What was ordered: Greek Salad w/ Gyros First of all, the salad was huge! With how pricey eating out is, I don't expect much when we order. Guess lower my expectations, get delightfully surprised? Either way, the salad was big enough to eat half for lunch and half for dinner/bfast! Gyro portions were also generous and not overly salty or tough. It was actually my son's favorite part of my salad besides of course my pita bread. There was a balance of feta, olives, extremely delicious tomato slices and crispy lettuce topped with slices of red onion. Honestly, it was the type of fresh I needed on a hot day. I had ordered for pick-up on Doordash, and our order was all ready to go - just in time to beat the lunch rush. Seriously though, this place gets crazy around noon. Really like the food here- gyro and fries are my favorite and we've had it multiple times. Also like the cafe vibe outdoor seating but we end up getting takeout more often. While still a more decent choice here in Cali for gyros, you will NOT get the authentic ALL lamb option (it's sadly mixed w/beef). I usually wait to go home to the east coast, especially New York. Came here today w/a friend only to learn to both our horror that the natural soda (Stubborn) has been replaced with Coke garbage. Something about they were having difficulty getting product. Hmmmmmm, while there might be some truth to this, I'm pretty sure Coke sold its poison for way cheaper. Otherwise what decent restaurant would DOWNgrade to a cheaper, low quality, unhealthy soda? I was in the area and was craving some gyro and wanted to try a new place to me. I chose to get their Gyro plate ($19.14) which comes with 1 side, 1 dip, pita bread, and rice pilaf. I got their hummus which was creamy and well seasoned. They also had a side of lemon potatoes which where tender and had a crispy outer skin with a strong lemony taste. The gyro was moist and well seasoned but not too salty, the rice pilaf was good. The staff is nice and the order came quickly. read more

This place was recommended by friends. I've only gotten delivery, so I adjust my expectations accordingly. Ladera is the best Greek place I've tried in Temecula. I especially like that they have Dolmas (Stuffed Grape Leaves). My only nit pick is that they don't give enough hummus (which is really good) along with the meals. read more

Monday, 10-21-2024: Hubby & I came here for lunch after our dental appointments. We've been mostly ordering to go numerous times in the past year. The food is consistently very good and well prepared. During this visit we opted to eat inside as it was a bit warm outdoors. The eatery is bright, clean, and simply decorated with walls adorned with reminders of the food's origins---Greece. A framed Greece flag is proudly displayed. Greek grocery products are available to purchase near the front of the restaurant. My husband had his favorite the Greek Chicken Pita (11.49) and I ordered the mini plate of a Gyro Pita and fries ($9.99). Both meals were so flavorful with generous portions of protein in each. My mini plate was very filling and both were reasonably priced. The lady who took our order was very friendly and welcomed us warmly with a charming Greek accent (we surmised). First of all this place is decorated so nicely. It feels modern with a rustic charm, and it's bright and airy. It's the perfect size to fit 10 or so small groups of people. Customer service - 5 stars. So kind and welcoming. And the food is just as great as everything else. Everything is cooked to order so you'll need to wait 10 or so min but it was worth it. I got the pork sausage loukaniko in a pita, which had the perfect texture and snap to it. It was also well seasoned. Warning: the sausage has orange zest in it, which took me by surprise and the tomatoes could have been a bit smaller but I still enjoyed it. And it was a healthy portion! Always on the lookout for new greek places to try and once we had Ladera, we keep driving back from Escondido for it. They have a great little "market" full of products straight from Greece, lots of Greek beer and sodas, and an expansive menu of Greek delicacies. The gyro is a favorite. The sausage (Loukaniko) is delicious and spiced with orange and fennel - never had that combo in a sausage before. The falafel are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The tzaziki is delicious, as is their fire feta. So far, everything we've tried has been great. Service is quick and the team is always welcoming. Lots of patio seating as well as indoor dining. Lots of adorable decor (photos of donkeys, olive plant jars, etc) that make you feel like you are in a little restaurant on the isle of Santorini. The variety of desserts they offer look great, too. The food and service here is excellent. It was my first time here and the person who took my order was very patient and helpful when I asked him some questions about the menu. My friend and decided to do the combination plate where you pick a protein, side, sauce, and the plates automatically come with rice and yummy pita bread. The portions are big. My friend got the gyro and I got the steak. My steak was perfectly cooked, nice, and tender. Even though the food was delicious, I do feel it's expensive. My plate was almost $30. I would have liked to give this place a slightly above 4 stars, but i cant. The place is in a corner location making it easier to spot. Its well lit and looks clean. It's also not busy when we went making it easier to order. You place your order, then sit down and they take the food to you which is good service. They have a good selection of foods. We ordered the mini meze and mini pitas, avgolemono soup and spanakopitas. Both minis were good, tasty, and came out hot. The spanakopita was good too and decently sized. The soup was good, but only came out warm. The server was helpful, but not really welcoming. Asked for straws because there arent any in the condiment/refreshment section and was told that they ran out. Then another employee came out and said there were still some in the back. They seem to be attentive to getting tables clean after guests use, but need to pay attention to the only trash can that was getting full to the brim. Bathrooms were clean and clean smelling. But only two singular ones that can pose as a problem when its busy. It has one of the better gyros around the area. Will come back again to try the other options on the menu. read more

A fast casual restaurant with good seating inside and outside. We came here to pick up lunch but I wouldn't mind returning to eat at the this place. We got the gyro wrap, moussaka, dolmades, and the lemon chicken soup. Everything was great except the soup. I will get to that in a little bit. First, I was really happy to see a fast Greek food place with moussaka. I don't see that often and the moussaka here is very good. It would be better if the portion size was a little bigger. And the dolmades are the best I have had for a while. The grape leaves are very tender unlike other places where they are chewy. The pita for the wrap was nice and soft. Back to the soup. It's counter service so if you are in a hurry and want some delicious Greek food, this is a great place to try. Restaurant is bright and clean, staff is nice and there's a nice variety of groceries for purchase.
