These macaroons are delicious and super soft although on the sweeter side. I got them as a gift from a friend.

Place is for sure average! Don't get me wrong. I love cutesy, overhyped places, but please sell me the fantasy on arrival! I found the servers very pretentious and rude. Despite this, we had tea and a few pastries.

While shopping in Georgetown, I found a beautiful, quant place for coffee, hot chocolate and delicious almond croissants! Laduree, the interior ambiance is much like a European, French place with the crown moldings, mirrors and crystal everywhere. The service is prompt and very polite. Space is somewhat cramped if looking for a table; be patient seats open up quickly and the staff is helpful in finding you a table. A bit on the pricy side, but well worth the experience!

From the first look even outside the window, this place makes me feel so fancy and like i was in France. The aesthetic of the place so different from many other place I usually go to. The service was exceptional. The staff that was checking us out and greeted us always smile and so helpful with her recommendations. We got the cutest box of macarons , cost about $28 without tax but it's so pretty I could use it to put gifts in later! We also got the cutest chocolate bar and the cutest chocolate piece. The chocolate "button" one was so delicious, the right amount of sweets and fragrance. I got different flavors of macarons and oh my goodness, they all tasted so soft still the next day and it's like they melt in my mouth. It is not too sweet and just made with perfection. Love the presentation, love the look, love the bag and box that came with the purchase. Overall, it was a bit expensive but it was worth it. I would definitely come back here for a girl date!

Harsh critiques. SMH. Their selection of pastries and sweets goes well beyond the infamous macaroons. If you don't automatically feel like a Parisian Princess, then, please get over yourself! Lol! This place is a great stop to pick up gifts and to take a break from shopping!

This is an iconic macaron shop in Georgetown. It gives off Parisian vibes. We got the Isaphan and Marie-Antoinette which was sweet and just melts in your mouth when you bite into it. The Iced lavender latte was very water down and you can't taste the lavender flavoring at all. It feels like it was filled with my ice than coffee.

Laduree is well-known for their macarons, but did you know some of their locations offer afternoon tea like the one in Georgetown? Favorites during my afternoon tea jncluded: Club Laduree sandwich (creamy chicken salad sandwich) Plaisir Sucré (not too sweet pastry that's crunchy and filled with hazelnuts, praline, and milk chocolate) Pistachio and coffee macarons Thé Roi Soleil (green tea with hints of rhubarb and caramel) Pro tip: If you're really looking to indulge, add a mocktail to your afternoon tea order ($$)

What a cute spot! My gals and I decided to have a tea party and found this gem of a spot. Towards the back of the store, there are a few tables which allow for a very fun cozy gathering filled with yummy delights. You have options of savory to sweet. I got the salmon Benedict and others in my group go the breakfast option and another got the avocado toast. Everything was delightful. Now... let me get to the sweets. Never have I ever had such delicious macaroons. Was never a huge macaroon fan but Laduree totally made me a true believer.

I liked this place for its pretty decorations and display. 1. Tea/coffee: 4 stars It is $6.50 to go and $7.70-$9 if you sit down. That's expensive yet it doesn't taste any special. 2. Cakes: 4 stars The looks are good and they have the afternoon tea, which is very popular. Macarons are delicious and good looking. 3. Service: 1 star Super slow, mean, impolite.

I wanted to really like Laduree, but I thought the experience was okay. Laduree has a great location in Georgetown right off M Street. There is a parking garage on Thomas Jefferson St that was only $16 (on the weekend), and it was only a few minute walk away. This location is small (like all places in Georgetown), the front half of the store has a bakery counter and the back has a few tables. It looked like they had a few outdoor seats as well, but it was too cold when we visited. They location is small, so if you want to sit down for a meal, I would highly recommend making a reservation. I did the Laduree tea time for $60. I did a pot of tea with my tea time, and they had a good selection. The food came on a tiered tower. The finger sandwiches were good, especially the salmon one, but small. The rest of the tray was just sweets. The macarons were good and you get to pick the flavors. I also picked a chocolate croissant, which I wish had been a little warm. The two sweets of the day just ended up being two bite sized cookies. You also get a half dozen macrons to go. I ended up eating my friends French fries from her sandwich meal, because I needed something savory. If I went again, I would just get a normal meal, the tea time was not worth the price at all. The service was okay. They seemed to have a lot of people working, but it took a while to get the check at the end.

We enjoyed the macaroons at this establishment. We had actually purchased ones in France at Versailles previously from the same company, these were much better. The shop is located on M street which is the busiest part of Georgetown. It's very nice inside and there were seats available so we sat and enjoyed our macaroons.

Food - know for their macarons in Paris. Surprising that they have in DC. Love their macarons. Reminds me of my time in France with family. Tried their vanilla flan, good but was somehow thinking crème brûlée. Was decent sweetness level but just dry. Service - good service and very friendly French gentleman and ladies. Ambiance - totally feel like a Mary Antoinette style or some French style place. Beautiful and French music playing in the background. Totally throwback to our adventures in France. Verdict - yaaas!! Try at least their macarons!!!

Adorable French shop with macaroons, pastries, and food. Indoor seating for lunch or tea. We had lemonade which was freshly squeezed and tasted so satisfying on a warmer day. The price is different if you take out vs dine in so make sure to check the menu for prices. Everyone was friendly and I would recommend this spot when in the area.

Warm wood, soft lighting, an atmosphere that feels intimate without being cramped, the kind of place that makes you want to slow down and stay a while. The team went above and beyond when they learned I don't drink: they gifted us a non-alcoholic wine, a complimentary appetizer, and dessert. That kind of hospitality isn't scripted... it's felt. Now, the food. The housemade sourdough with eucalyptus honey butter is dangerous, I could have stopped there and been happy. The roasted carrot salad with hazelnut dukkah and garlic toum was one of those dishes that makes you rethink a vegetable entirely. The garlic knots had no business being that good... crispy, layered, almost croissant-like, deeply garlicky in the best way. For pasta we had the pappardelle with spicy roasted pork ragù and fennel breadcrumbs, and the canastra cheese ravioli with wild garlic pesto and brazil nut pangrattato, that stunning deep green dish topped with chive blossoms looked like art and tasted even better. Both pastas were perfect. Then the Brazilian budino with coconut caramel and toasted coconut came out with a little candle tucked in. I nearly cried. This is a restaurant that treats every table like it matters. We will absolutely be back.

I was very excited about the French-Canadian, always-changing menu. Physical Exam: Taste - The Prime Rib Sando was a preemo sandwich of balanced cheese and meat between two slices of toasty sourdough. The Cheeseburger Americain was a standard 3.5 out of 5 American cheeseburger that beats the average suburban chain restaurant burger with its double patty and sesame bun, but isn't gonna knock your socks off like a steakhouse burger. The poutine kept my socks on too (I was particularly excited about the poutine and ended up a tad underwhelmed). The biggest disappointment was the mozzarella sticks, which...... I'll just get to in the service part. Cocktails were mid. All interesting concepts, but most missed the mark. the Polar Express was a little too sweet, I forgot what the name of the riff on an old fashioned or Manhattan I had but that was okay, and the Fleur de Citron tasted like when you ask for a Sprite and they ask, "Is Sierra Mist (now Starry) okay?" and you reply, "yeah that's fine," but then what you get is actually a flat 7-Up. Ambiance - This place runs on vibes like America runs on Dunkin'. Live DJ, neon lights, feels like a place you wanna eat a little, dance a little, drink a little. Fun place. Tanked by the service. Skip to the Assessment/Plan if you don't want to read this novella retelling of our evening. Service - Relatively early for the dinner service, we were the largest and one of only a few tables in the restaurant. I counted 3 other tables seated (small parties of less than 4 each) and a few patrons at the bar. It took about 20 minutes before we first got our menus and the guy who handed them to us didn't say a word just dropped them off. Then it took another 20 minutes before he came back to get our drink orders, and 1) seemed like he was having a bad day, which... fine, but 2) was rolling his eyes when some of us were a little between some options and wanted a recommendation, which... alright my guy let's chill. We weren't talking loud, we weren't drinking before and being obnoxious, we just wanted to ask about what some of the drinks were like on a very cool menu of cocktails we haven't tried anywhere else. Upon returning with our drinks, he accidentally spilled a not insignificant amount on my friend sitting across from me, and while we reacted and started handing him extra napkins, he just glanced at him, finished giving out the drinks, and walked away. No "oops", "my bad", "oh let me get you some paper towels", nothing. So at this point, we're all staring at each other like "Did we do something? Do we smell?" Whatever, friend's birthday, we've been talking about this cabin weekend for several years and it's finally happening, let's just vibe. Now another 20 minutes went by and we were getting antsy because we wanted to order our food but it looked like there wasn't a lot of staff, and we didn't want to upset anyone by hurrying them. Another man came over who we thought was going to take our orders. Nope. He starts picking up our menus so I say, "Oh, hey we haven't ordered yet." To which he replies, "OK, but I need the menus." Alright cool, yeah, that makes sense if he needed them for other tables and can leave us with a few to share. Nope. He just took them and placed them back at the host stand. Awkward stares across the table again. Whatever, we had enough, I guess. Tick tock, tick tock. A third guy came over, and when he smiled and asked, "Hi are you all ready to order?" I was like "Oh finally a human being!" Food took another 20-ish minutes while we nursed our drinks and really had no interest in ordering another round (not that anyone asked us). We ate. We chatted. We had an okay time. We were super ready to get out of there. Oh right, the mozz sticks. Le Mont'zarella sticks. They had one order left of four sticks for $18. We were one of the first diners. You can imagine after all the above, that's just a major facepalm emoji. Assessment/Plan: Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God pray for Le Mont Royal to improve their service, now and at the hour of ASAP, because the place has so much potential, and maybe it was just an off night, or the staff just finished arguing with each other in the back so they took it out on us, but dearly beloved Lord it was like we offended nine generations of their ancestry from the moment we walked in. With "a 22% service charge has been added for your convenience," I thought we were getting Punk'd. The always-changing French-Canadian menu is a cool and unique concept, but it's a lot of bark with very little bite. It didn't make the disappointing service worth it.
