Crème Brûlée, Rosé Razzleberry & Mango Madness
    Mike D.

The kid wanted to try this place out. He had been seeing posts and ads on his IG timeline. So we jumped in the ride and took the trip into L.A. to see what this place was about. Picked up 2 crème brûlée, rose raspberry and a mango madness. The crème brûlée was creamy, heavy vanilla and a crunchy burnt caramel top. Very delicious. Had a quick taste of CJ's rose raspberry, filled with a rich mild sweet chocolate mousse with raspberry filling. And the mango madness had a vanilla custard cream with bits of mango jelly and pieces inside. Also not too sweet. Place is pricey, but a nice treat to treat a sweet tooth craving. The service was friendly and helpful in explaining each item. This location was very upscale looking and hip. Small inside seating with more chairs outside. A great little location to visit.

I'm sorry it's just a viral trap. Everything tastes, horrible, and expensive. Waste of money and time

Aurora is a kitschy little dessert spot in a LA. They make fun giant desserts in the shape of different fruits. We got the strawberry which is pretty big and cost $25. It has a thin hardshell white chocolate exterior with a shortcake snd strawberry jelly filling. It serves several people but it's hard to cut up and ends up making a mess. It is tasty though so I would recommend this to someone who wants an unconventional dessert for a wow factor.

One of the many spots selling the viral fruit dessert cakes, but unfortunately, the worst of the bunch. My group came on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy. We ordered a mango and pistachio, and both were extremely underwhelming. The white chocolate shell was floppy (no crunch) and the mango filling tasted like canned mangos. The pistachio was had a stale filling with weak flavor. Prior to this spot, my group had tried Artelice Patisserie (10/10, our favorite spot!) and Tu Cha (7/10, not bad but wouldn't go again). We had high expectations for Aurora, but their cakes were 10 times worse at a higher price point. Honestly, my group was shocked at how bad it was. If you are looking to try these viral cakes and want the best experience, go to Artelice Patisserie. Not only is it $3 or $4 cheaper per cake, it is worlds apart!

I tried their raspberry macaroon and the mango dessert while both were vibrant and full of flavor, I found them hard to justify at their current price point. The guy taking our order was polite and had a nice sense of humor. It's a cute spot with good service, but I might think twice about the price before returning just for the treats.

We stopped here on our way back to San Francisco because my daughter and sister-in-law had been begging to try the fruit cake dessert. At first, I said no because of the traffic, but my daughter kept saying, "Please, Mommy, I really want to try it," so we decided to stop. The pastries looked beautiful, and the shop itself was very nice. My daughter was so excited to try the cake. However, after only a few bites, about 10-15 minutes later, she told me she wasn't feeling well and felt like she was going to throw up. The same thing happened to my sister-in-law, who had also eaten the cake. We had to stop at a gas station, and both of them ended up vomiting shortly after eating it. Because of this experience, I cannot recommend this place. I also noticed that the fruit on the dessert looked like it was already melting or becoming soft when it was served to us. This photo was taken almost immediately after we received it and sat down at our table. I'm not sure if that's normal, but it made me wonder whether the display case or refrigeration was cold enough to keep the desserts fresh. This was our experience, and unfortunately, it was not a good one.

Good treats. The sleepy bear is lavender with earl grey notes very good! We tried a few others but they were so good couldnt take a pic! Deff pricey so be warned!

We came here to try out the viral fruit shaped desserts, however they didn't have any when we came we ended up getting a spread of different desserts to try. Honestly, they were okay. Nothing too special for how pricy they were. The inside is extremely small, only 2 small tables. The service however, outstanding. The staff was SO friendly & offered suggestions! Parking can be tricky depending what day/time you come. I don't think we would come back as we didn't enjoy the deserts as much as we hoped to, however the staff there truly were amazing!

Unfortunately, I think this place is overhyped, or at least it's not worth the prices they charge. I spent almost $100 on 5 desserts, and here's the breakdown, including from some of the desserts my friends got: Strawberry - 7/10 - some lemon juice would have brought it up to an 8, as it was very one note Date - 6/10 Orange - 7/10 - it started as an 8, until you get to the very center. The very center tasted like they blended the peel and water together and froze it, because it was pretty bitter. Croissant - 7/10 Mango - 6/10 - you can barely taste the mango Pineapple (not pictured) - 8/10 Service was great, and it has a dark cozy ambience if that's your thing, but overall, it was a nice one and done.

I can't believe how small the portions have gotten before they used to be way bigger
    Maria A.

I have done a review on this place before and it was a good one. The price was spot on with the portions. Know, the prices went UP and the portions went DOWN. Literally my half the size but the prices went up. I went yesterday with my kiddos and I was in shock and disbelief to see how smaller the portions are. They literally are half the size as I used to remember, but the prices were higher. Don't get me wrong. The pastries are delicious, but not at that price definitely not at that price not worth it at least for me.

There kinda cute !! I seen better like the mango wasn't realistic looking

The pastries where not good at all and the bread that the croissant has tasted so old :( , I've tried some in other places but I was disappointed with this one :/

Aurora has the most beautiful desserts in LA. They are also delicious and not too sweet. My favorites are the Mango Madness and Passion Fashion Cake. The staff were super friendly and offer suggestions if you're not sure what to order. Ambiance is cozy and hip. Parking on the street is metered only. Highly recommended!

Street parking only for this shop. I came here on a weekend afternoon and circled a couple times before finding a parking spot around the corner. The shop is small and inside had dark decor. There's a glass case where all the pastries were displayed. They all looked too nice to eat. There was outside seating which is where I ended up enjoying the pastries. I got the tangerine, the lavender bear, and the mango. I thought I was getting cake covered in flavored chocolate. But each item was filled with fruit gelee, ice cream, tart or cake, and whipped cream. Each one had a satisfyingly good coat of chocolate to crack open. The mango was the best. The mango flavor really stood out and the different textures worked well together. The lavender bear was good but the lavender flavor was over powering. Only get it if you can stand floral scents. Service was fast and people were friendly. I would come back to try the many other designs

The Citron was a citrusy yuzu cheesecake with passion fruit lemon juice inside, leaking and bursting with tangy flavor! The cake was fluffy and decadent and melt in your mouth. The Cake was crunchy topped it matcha chocolate shell to smash it open. It was so much fun. The moose was so divine and light and airy it almost felt like a cloud in my mouth. At the bottom of it was crispy and crunchy pistachio kataifi, shredded toasted wheat dough, and so nutty and crispy combining with the cloudy mousse. 10/10!!!

We came right around opening and there were already quite a few people, but thankfully no line. Everything was still available, so we got the strawberry, mango, and lemon desserts, plus a box of ice cream. We tried the lemon one there - and it was really good! The center is super runny, though, so be careful because it can get messy fast The strawberry was definitely my favorite - such an interesting combination with a really bright strawberry flavor. The mango was good too, but I probably should have gone with a different fruit. The ice cream was honestly a 5/10 for me. You can find similar, or even better, ice cream at a dollar store, so I'd skip that The strawberry lemonade, on the other hand, was SO good! Not too sweet, with a nice tart flavor. Definitely recommend it! The café itself was clean, cute, and welcoming, and the staff was friendly. Would I come back? Probably not. I think these desserts are more of a trendy experience that everyone should try at least once. I'm glad we did, and the quality here is definitely great - I just don't think I'm going to become a fan of this type of dessert.

These are gourmet cookies very unique very delicious. Very big and amazing. I tried the café salon, which is espresso with dark chocolate, the midnight sesame, the scarlet velvet, which is red velvet with cream cheese, the Verde Zen, which is Matcha with white chocolate chip the violet Verde, which is Matcha and Ube fusion, and the walnut noir, which is dark chocolate chip with walnuts. They were all decadent delicious and amazing my favorites, however, was surprisingly the sesame seed with dark chocolate is outstanding and the Ube is just phenomenal. Those two really stood out to me and the espresso flavor. Dark chocolate chip the café so Lynn was very unique. I have never trade tried something like that before very very good. Outstanding job to this place. I also tried their Dubai chocolate cake the Enzo very good I really like the chocolate cake at the bottom. Where do I even begin with the magic of this place?!…read more This has become one of my absolute favorite spots and every single time I go, I end up finding something new to obsess over. The Paris Roma sandwich is chef's kiss. The bread is the perfect mix of soft on the inside while still being beautifully toasted. The tomatoes and cheese taste incredibly fresh, and whatever magical spread they put on it... I need the recipe because WOW. This is a refreshing sandwich! The Sea-trus salad is another favorite. It somehow manages to be light, refreshing, and still filling. The lox and veggies are unbelievably fresh and everything just works together perfectly. Love the lightness of the dressing. This will not disappoint! If I'm in the mood for something a little heartier, I go for the tomato soup and half truffle grilled cheese. I LOVE this combo. The truffle flavor is spot on and not overpowering at all. Comfort food done right. Now for the best part... dessert (my personal weakness). The canelés are my obsession. I actually buy multiple little bags of the mini ones to have with my morning coffee. They remind me of the perfect cross between crème brûlée and French toast. Crispy outside, soft center, absolute perfection. The St. Honoré is a little pricier, but worth every penny and I usually order more than one. The cream is light with a subtle vanilla flavor and those little pastry puffs on top are pure magic. This is more of an elegant, delicate dessert rather than something rich and intense. And then... yesterday I tried a chocolate dessert for the first time and I wish I remembered the name because I have not stopped thinking about it. It was a chilled circular chocolate mousse covered in chocolate with hazelnut and it was honestly PERFECTION. I don't even know how to describe it properly. Rich, smooth, balanced... I had it with coffee and it was one of those desserts you immediately plan on ordering again before you've even finished it. This is more of a rich dessert! Beyond the food, the owner and staff are incredible. They are warm, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely make this place feel special. You can tell they care deeply about the experience, not just the food, and it shows in everything they do. Amazing food, amazing people, and somehow every visit makes me love this place even more. :D
