like, "What's even open this late?" Yoooo, finding out Qamaria Yemeni Coffee was open until 1 AM on Fridays and Saturdays instantly made us happy because now we got a late-night spot whenever the cravings hit. Most nights they're open until midnight too, which is dangerous lol. And let me tell you... this place gets CRACKIN'. We came around 10:30 PM and the line was out the door, but I'm so glad we stayed because the drinks changed our life. Even on a random weekday when I met up with a homegirl, we looked up from yappin' for hours and suddenly the line was wrapped outside again. Trust--it's worth the wait. The inside is warm, modern, and culturally rich without feeling forced or overly trendy. The arches, lighting, patterned seating, earthy tones, and artwork make the whole space feel cozy and intentional. Even when it's packed, it still feels welcoming and communal--honestly just proof this is THE spot to be no matter the time of day. People are studying, catching up with friends and fam, working, or just vibing over coffee, and it somehow all works together perfectly. It's the type of café that makes you want to slow down and stay awhile instead of grabbing your drink and leaving.

The workers (I didn't catch their names but it was a young woman and man) were so incredibly sweet with customizations and explaining different drinks since they have an extensive menu. Their drinks run a bit sweet even though I usually get 100% sweet at all the other boba shops so if you're similar, I recommend at least reducing to 80%. They're currently running a BOGO 50% M-W for the first 50 customers. I'm not sure how long it'll last, but it's definitely a great deal and I'll try to visit as often as I can. There are a few more boba shops opening on this strip, but Tea Top is a great location that you should try if you haven't.

Final Thoughts: 2.00/5.00…read more After dinner, my friend and I went to get boba at the shop a few doors down. Perhaps we should have chosen somewhere else. My friend said that his coworkers will go here sometimes and they seem to like it. To each their own. I have personally had better, but I'll try anything once. Overall, will be a 2 star for me today. Drinks: Matcha Latte: 1.5/5 Very interesting how this place has fairly high marks and reviews. Maybe because their other drinks are better? I chose this drink today because I've very much gotten into matcha. This drink was not for me though. First look gave me that sense too. Lovely layering, but it was when it was mixed did I really see it. My one note is the amount of milk that is added to this drink. When it comes to matcha drinks, I find that less is more with the base. This drink just had so much milk and ice at the bottom and it completely dilutes the matcha. Had this matcha been in a little less milk, it may have been better. This also dulls out the color of it and makes the drink itself unappealing when it's mixed. This drink is super grainy at the bottom and I tried to mix it more, but that really didn't help. Sweetness was alright. Again, flavor of it was just the milk, so I can't say too much of the matcha since it drowned out. Grapefruit Green Tea with Crushed Ice: 3.0/5 This was my friend's drink and I tried it for my review purposes. This was the better option of the two. The grapefruit and tea drink itself was very refreshing. Sweetness was good. Something about the crushed ice made it better. I honestly don't think this drink would be the same with the regular cubed large ice. The crushed ice was also mixed in with the grapefruit pulp at the top too. I like that addition of the grapefruit because of it's natural flavor and that texture from it. Grapefruit can be slightly bitter, but I actually like it that subtle bitterness with the sweetness and tartness in it. The green tea is a good option to have with think drink because it's very light and doesn't overpower the remainder of the drink. Sweetness was good for me. Definitely more of a passing drink than the drink option that I chose today. Menu: Good enough variety Again, looks to be your standard boba shop menu. There are a fair amount of items on their menu for you to choose from though. Perhaps their fruit teas would have been the better option for me here. I thought my friend's drink was really refreshing and appropriate for the weather at the time. --------- Quality: So-so The matcha really doesn't look like my ceremonial grade matcha powder. Slightly oxidized and dulled out green color. This might be because it looked completely diluted, but maybe not. What gets me was how grainy it was too. Now, looking at my friend's drink, I liked the grapefruit pulp and the use of the natural fruit inside the drink. So, will depend on what you get and your preferences. Price: Average Truly your average Bay Area prices for these drinks and what they are. The price will range from $5 to $8, so really within that standard boba drink price here. Service: Friendly They greeted us when we walked into the shop and they were also really quick to make the drink. I noticed the person making the drink come to the front too to see what we would order and he started making it right after we paid for the drinks. Loving the quick service. There wasn't many groups ahead of us, so he was able to do this. I'm sure they try their best to keep up and make it quickly to order though, which I appreciate. Ambiance: Standard boba shop The interior is giving your very standard boba shop and smell. There are a few tables on the side and the counter on the other side. I think this would be a nice studying stop or charting spot because it seems very peaceful. Location/Parking: Long Plaza; Optimal Parking Spaces This area is on Cedar Blvd. The plaza itself is quite long and made up of sections of buildings. All of it seems to be connected though, so there are parking spaces. Doesn't seem like it was super super saturated of an area during the time, so my friend and I were able to park close by. I really don't see parking being too much of an issue though.

My first time I went here the first drink I ordered was a hot ginger milk tea, which has a spicy yet soothing texture. Most of the drinks I've ordered from Feng Cha Teahouse are dirty boba drinks. The consistency of these boba drinks isn't too watery. Also in terms of the flavor the dirty boba drinks isn't too sweet that you can get a sugar rush. There are several boba drink places that serve food. What makes Feng Cha Teahouse different from other places that serve food is the milk foam cakes. I could be wrong, but I don't see milk foam cakes sold at other boba places. The milk foam cake served at Feng Cha Teahouse is light and airy. The flavors of the milk foam cake provide a texture similar to cheese souffle. My favorite milk foam cake at Feng Cha Teahouse is the sea salt pearl. It's like dirty boba on a foam cake. I don't come to Feng Cha Teahouse every time after dessert however if I have a craving after dinner I'd come here for the dirty boba and milk foam cake.
