Was a little hard to find (due to construction barriers) but I'm so glad I didn't give up looking for this bakery! Cardamom bun was phenomenal I even went back again during my trip to get another. Coffee was great - they only had one house made brown sugar syrup which was not too sweet which I enjoyed. Not pictured but also tried the raspberry chia seed dish for a quick snack before the airport which was tasty! Will be back next time I am in New York!

Our usual spot was closed, but we saw Fabrique and decided to give it a try. They have a nice selections of pastries to choose from. The latte was quite godo, but definitely on the pricey side. While their cardamon bun and cinnamon bun were not as good as from the Church of Sweden cafe, they were good and enjoyable. They do offer some seating, but it is limited and was full when we visited on a Sunday afternoon.

Fabrique! This is their second location in NYC, first one being in Chelsea on the south side of 14th Street close to 9th Avenue. Apparently they are also in Stockholm and London! Come here for their famous sourdough and a variety of Nordic pastries like danishes, cinnamon buns and cardamom buns. This location is a little smaller than their other location, with a similar layout of baked goods at the front left of the store as you enter, with seating toward the back. There are about 6-7 smaller bistro tables for two to four. The front of the store is divided into baked breads and buns to the left of the register and prepped sandwiches and a few bottled drinks to the right. Their menu also includes a handful of hot and cold beverages, like coffee, matcha and tea. All their buns looked good though I gravitated towards the cardamom bun since that's a perennial favorite of mine, I have to give 5 stars on the cardamom flavor, probably the most pronounced out of all the buns I've tried, 4 stars for the texture--the added slight crunch from the demerara sugar was nice though the density of the dough was slightly more so than I would've preferred. My personal inclination is towards a slightly loftier bread, but it was still delicious and enjoyable! I didn't have much interaction with the staff, the transaction was smooth and quick since I was grabbing the bun for takeout and was on my way in a matter of a couple minutes.

Nice bakery on 45th & 5th Avenue. I've probably walked past many times and never noticed, but today I stopped by! They carry a variety of bakery items from their famous cardamom buns to brownies, croissants, to breads. There is a small selection of deli meat sandwiches and drinks too. They have a coffee menu as well. Didn't see vegan options and not sure on GF. I tried a caramel bun for $6.50. Decent but maybe could be a little crispier. They have limited seating inside and no restroom. Worth a visit if you are shopping on 5th Avenue and want a quick sweet treat or cof

Outstanding selection! This quaint bakery is located on a stretch of 5th Avenue, a few blocks north of the NY Library/Bryant Park. Eat with your eyes before you order in this cozy shop. I was able to try their infamous and hyped up cardamom bun. Delicious! The hype is real. Not overly dense and the cardamom flavor comes through without being overpowering. It was a quick pop by, and I didn't stay. But got an Americano to go (which was fine). Seats in the back looked like a cute spot for locals and tourists to stay. Obviously, come for the carb offerings. Curious to try their sourdough and other pastries -- so far, I'm sold on this place!

Such a cute bakery! The pastries were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made. There's also a nice seating area in the back which made it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a coffee with my treat. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which added to the overall experience. Whether you're stopping by for a quick bite or planning to sit and stay a while, this place is definitely worth a visit.

Came for a croissant and monkey bread. The croissant was pretty crispy and quite solid as was the monkey bread. Has a nice sit down area in the back

Fabrique Bakery is lovely, but it does matter what you get from here. I ordered the cinnamon bun & the saffron bun. The former was absolutely perfect- exactly what you would want a cinnamon bun to be like for a lack of better terms. The saffron bun, however, wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. It left an odd aftertaste, but maybe it was just me. All in all, I would return, especially for those cinnamon buns! Besides, Sweden is home of the cinnamon buns so I would trust a Swedish bakery to make them well haha.

The cardamom buns are fine, not as good as the ones I remember from Copenhagen, but hit the spot. Took another pastry home, microwaved it for a bit, and was so much more enjoyable. Would be nice if they offered to warm the pastries!

Their croissant are at least a day old. Not fresh. Not crunchy. Disappointing. For a bakery, products should be fresh. If I am gonna pay $6.25 for a croissant it should be baked on the same day. Nobody behind the kitchen.

This was my first stop in NY and I was really excited about trying their cardamom bun because I usually only get la cabras. I have to admit it even though I feel like a traitor but Fabrique is better. The dough is more rich and there's way more cardamom which I love. Coffee was lovely as well but the pastries are the star of the show

This location of Fabrique Bakery is a must-try for cardamom bun lovers and a cozy respite from the bustle of midtown. There was basically no wait on a Saturday around noon, and the cute, Instagram-ready seating area in the background was mostly empty. -Cardamom bun: a sweet, brioche-like, bready roll with a crunchy cardamom spice and sugar glaze on top. My favorite card. bun was and still probably is from La Cabra, which is a little bit lighter on the spice, which I guess all things considered I prefer, but I still loved Fabrique's take. -Cinnamon bun: I was surprised by how similar this tasted to the cardamom bun! Like, really similar, but with little sugar pebbles on top. It wasn't super cinnamon-heavy, as the name kinda suggested! -Chocolate chip cookie: I liked it! This has big dollops of dark chocolate (yes, please) dominating the middle and burnt sugar cookie vibes around the crispy edges. There was also some sprinkles of sea salt here and there, which I like. At first, I felt that the cookie flavor in the non-burnt center was kind of underwhelming, but it grew on me. -Iced latte: No need to skip the coffee here! The latte was rich and delicious and the person behind the counter graciously agreed to add some simple syrup because I didn't like any of the sweetener options at the little customer station.

Fabrique is definitely one of the best bakeries in the city, they have so many options and my favorite is their cardamom bun. I've had a lot of cardamom buns around the city and Fabrique definitely takes the cake. A really strong cardamom flavor and paired with a cup of coffee, it'll be the perfect breakfast. You can also see them baking the pastries and breads here in the back! Lots of seating and it's not too busy since there are several locations.

It felt like items weren't made with care and mass produced at a factory or something. I went 10 minutes before they closed and there was still 10+ of each dessert. I'm not convinced that they will dispose of them. Even if they do, it means they didn't do a good job in forecasting demand especially after being in business for multiple years. I ordered mango and yuzu. Both were too sweet and had one dimensional flavor and textures, not refreshing per their stated flavors. Even if their appearances take effort, they don't look pretty enough for me to forgive what goes in my mouth. I'm used to having patisseries with many layers and elements. Mango's sponge probably only took up 20% of the bottom, because I barely had bites of it. Most of my bites didn't have any. I didn't like how liquid the filling was. It didn't exactly ooze out but just melted into a puddle in my mouth. Yuzu looks pretty with the pink and yellow glaze, but it didn't go with the realistic fruit theme. I chose it for the flavor combination which is strawberry, yuzu, and guava. This was slightly better in terms of flavor variety in the mouth. The flower on top had a weird off putting flavor. The bottom crispy rice apparently is supposed to be chocolate but it came out plain. It was tasteless anyway, so not effective in terms of flavor or texture.

I had to run to work after an appointment so I ordered for takeout. The person taking my order was friendly. I opted for the Lumberjack and a black cold brew. I received the drink very quickly, with a short wait for the sandwich. While waiting, one member of the staff stocking up supplies on the side started chatting with me and then she offered to check up on my sandwich. She came out with it shortly thereafter. She was very friendly and helpful. The sandwich held up well during my 15-minute commute to the office. It is a really indulgent sandwich, with each bite revealing the sweetness and butteriness of the maple crueller, the saltiness of the thick cut bacon, and the savoriness of the cheese and the eggs as the yolks popped. I sipped the cold brew in between bites to cut the richness. It was a very satisfying meal. The Lumberjack is not something I would recommend you eat every day, but it's good as an occasional treat. In the past I've ordered lunch from Daily Provisions via delivery (the "Chefy" salad and the chicken milanese with arugula salad are my favorites), but I might start adding other breakfast sandwiches to the mix.

I will say that's it's definitely not a good on-the-go sandwich, as it falls apart easily. However, I don't think this is a great spot for coffee. I was a bit underwhelmed by my latte, which tasted more like thin drip coffee than a rich, strong espresso. I also think they could offer more sweetener options.
