Longstanding classic place to get authentic macarons in the city, their origination is in France and I first tried them there several years ago; glad to report that the quality has remained the same and love that they're still getting business. I think when the weather is warm, they have a patio area to sit at which the pictures seem pretty. Lots of flavors, classic spot, if it ain't broke don't fix it. read more

Love love love Laduree! I recently went to the Madison Ave on the UES and had to get a few macrons, of course! I tried rhe raspberry, orange blossom, and the Marie-Antoinette tea - the latter was my favorite. It was a flavor combo of black tea, citrus, and honey... like a cup of tea in a cookie, but so much better! Each macron's flavor was delicate and unique, and each macron melted in mymouth. The staff kept try long line moving, and the decors always reminds me of Marie Antoinette's bedroom at The Tuileries. My only complaint is the limited seating. read more

The cutest little sweet shop ever. It was packed when we entered, but a table soon freed up and we were able to snag it without issue. We had a seasonal quiche (mushroom and goat cheese), lemonade, pain au chocolat, a rose macaron, and a vanilla macaron. And the macarons are not overrated! I ordered an iced matcha with oat milk and got 2 of the chocolate vegan macarons. The matcha was not my favorite... I'm pretty particular when it comes to the rich flavor and coloring of my matchas and this didn't hit the mark for me. I couldn't taste the matcha at all, so it felt like I was drinking iced oat milk. I will say that it was nice to sit for a bit after doing a lot of walking and shopping in the area. The interior is really cute and there's some indoor and outdoor seating. Staff is also very friendly and were quick to tidy up the space after customers left. read more

Some of the best macarons you'll have! They have a great variety of flavors, but I like to stick to my classic order of the chocolate (my fav), salted caramel, and rose. My family and I frequent this location whenever we visit New York and always have the best experience. Service is always fantastic and it's just a beautiful patisserie that I highly recommend you visit. Even the macrons, pastries, etc. are all displayed in such a pretty manner! Though the seating area is very small, by the time you order and receive your items, there's often an empty table. The only thing to look out for is that the bakery itself is generally small as well, so it can get quite crowded, especially as you wait in line (which there often are). On my next visit I hope to try their new specialty drinks - they look stunning and a couple sitting next to us raved about how much they liked their drinks! read more

Well, getting an early reservation, nay any reservation, at the Frick Café is a tough as, well, seeing the fabulous Frick without the crowds. So, just a mere block away, is Ladurée with a delicious turkey club on croissant and the very nice salmon (which you should allow to warm up a bit). Excellent coffee and of course desserts. Very nice service and have fun practicing your Franglais. Rather limited seating but you'll have a better experience if you can sit down to fully enjoy the not too expensive experience. This was a cute bakery in upper east side with a few tables on the side. Took a while for someone to take our order and I couldn't get their attention when I wanted an additional item unfortunately. Everything looked delicious but we only got a pistachio Eugenie for a sweet. I liked the three different textures in the small biscuit cookie, but I didn't like the vanilla flavor at the bottom as much. The pistachio itself was great though. The quiche was pretty hearty, but it didn't stand out from a typical quiche. I would come back for their famous macarons next time. read more

Laduree does not have as many creative macaron flavors in the winter time, but I still like this location quite a bit. It's open earlier than other locations (at 8AM) so I like to grab a coffee, a pastry, and a macaron or two and relax at a corner table on the velvety bench before starting my day. The Parisian orchestral music is very relaxing -- sometimes maybe even more relaxing than some cafes in Paris and without all the cigarette smoke. Right now, they have a seasonal cherry blossom latte (without espresso though), so you can pick up a warm cup and stroll through the cherry blossoms at Central Park. read more

Gorgeous little French cafe right on UES. The decor the savories and the whole experience is awesome. Seating is limited, but it is nice to relax for coffee or tea and catch up with friends. Their desserts are simply another experience. The chocolates, the Macaroons were rich and flavorful. I wanted to try their tea as well, which is all a blend of different flavors and they carry their own brand. Try this place if you are in that area. read more

It had been many years since we had any macarons from Ladurée and we were lucky enough to visit this location on our last trip to the city. It was a chilly night, so we got two hot drinks and a couple of pastries and they were all delicious; the plaisir sucre in particular was out of this world amazing. They were all out of macarons by the time we were there, but we got a dozen eugénie cookies and brought them home. We had never tried any eugénies before and they are just as tasty as the macarons; they have a variety of textures and flavors and are really flavor-packed and worth the money. Walking into Ladurée Madison feels like stepping into a fancy perfume ad that's also selling macarons. The place is elegant from the floors to the chandeliers, and you immediately get that "this isn't your corner bakery" vibe. I went in knowing I wanted something beautiful, delicious, and maybe a little extra... because when you pay Ladurée prices, you might as well go big. Service was polished and attentive (as expected here). Everyone was in nice outfits, speaking in the sort of whisper-you-feel-better-just-for-being-there tones. The prices? Yeah, you'll notice, but you know going in that Ladurée isn't trying to compete with your local bakery. You're paying for taste, ambiance, and the prestige of writing "Ladurée" on the receipt. If you're in NYC, have a sweet tooth, and want your dessert to come with atmosphere and a story, Ladurée Madison is worth sliding into. Just maybe bring someone to share, because the portions are beautiful but rich and you'll want to taste more than one macaron. read more

Mandatory stop every time I go to a city that has it. Who doesn't love this beautiful french shop? It was a line but moved pretty quickly. They have other things than just macarons like croissants, pound cake and small desserts. I bought macarons and tried some Eugénie (cookie with a creamy filling coated in chocolate). Loved them. If you haven't try them, do it!!! My favorite flavor is Marie Antoniette. I noted the macarons were more blue than before. Maybe that changed over the years but the pale blue was more sophisticated in my opinion. Boxes are so pretty but if you want to save some money, get them in a paper bag instead. read more

Very cute, upscale dessert cafe right next to Central Park. I tried the vanilla eclair and the salted caramel macaron. Definitely high quality desserts, perfect macaron crunch and chewiness. Vanilla eclair was amazing- almost want to say it was better than the macarons. A little sweet though, so definitely would not be able to finish the entire thing on my own. Earlier today after a scented event at an Upper East Side parfumerie, I was hungry for lunch. Ladurée was nearby so I ate there. The Parisian Croissant was packed with sliced ham and salad and looked appetizing and was reasonably priced. A macchiato paired nicely with it. I sat at a small round table and it took me a while to eat. The Eugenie is a new offering from Ladurée which began in Paris last year and is now stateside. It has textures of crispy crunch and a creamy center in flavors of pistachio, rose, chocolate and caramel to name a few. I bought five to enjoy at home. Service was quick with a few people behind the counter and a few tables filled with customers to the side of the cafe. Everyone was sitting leisurely and there was no time limit. Outdoor seating was filled as the day was pleasant and the sun was shining. I did not notice if there was a restroom here. read more

What a lovely store front with a beautiful window display of their beautiful boxes and cakes. I came here for a snack with my female friends. While there is limited sitting inside, we were able to grab a seat outside and try some of these lovely macarons. We ordered an array of macarons: vanilla, orange, strawberry, pistachio , and chocolate. They were all crunchy and chewy as they are supposed to be. Not overly sweet and just gorgeous to look at and even better tasting, my favorite was chocolate. It even had coconut chunks in the filling. read more

I LOVE LAUDREE MACARONS. They are the best on the planet. I love to get them in France, but when I am in a US city that happens to have a Laudree store, I have to go. The woman who helped me was spectacular. I bought several boxes of macarons for myself and gifts. She helped me choose options. She helped me select and then packed the boxes. Ugh! Rude customer service. I bought six macaroons in a box, and the african american, short-haired lady just dropped them in without any parchment paper liner. I politely asked for a liner since I would be walking around, and the parchment paper would help protect the macaroon shells. The lady pretended not to understand what I was asking, even as her colleague (the one with glasses) repeated my request. The short-haired lady simply responded, "NO!" I was the only customer in line, with no one behind me, so being busy was not an excuse for laziness. read more

Well we're movin' on up, to the east side. Yes, find myself somewhere on Madison Ave!! riding high.. with my pinky in the sky and a chip chip cherio cheerio.. only wish I had a top hat!! Ladurée So, on a special request I find myself at this establishment...normally I'm not a macaron type person, but for the enjoyment of others, why not... if it makes you happy ... I'm happy!! Very charming ... I might say... not ample seating thou... but we did find a spot after a gentleman offered, after he was finished... The delectables.. I'll only comment on the one I had, the pistachio macaron crunchy, creamy, and very sweet!! only one that I allowed myself.. being diabetic... yes... try not to do sweets but it was very good!! My husband brings this little box home every once in a while, with sweet macarons, that he takes the time to choose the perfect flavours, just for me, to enjoy. I'll be honest.... I love all the flavours -quite literally he couldn't go wrong with the choice of options if he tried. The orange blossom, Marie Antoinette, chocolate and the rose to name just a couple but the he knows, the rose is my favourite. Are they expensive? yes they are, and that is why they are such a treat when I get them. Very cute and delicate. This location is walkable from everything on 5th Avenue, and is right next door to the famous Ralph's Coffee. I enjoyed exploring this area a lot! The macarons were good. They were a little too chewy for my taste, lacking the freshness you'd desire for a French macaron, but the flavors were very nice. My favorite was the passion fruit, followed by the almond, then pistachio. read more

Stopped by quickly on a Monday afternoon for a sweet treat. There was a little line to order, but there were multiple people working so it moved quickly. The shop is very French patisserie ambiance as expected. It was well decorated. I ordered 4 macarons to try. I got the raspberry, salted caramel, earl grey & pistachio. The raspberry one was my favorite as it was filled with jam that balanced the sweet macaron cookie. I wish there was one closer to home for me to try more items read more

The shop is adorable with not too much seating and the dessert out for show. Service was quite slow even though the shop wasn't busy. It seemed like you were a bother to the employees and they weren't helpful when I asked about what products were left. The ispahan was delicious and quite sweet. However, the rose definitely overpowered the raspberry. The vanilla was okay. I'm not sure if it was old but the cream was quite hard and it was difficult to eat. We ended up throwing out the pastry. I was quite disappointed and looking forward to tasting France. Not sure if it was the location but I will not be returning. read more

I mean ladurée never misses no matter what location you go to all around the world. Their macrons are still just my favorite macrons I've ever had especially their framboise and salted caramel. We try different macrons at other places and they just don't seem to be as favorable to us as these here! Also the staff is always wonderful at this location! read more

Laduree is easily our favorite bakery in NYC, this review is only about delivery and the horrifying way the order was handled by their manager E**c. We ordered somewhere around $120 in pastries for children, a little of this, some of that and some of the other. Ordered through Uber Eats, the order went through, was confirmed and money was taken. Then, later, we get the phone call, "we don't have anything you ordered, except Ispahan (the large macaroon deal)". Would you like flan instead? No... because no one in the history of mankind wanted flan instead of anything. Can we speak to the manager? he is busy. Well, it's a $120 order, can he find 5 minutes? I will see. Manager named E**c takes over. And it begins, completely disinterested and hostile, talking over you and completely not interested in helping the situation: It's not our fault, it's Uber Eats fault. We run out of everything all the time, why would you expect things to be available on Saturday evening? Well... because you advertised them, we placed the order and our money was taken. And if you run out of things "all the time", we would expect you as a manager not to offer what you know you are not going to have for sale. Nothing to do with us. None of my business what is on the Uber site. We can cancel the order for you. Meaning that on Saturday evening when everyone is closing and we already paid $120 and kids took time to choose, we can go and tell the kids to... whatever E**c had in mind. Would you like flan or we can cancel? In short, absolutely hostile and unhelpful. Insane to hear phrases like "everyone knows we run out of everything". And add that they charge MORE than retail for the delivery. Pay more, get nothing. Luckily we encountered the abhorrent, couldn't give a rat's ass E**c, before our partner went to LaDuree and spent thousands for his daughter's wedding pastries. Much as we like LaDuree in person, you would have to be out of your mind to transact any business with them which you can't complete over the counter. For the wedding, they went to someone who doesn't upcharge you AND treat you like garbage. Laduree and E**c ruined our event for a bunch of kids through sheer rudeness and carelessness. read more

This is my first Yelp review, and I wish it was positive. Unfortunately, 1 star is being generous for this place. The waiters did not even serve our group water on a humid, nearly 80°F morning. Then, the waiter just handed us a stack of five plates for our party prior to serving food, and two of the five plates were already dirty with crumbs of unknown origin. When I went to the register and asked for two other plates, the water handed them to me to bring back to my table with an attitude, despite asking for table service at this location and paying the extra $3 per pastry to eat at a table. Currently can't understand the extra $3 since I was practically serving myself, plus the expectation of the very rude waiter for a good tip after poor service and the extra for sitting at a table. We got the afternoon tea and split it, but the tiny finger sandwiches were on generic plain white toast bread that was stale with subpar smoked salmon. We also tried the Fraise Laduree, but it just tasted like super sugary strawberry jam, and no one in the party wanted to finish it. The coconut portion of it was delicious. I just wish I had more than 1/4 of a spoonful of it. Lastly, we also got a iced chocolate for $8, but a Nesquick from 7-11 would have been a better choice. Needless to say, I had a hard time parting with my money to pay this bill, and I would caution everyone else from dining here too. read more

So Parisian chic. These macarons were delightful. The line wasn't too bad, and once I got in, I was greeted by an adorable scene. The walls and furniture were all pastel green. It looked like my ideal fairytale; it was whimsical, playful, and elegant all at the same time. There was something about the decor that told me what I was in store for. I almost (almost) felt like I was in Paris myself. I bought a box of 12. The boxes are really pretty themselves. Some of the ones I bought were: Salted Caramel Chocolate Vanilla Pistachio Rose Petal Lemon Coffee Raspberry Black currant violet For some of them, I bought doubles. My favorites out of all were the salted caramel, the lemon, and the vanilla. My least favorite was probably the rose petal. I heard great things about it, but in the end, I wasn't so pleased with it. Maybe it was too hyped up? Macarons themselves aside, damn! They were expensive. The consolation was that they took a while for me to finish. I ate two, and put the rest in the fridge to enjoy later. For macarons, it's better to enjoy them sooner than later, I believe. My macarons tasted the best straight from the store. A day after, they were still yummy, but a little less than the day before. Laduree macarons are the perfect way into my heart. If a man bought me a box of these (or you know, a trip to France), I'd marry him right away. read more

About ten years ago, I went to Paris with some friends. We heard about a very good tea shop and decided to check it out. It was Laduree...and it was amazing. This was well before the macaron craze so I don't think I even knew what a macaron was...but when I took a bite, I was hooked. In the time since then, I've been to many bakeries. The macaron craze came and went. And still...nothing could compare to the first macaron I tried. On a recent trip to NYC though, I had some time and figured I should swing by Laduree. I had never visited one State-side. But as soon as I took a bite, I knew. This was it. It was just like the one I had years ago. This particular Laduree is pretty tiny. There is like an alcove for people who wish to be seated but honestly, it looks pretty cramped and miserable. Much better choice is to wait in line (doesn't take too long) and go out and enjoy the city with your macarons! :) You're going to have to spend a pretty penny to enjoy these delicacies but trust me, they are worth it. read more

By far the best macaroons available in the USA, that summarizes pretty much the entire store. On top of that they also have the best decor of any pastry shop, well at least for people with refined taste... Laduree has always been one of my favorite to go places in Paris and I was thrilled when I heard they were opening a store in NY. Though worried at first the quality would be different for this part of the world, I was proven wrong and their pastries and macaroons are as good as in France. For the people who complain about the price, they neither have the taste buds nor the understanding of what Laduree is offering. It's like going to a 3 star Michelin restaurant and complaining about price, either you understand refined and complex or you don't... If you don't, do not complain about price! read more

I've tasted better. Yea, it's good macarons but I've tasted better for so much cheaper. My jaw literally dropped when I saw how much I had to pay for two small boxes. I had tried them before when a friend bought them for me, and remember thinking they were good but nowhere near its hype. I decided to give it another try when a few friends from out of town were visiting and wanted to buy some macarons from Laduree. I thought it would be better this time around since I would be eating it "fresh" and I get to chose the flavors; alas, I was bit with bitter disappointment as it tasted even less impressive than the first time. My girlfriend loves macaron and couldn't wait for until this place opened up. Of course when it did, she drag me and our friends there. The line was out the door and down the block and God I hate lines. But I wasn't getting out of this one. So I had to suck it up and wait. I was telling myself that these damn macarons better taste like heaven and give me organism at the same time. It didn't give me one but I did get goosebumps when I had it so I wasn't as pissed since they live up to the hype. All the flavors were very good. All very soft and flavorful. Like everyone else has said, probably the best macarons (only one o, that's crucial) in NYC - if not the world. Somewhat regrettably, this is because they're shipped in from Paris, so they're not really from NYC at all. That aside, you have to try these cookies (yeah yeah, they're just fancy cookies). The pistachio is delicious and you can tell it's made with real pistachios. I'm also a sucker for anything salted caramel flavored, and the Laduree macaron did not disappoint. Get a box and share with a friend - or, if you're like me, plan on sharing and then guiltily eat the whole thing because you want to try all the flavors. read more

I liked that they have outdoor seating, albeit only a few. They do have indoor seating, but when the weather is nice, it is great to hang out outside. It was close to closing time when I came, ergo the lack of abundant French Macaroons on display. They do have other offerings besides the usual expected delicacy - the macaroons, but that location didn't disappoint nonetheless. Quick service, friendly staff, clean place. Was nostalgic of its Paris sister - i suppose that one is the original Laduree, so just a thought in case you would be hankering for this type of sweets. Enjoy! read more

I recently visited Ladurée, and it was an enchanting experience. This French pastry shop offers an exquisite selection of macarons and pastries that are as delightful to the eye as they are to the palate. The macarons, with their delicate shells and rich fillings, are simply the best I've ever had. You don't understand how long I've been waiting for this place to open. when it did, I dragged all my friends with me and waited a good hour and it was all worth it. Loved the shop and it reminded me the days I had in Paris. I must have brought all the flavors that were available, but quite a few were so out, so upset. But I did get the fleur d'orange (orange blossom), cafe (coffee), pistache (pistachio) and caramel a la fleur de sel (caramel with salted butter) which I loved. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! Can't wait to go back and get the ones I missed. read more

My cousin and I stopped by at the shop on our way to go shopping on Madison Ave. to get two macarons for us. Macarons are delicious without being too sweet. And the staff are very nice and friendly. I bought boxes of macarons from Laduree a few times and what surprised me was that the people who work there are just as nice even if you buy a small amount of macarons. Once again, customer service is the key to good business! (of course the macarons are wonderful!) read more
