They have cabins/tv/tent spots to rent on Airbnb and reserveamerica.com. We have rented their cabins 4 years in a row now. They are gorgeous. They also have a small country store with supplies if you forget something if you rent the cabins and shirts and souvenirs to buy as well. The park itself is down the winding road to the bottom of the mountain there is not designated parking just a gravel road. They have trails to walk and a park and also newly built gazebos to rent or reserve for parties and celebrations. They do have restrooms there as well. You can swim in the river but the current can be strong and there are no lifeguards. If you want a extremely peaceful place to visit take a chance and go here.

Parking is non issue. Theres a cute park along the way, artwork... even zip lining. I loved watching the kayaks in the water. Now that we've seen some of what Alan was singing about while on the "Chattahoochee River Walk" in Columbus, Georgia, it makes me wonder if the lyrics to his song could actually be semi-autobiographical. ‍ This trail runs parallel to the river and offers a consistent connection to it during your adventure. Walkers, runners, cyclists, and leashed dogs are all welcome here and from a safety standpoint I'd assign it a perfect score during daylight hours. Those with mobility challenges should not be dissuaded from enjoying it because it is well maintained, mostly flat, and easily accommodates wheelchairs, baby strollers, etc. While I typically elect to run most of the trails that we review, I quite enjoyed causally meandering along this one. The soil is so rich that chemical fertilizer was not used. Perhaps some of the best topsoil in Georgia because of decades of the Chattahoochee River overflowing into this location and other natural lowlands. It's still pretty much as natural as it was 50 years ago. I highly recommend this private, not crowded area for a good place to actually walk up and touch the river water.

We then proceeded to the end of the road and parked at the lot next to the river. We did the hike along the river. The trail map says it is over 5 miles, but we just wanted to do around 3 total. We passed a couple of markers for 0.5 and 1 miles and hoped to find the 1.5 mile marker as our turn-around spot, but we never saw it. I suspect we were approaching 2 miles when we turned around. The trail was pretty, especially with the fall leaves. We only encountered maybe 4 other hiking groups during our walk. If you are in the area, this is a pleasant area for hiking.

You cannot miss it. However, you may miss the road or entrance to view. It's going downwards to get to one side, but the other side is another road that you will easily miss! I had to ask someone. Not busy at all, just us and then one other dog walker just before we left. They have portable bathrooms. Can't go inside the mill building or anything, at least on a normal day, but still neat to look at and get some outdoor time. Peaceful and worth the pitstop.
