Bake Cheese Tart is such a gem! They have Japanese-imported goodies, from fresh treats to packaged options, and the cheese tarts literally melt in your mouth. They're perfectly balanced- not too sweet, just rich, creamy, and delicious. I love this store so much, and it's the perfect little pit stop during a shopping spree at Century City Mall.

We had the pleasure of getting to try the Press Butter Sand cookies with this vendor at the Sake Fest Phoenix yesterday. It was delicious. The staff were very friendly and the service was fast. My husband and I decided to take home a box of the raspberry chocolate ones since he let us try the original. They were delicious and the perfect treat to take home to the kids.

Honestly, I must say this is one of the best spots I've been to in LA and added to my list! The soft serve is great, it melts fast so you might want it in a cup in the afternoons. Everything is light and not too sweet or heavy and you can easily eat two in one sitting and it isn't overwhelming. The crust is crisp, not super crumbly (reminds me of shortbread) and the consistency is soft and flavorful. It's located in the mall at the top of the stairs and easy to find. It's more of a to-go type of bar rather than a sit-down place and the vibes are so zen. LOVE the pressed sand, creme brûlée and strawberry tarts especially! Makes a great gift box I imagine, if the occasion arises. The service is good and breezy. Def a must try during your next shopping spree or just a quick treat! Great experience.

Tried BAKE Cheese Tart out from the recommendation of a friend and was definitely not disappointed! I tried the: oriiginal, matcha, and creme brulee. The tarts are on the smaller side but are super delicious! My favorite would probably be just the original one. Would definitely be one of my more "treat-myself" snacks though as it is a little more on the expensive side considering the size. The staff are really nice, but the store is pretty small and more of a grab-and-go kind of establishment. There's plenty of seating around Century City Mall if you want to sit down and eat there though.

Grabbed the strawberry brûlée and the match brûlée egg tarts as a quick treat with a friend, who had never tried it before ! We loved it

I came upon this place while heading to buy a gift somewhere else and it looked so good from the outside I had to go inside. The tarts were so pretty and displayed so beautifully. SERVICE I was given such a warm welcome by Anahys who offered suggestions for what I might want to try since I'd never been there. They had some seasonal items which also looked pretty good. I got the Lemon, strawberry brûlée, and raspberry. OMG THEY WERE ALL SOOOOO DELICIOUS The owner Mari was there and was so kind and chatted me up for a bit. AMBIANCE There was seating just outside on the side so you could get your desserts and easily enjoy them right there at little tables. This is such a gem in the midst of the shopping mall. I'll definitely be going back.

These tarts are so good!! You save $1.20 off if you buy 6. We had 3 creme brulee, 2 strawberry, 1 honey lemon, 1 matcha and 1 apple pie. The creme brulee is my favorite! The store was a bit hard to find. It's on the top floor near the Haidilao. Not sure if it has a sign because we walked past it 3 times last night looking for it!

So many options! Cant go wrong with any of em!

I love tarts so much and had to try these cheese tarts. Although they were smaller than I thought they would be, I really was impressed with how rich and flavorful they were. I tried their classic cheese tart and their chocolate one. Both so so good. I wish they had more locations in other areas of LA county. West LA is so far from me but I knew how iconic BAKE cheese tarts are. And yeah the tarts were worth it!

These cheese tarts are expensive but they're sooooo good. Today I tried the original flavor, honey lemon, and strawberry. All three were good, but my favorite was the honey lemon; I liked that the tartness of the lemon added to the flavor profile. The strawberry one had a pretty light strawberry flavor. I recommend to eat them the day of, because fridging them changes the texture, making them firmer. The shop itself is pretty small, no seating available in the shop, but it's part of Westfield Century City so you could easily find seating outside. Service was standard.

Honestly this place is so good! My partner and I absolutely love how good all the cheese tarts are. There are so many flavors and I feel like every time we try a different flavor, we always have a new favorite! One thing I do wish though is that I wish it was more consumer friendly. The tarts are so bomb but it can be so pricy. Still recommend everyone to try at least once! My Subjective Rating: Food: 9/10 Service: 7/10 Ambiance: N/A

    Strawberry Cheese Tart

Always a nice place to stop for a quick treat. I like trying their seasonal flavors, but the strawberry and original are consistently my favorites. For the original, I'd recommend getting at least two and refrigerating one. It's super light and airy when fresh, but becomes much denser after being refrigerated. Both textures are good in different ways, which is why I usually grab a few. I also tried the seasonal apple pie tart. There's no cheesecake in this one, and while it was pretty good, I probably wouldn't order it again.

    PRESS BUTTER SAND MATCHA 5pcs
    Regina C.

Everytime I visit Westfield Century City, I always pass by and look at BAKE Cheese Tart's display. This time, I actually went in and finally purchased a couple goodies! I got the crème brûlée matcha cheese tart and Press Butter sand matcha cookies! The crème brûlée matcha cheese tart was probably one, if not, of the best cheese tarts I've ever had. The matcha cookies were also really good but I would've wanted the matcha taste to have a stronger punch!

    So many flavors
    Jessica M.

Really delicious cheese tarts! Loved all the flavors to choose from. My favorite was matcha and my kids liked the smores mainly for the marshmallows. They also really liked the apple and peach pies. The store is convenient located in the beautiful century city mall. We picked them up and sat in the courtyard to enjoy them. We even took some home and were able to warm them and they tasted just as fresh the next day!

BAKE Cheese Tart Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - BAKE Cheese Tart

How much are the Press Butter Sand cookies boxes?

    I believe $25

    Are there vegan tarts?

Nope, made with dairy and cheese

Where exactly are they located in the Westfield Century City Mall? I keep calling them but nobody answers the phone.?

On the second floor across from Haidilao Hot Pot and CAMP

Do you have gluten-free and keto friendly options?

    Not that I saw

What time do you close on Fridays? We were there at 7:30pm and someone was still in the store but wouldn't open the door. Why? On the website it says you close at 10pm on Fridays.

If the store is closed during business hours it's more than likely it's because their is either only one person working and they needed to go throw out the trash for the night. Or they are on their break.

Do they have soft serve ice cream too?

No, they don't serve any ice cream.

Why don't they have matcha or chocolate anymore?

When I went last night, they had both still. :) I think it just depends on the day.

    What time do they close?

Should be the same as mall hours: M-Th 10am-9pm, Fridays & Saturdays 10am-10pm, Sunday 11am-8pm

I did ask the gal working if they were made that day and she said yes. We ordered a raspberry, an orange, a coffee bean and the popular mango. This was my 2nd time trying these and our hopes were high BUT the raspberry was just awful the filling was strange and it had just raspberry jam inside,I dint eat it. The mango was okay so we shared that. The coffee bean was just awful as well so we didn't finish that either. The orange was the best of the group but overall just a disappointing experience once again because these are not cheap. I'm starting to think I might just have to give up my journey to find these although there are some places in Vegas that look promising. I don't think Reno has any bakeries that make these. They look so beautiful but the taste is a let down.

Where do I even begin with the magic of this place?!…read more This has become one of my absolute favorite spots and every single time I go, I end up finding something new to obsess over. The Paris Roma sandwich is chef's kiss. The bread is the perfect mix of soft on the inside while still being beautifully toasted. The tomatoes and cheese taste incredibly fresh, and whatever magical spread they put on it... I need the recipe because WOW. This is a refreshing sandwich! The Sea-trus salad is another favorite. It somehow manages to be light, refreshing, and still filling. The lox and veggies are unbelievably fresh and everything just works together perfectly. Love the lightness of the dressing. This will not disappoint! If I'm in the mood for something a little heartier, I go for the tomato soup and half truffle grilled cheese. I LOVE this combo. The truffle flavor is spot on and not overpowering at all. Comfort food done right. Now for the best part... dessert (my personal weakness). The canelés are my obsession. I actually buy multiple little bags of the mini ones to have with my morning coffee. They remind me of the perfect cross between crème brûlée and French toast. Crispy outside, soft center, absolute perfection. The St. Honoré is a little pricier, but worth every penny and I usually order more than one. The cream is light with a subtle vanilla flavor and those little pastry puffs on top are pure magic. This is more of an elegant, delicate dessert rather than something rich and intense. And then... yesterday I tried a chocolate dessert for the first time and I wish I remembered the name because I have not stopped thinking about it. It was a chilled circular chocolate mousse covered in chocolate with hazelnut and it was honestly PERFECTION. I don't even know how to describe it properly. Rich, smooth, balanced... I had it with coffee and it was one of those desserts you immediately plan on ordering again before you've even finished it. This is more of a rich dessert! Beyond the food, the owner and staff are incredible. They are warm, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely make this place feel special. You can tell they care deeply about the experience, not just the food, and it shows in everything they do. Upon walking in, there was no friendly "welcome" or general greeting despite the presence of 2 employees at the counter. OK fine, not a big deal... so I went up to the display cases to browse the various pastries they had available and view the drink menu. Finally, I was ready to order so I proceeded to the register area. An Indian lady was standing there too busy looking between the display case of pastries and her inventory log to mind my presence. I stood there for a good minute or 2 before she finally said, "ready to order?" Again, no greeting, just want to take my order and be done with me -- what a warm, touching expression. I put in my order - a croissant, cardamon bun and an iced latte. They handed my pastries quickly without offering to heat up the pastries. Fine, let's try them out "fresh" then, shall we?? ... 1. Croissant (1/5) As plain and dry as croissants can be. I can make croissants better than this. Heck, Costco's croissants will beat theirs by ten-fold. There's no buttery-ness to it. It's just dry and slightly flaky dough. 2. Cardamon Bun (2/5) It had a beautiful design, but the taste and texture were not good. First off, the bread itself was dry and stale. Secondly, they used too much yeast in this pastry as you can taste and smell the sourness of the yeast. There are also parts of the dough where it was sticky/underbaked. The cardamon flavor was subtle. 3. Iced Latte (2/5) The most simple and plain latte one can imagine. The espresso was extremely weak. It almost feels like you're drinking cold milk that's dyed slightly brown. Luckily, it was a hot day, so I still downed this drink. My experience with Chaumont ends here ... nice knowing your existence, but I won't be coming back, nor will I recommend this place to anyone. Don't waste your money here!!
