He was trying to get my acrylic nails off with pliers, digging under my natural nail with his finger nails to lift the acrylic. Most of my natural nail was ripped off. I am starting to get frustrated with Lacey Nails. Depending on the technician I could leave with great looking nails and like they cared, or a crap experience with crap nails. Most of the gals are great and one of the guys has been good, but one of the guys has been terrible. My dip manicure is super thick and bulbous and half of the powder was still stuck to my skin after finishing. He basically threw cutical oil at my fingers and, without rubbing it in, said "done" and took off. I will drive further away to a salon that does well. read more

I have been in this community and going to Lacey Nails for 14 years off and on. I went yesterday to have my acrylic nails cut down, ended up not liking the shape so I requested them to be taken off. They didn't use any product. They charged me $40! Such a rip off. They have changed over the years and and all they care about is money. They are extremely rude, snooty, and do not care about their customers whatsoever. It has turned into a factory. Super sad to see it change for a once great place. Now I have to find somewhere else to also do my eyebrows, which Nancy was the best at. But unfortunately I am no longer comfortable there. read more

I wish I could put 0 stars for the experience I just had. I left the nail salon completely unhappy and while explaining my dissatisfaction, I was yelled at in front of the whole salon. I was given no discount for the fact that my nails looked nothing like the picture. I spoke up twice telling her my nails were not what I wanted while she did them and she did not fix them. I left with a bleeding nail, crooked nails and clear see through polish that was supposed to be white. Sadly enough it was the owner who did all of these things and did not make it right. Getting in the long line with the rest of the people to add my one star review! Needed a polish change on short notice. This salon was open on a Sunday and near the other errand I needed to run. Just needed a regular old school polish change-no gel-nothing fancy. I even brought my own polish. The female technician was rude. Not a drop of water or nail clipper was used. I asked for my nails to be filed. She literally used the file for one swipe right and one swipe left per nail, that's it. Didn't even polish all of my nails. Pointed it out to her and she visibly became bothered and began telling the male technician next to her all about it. I'm told she's done so I go to the front desk to pay. A very young male worker tells me the total is $20. What?!?! Told him I brought my own polish and how nearly zero of their supplies were used. He said they don't charge for polish. They SPOILED ME! I posted a photo of the nails I wanted online and asked my friends where I should go and an overwhelming number said Lacey Nails. So when we went in I let them know I was getting married over the weekend and they have me the best treatment, even stayed late to perfect my finger nails. They also made sure to cover a small black spot on my toe nail that i had not even noticed in order to make sure I looked "perfect for my almost special day!" Not only were they kind and the nails looked AMAZING but they stayed on for over three weeks without a single one lifting or chipping. When i when up to the register to pay they asked me to pay in cash and offered me to use the the ATM machine they have right in the salon. Not all technicians there have the proper licenses and the owner is rude , yelling and screaming the entire time. I will not come back to this place. I have gone to this salon for a number of years. I'm not sure why things have changed so dramatically this past year, but I will not be returning. The owner/manager is openly rude to her employees and always seems stressed. I think the emphasis is on fast client turnover and that's when problems arise. It also seems as though the service speciality has become nail "art" rather than quality service. During a recent acrylic nail service an employee painfully tore my nail - resulting in what will be permanent damage to my nail bed. That employee was abruptly told to move and a different nail tech took over. I repeatedly pointed out my damaged nail and the tech just kept smiling and working. My error was to just remain in the chair and continue with the service. The owner was fully aware of what had happened but made no effort to apologize or reduce the charge for the service. As they were sitting there having them done they were informed it would be $55 "due to increased costs for coronavirus precautions". My girls felt humiliated and completely taken advantage of. This is my favorite nail salon to go to in Lacey! I feel like other places around here can be kind of inconsistent, but at Lacey Nails I've always come out pleased with my nails (both acrylics and gel). Only giving 4 stars just because they always seem to be busy so I've always had to wait a little bit. I rarely write reviews but feel like after going here consistently for over a year, I should share my opinion. This salon is a hidden gem tucked away in shopping center off Yelm Highway. The salon has been recently remodeled with white on white modern displays, stations and equipment. I started coming here after experiencing non-consistent service and wait times elsewhere. The staff is very polite and work hard to make sure you're happy and comfortable. I also notice that there is very little wait time and all the staff take care of their work place. It is hands down the cleanest nail salon I've ever visited. They have all the trendy colors and offer original designs. Just bring in a photo from Pinterest and they can copy it. read more

This was the worst nail experience I've ever had. I felt like crying when I was there. The lady doing my fill stabbed my finger with the cuticle cutter. I sat there all stunned and finally asked for a paper towel so I could wipe the blood before it smeared and I wanted clean it up so it didn't get infected. She handed me a small piece of Kleenex and I put hand sanitizer on it and held it there to hopefully prevent an infection. The lady doing my nails didn't apologize or say one word. She didn't bat an eye. Another lady came over to paint my nails after the fill was done. She started rubbing directly on my wound because she thought the red fingernail polish had smeared. I just said oh..nope that's just blood from where the other lady stabbed my finger. Not a peep from her either. To top it off my nails look horrible and all fat and round looking with a little sore on the edge of my nail. Seriously wtf. What a nightmare! How you literally going to make someone bleed and just act like it's not happening and not even wiping blood away or thinking maybe you should clean it up? I usually only get manicures like once every other month, and I go to Lacey Nails because it's within walking distance to my home. I'm not very specific for taking care of my nails. As long as they're cut and filed, I'm happy. But it's difficult to also trim my cuticles because of my disability, so that's why I go to Lacey Nails. Whenever I stop in, the nail techs greet me and always ask if I brought my dogs(I walk my dogs in the area and they see me doing that very often). I noticed that the shop has been renovated to look a bit more classy. It's been pretty busy probably because of the renovation. There's wait times to where I'd have to wait 20+ minutes, or I could come in and it'd be nearly empty on certain days. What I do like is their skill. Since I'm disabled, the nail techs would accommodate me and provide a great manicure. Overall, I'll continue with them because of the close proximity and the talented staff. We had a bit of a wait today because we wanted to sit together but they kept us informed the whole time on how long. I went to Lacey Nails Salon to get a pedicure for me and my daughter, then they brought me a list of pedicure options. I told them we wanted the classic/basic one. The price of a classic pedicure is $25 and they started the pedicure. I later saw a small sign that said they were going to charge me 10% more to cover their extra cleaning supplies for COVID-19. When they brought out the color palette I chose my color assuming that it was a classic/basic nail polish. When I went to pay, they charged me $80 instead of $50. I asked why and they said they were only applying gel polish, which isn't a classic/basic nail polish. They never told me that it wasn't and decided to go ahead and charge me for something I didn't ask for. I'll never come back again. read more

They are speedy, but not too speedy, and I've only ever had to wait for service once: It was the July 3rd and everyone was under the impression that they'd be closed the 4th, so everyone decided to get their nails done that day! The service here depends on the technician working on you, but I feel that is true at about any place you go to, whether it be food or a massage. I've never been dissatisfied, though. I always get gel nails, and not counting grow out, they always last as long as I need them too. I enjoy getting pedicures here, too. I've only had my brow waxed once here, but it was...like having hair ripped from my face. Isn't it the same everywhere? The free WiFi is nice. I've seen the autoclave (its by the wax chair) and I've seen some technicians take their tools out of autoclave bags. I've watched technicians clean pedicure tubs after rendering service. The establishment is always clean and bright. The reason I don't give 5 stars is because, yes, there have been times when my cuticles have bled or have been sore.
