First off I love the Americana at the Brand. A favorite of mine is Laduree. However out of all the years I have been coming to the Americana. I stopped at Laduree once. I couldn't do their window kiosk. I tried and couldn't do it. I go to the store in Beverly Hills. However this review is not about the store in Beverly Hills. Anyway, I needed a birthday present. I was going to my Favorite chocolatier at a different location. However, at the time I had to consider the heat. Since we were going to be celebrating outside. I also didn't have time to fight the traffic to Beverly Hills. So, I put on my big boy pants and went for the plunge. The associate was pleasant and willing to answer my questions. I told him I shop the B.H. Store. He comforted me that in the macaroons are no different than the B.H. And my loyalty will work here as well. Ladurée at The Americana in Glendale is a little pocket of elegance tucked into the heart of a busy shopping district. Whether you're looking to treat yourself or give as a gift. These macarons are worth every penny and yes it's going to almost 400 pennies to buy one macaron. These are best macarons in the world. They are actually imported from Paris France. Of course, the macarons are the star here, and they absolutely live up to the hype. Delicate, crisp shells with soft, flavorful fillings--each bite is rich but never overwhelming. The classic flavors like pistachio, rose, and vanilla are consistently excellent. Pro Tip: freeze them if you're not going to eat them in 48 hrs. It will keep them crispy and moist when ready to eat. Will I get my macaroons here again. More than likely not. I still prefer the B.H. Location. Why, I enjoy looking at all the macarons and other goodies available. And I always come out with more than macarons. Where as the Glendale location you can only get macarons. read more

Very small booth. The prices of the macarons have gone up, and the macarons have remained tiny. I purchased a box of 6 macarons as a birthday gift. It would be great if the price and macaron quantity of each box was listed to quicken the order process. I asked the lady manning the booth what the price of the boxes were, and she was able to list the price from smallest to largest for me. Other than that, service was very brief and unmemorable. We came for the macarons but got so intrigued y the eugenie that we ended up getting those instead. We chose the pistachio and the rose. The pistachio was very good and not too sweet but has a strong pistachio flavor. The rose has a strong rose flavor but tasted a little too sweet for my liking. I think I prefer the eugenie over macarons. They're a little hard on top with a light cream in the middle. This place is a nice place for a treat and a small taste of the one in France, but it can be a little pricey. The lady who helped us was super nice and keep in mind it's only one person there so please be patient with them if there's a long line. read more

It is sad that the grandeur of Laduree has been reduced to this one location that is a kiosk at the Americana and the storefront at the BH location, which is so much smaller than the original location at The Grove. I would be happier about the fact that there is a small kiosk in Glendale at the Americana if it wasn't run so badly. Also, they almost always have fruit flies flying everywhere. If you didn't know this was LADUREE from France I don't think you'd be wowed by this kiosk which is just a sad outpost of the grand bakery. That said, if you need a fancy and pretty gift that tastes great, I still recommend you get a box of macarons here since you're taking it to go and the person receiving the gift will still love it. read more

I ve given 1 star because i have to draw attention to the management. On 10/9/24 at 11.50pm i was at the Americana Glendale outlet to get macaroon boxes for gift. The store attendant was inside with a notice hanging on the order window " we are on a short break, be back in 15 mins". I thought perhaps she's setting up so wanted to run quick errands there and back in 30 mins to collect. Came back after 30+ minutes back and still the same sign on & no sign of any attendant. Wanted to wait out 15 mins to see if anyone shows up. Waited for another good 25 mins & no one came in. Many ppl just like me came & left & some waited, mostly waited more than 30 mins. We checked online status and it showed operating hours are on. There are cameras perhaps the management should look into the matter. read more

Conveniently located in the infamous Americana at Brand, Ladurée is a good place to get desserts while you shop. Though they are known for their scrumptious macarons, they also have other desserts for those who do not fancy macarons. Usually there is only one person working inside so you may need to wait when theres a few people ahead of you but wont be too bad. I usually get Ispahan for myself. Its huge so I do feel guilty after eating them but it definitely hits the spot when I am desperately in need of sweets. It is not the best Ispahan but I mean why not? It is decent. Honestly, their quality does not par with Ladurée in France or even the one in New York, but it is what it is. Also tried their eclair and it was OK. Everyone has always told me that this place was great. It's located at an outside kiosk in the Americana, but you can park for free at the Glendale Galleria and walk over. Or you can get an hour and a half free with the validation at Nordstrom. There is a nice grassy area where you can sit down or you can sit at one of their outdoor tables. This macaroon saw sweet and soft, as it should be. I thoroughly enjoyed all the flavors of rose, lychee, and raspberry and I'll definitely be coming back! read more

The good: I had the raspberry lychee macaron sandwich with cream, a chocolate chip cookie and a chestnut cream pastry. Their packaging (bag and box) is very fancy and high end. It makes for a great gift. The desserts are visually appealing. The macaron had a good texture. The outdoor stand has a lot of outdoor seating options that is by the water fountain so it sa nice area to stop and get a snack. The bad: The worker smeared chocolate all over the outside of the bag. I agree with a lot of my fellow Yelpers; the service is very subpar, it's terrible. I ordered online and went to the "pick-up" window and waited for a bit and the lady finally told me to wait in the "order" line even though I had already ordered. Another yelper mentioned the lines were confusing. They need to either update the sign or make another sign that clarifies this. So I waited again in the "order" line and when I showed her my pick-up order at the window, the lady was already shooing me to the side. She said, "Can you wait on the side and move over so I can help the people behind you." And I was like what, I then look behind me, and there was no one behind me. And then I probably gave a WTF look, and she was like "...oh, nevermind, I thought there were people behind you." Jebus. The lady is rude and has no etiquette. She clearly didn't care, and it shows. I understand you're trying to make money, but the customer service is a huge turn off. Focus on one customer at a time rather than shoo me off while I was trying to get my food. Not sure which flavor is my favorite but all the flavors are good, it's not overly sweet and has a good bite/texture. I couldn't help but feel like maybe the batch I tried was a little bit dry though? Maybe it was a little older of a batch but still good but I wouldn't go out of my way to get these. I've heard that they make them in France and ship them here. Can anyone validate this?? Will definitely need to get them whenever I visit France. They are located at the Americana and they have big free parking structures so I usually park there or at the parking structures at the Galleria across the street. Good service, quick and easy. I think it's just a quick grab and go, not sure if I saw any tables to sit at. My one complaint is that they are pretty expensive, spent over $40 for a dozen and they are not that big. I read some of the reviews and one person talks about Trader Joe macarons lolol. Well I have to agree, TJ macarons, to me, taste just as good for a fraction of the price. It was very difficult to find this place if you don't know it's in the middle of the lawn by the fountain. It's a free-standing booth on its own. The pastries there were good, but a bit sweet for me. It's always great to try, but I heard the other location is better. The macaroon is $3/piece and you can buy them in a set. the cashier wasn't friendly. It's our first there, so everythjng is sort of new to us, but she was upset about us asking questions. Probably will need to try the other location instead. read more

Came to Laduree Glendale this past weekend because I had been craving their macarons for a while! I have not had a chance to get them since they unfortunately closed their Laduree The Grove location! Of course I HAD to have them! Now, I'm not sure what the average price is for macarons but at Laduree it is $2.90 per macaron. A bit pricey for such a tiny dessert but I get that they are essentially a "luxury" brand so you pay the price for their desserts. My favorite flavor is the strawberry marshmallow! Sooo good I ordered 5 of them and my bf got a few himself. I'm not sure if my memory is right but I don't remember the macarons being dry and crumbly, which is what I received on Saturday. The filling was good but honestly I think it's just marshmallow fluff so I'm not really sure if they even make it from scratch. Maybe it's my fault for choosing the flavor I did but I remember it being my favorite back when I purchased macarons from Laduree The Grove. The location at The Americana just didn't live up to what I remember getting. Pros: 1. I'm a fan of Laduree after discovering it in Paris, and glad there is a location much closer to home. Super tasty. Cons: 1. Expensive. About three bucks a piece and if you want a boxed gift set, it costs much more than buying a la carte. It is a nice box, but keepin' it real, you can't eat the box. I will say, this one isn't a huge deal to me because (1) the prices are stated and nobody is making you buy this; (2) you don't have to buy the box if you don't want to. 2. I used to think Laduree was the best, but my new favorite is from Bouchon in Vegas (and theirs are much bigger). 3. What's up with the attitude by the worker? My first ever experience of Laduree was when a friend went to Paris and brought back a couple of macarons especially for me. They tasted delish even when a few days old (due to travel time). The texture of the cookie is spot on crispy crust & chewy soft middle. Passion Fruit - so much passionfruit flavor! Bit tart & sweet! Perfect cookie. Love! Caramel with Salted Butter - this was my fave for the day. Love the Salted caramel cookie & filling. I wanted more!!! The service was a bit slow, the lady that helped wasn't the most cheerful.
