The boat is very old. Chipped paint on the walls and windows. The drop down ceiling tiles were stained and some were missing. The bathroom was so small I could not even sit down on the toilet if I wanted to. The buffet variety was disappointing and the food very bland. How can prime rib have no flavor? My cocktails only tasted of drink mix. And the iced tea was a sea of bacteria waiting to poison someone. You can't leave the steeped tea bags in the un-refridgerated tea all day then pull them out at night and put the leftover contaminated tea in the fridge for the next day. The server was nice. And the view of the city at night was the only good thing about this cruise. I just thought it would be more CLASSY! read more

We were on the Lady Caroline for a Fund Raiser 10/12/2023 and the boat had an issue with the generator so we were out for about 20 minutes when the lights flashed and we had to turn around. The rest of the night we were docked where we boarded. I'm seeing other reviews seems like this boat often has mechanical problems. The food was buffet style where the staff served us and they were so stingy it wasn't even funny. The meatballs were as big as marbles and everyone got 4. One small chicken tender, one spring roll, some mushrooms, and some bread. This stuff looked like they bought it at costco and micro-waved it. Some of the staff were visibly annoyed by us being there or them having to work or something but they did not give a very welcoming vibe. I would not go back unless it was a free trip. Water? Cruise? Food? Dance floor? Nice view of downtown Cleveland? Yeah we got all that! Nautica Queen is one of the few options as far as food on the water goes. It makes for a nice company event, random thing to do, gift, or wedding reception, regarding you can handle the boat being on water and don't get motion sickness. We gave Nautica Queen a try for my Fiancée's birthday. She said she wanted to do something she hasn't before and the hamster hopped in the wheel and a lightbulb lit up and this is what was thought of. So it was a slight road trip nothing major though during early November. It was a bit cold outside for this trip but it was well worth it. This was our first time boating since we were teens. So booking was a piece of cake. Pick a date click, how many tickets, pay and bam, wait till day of event. So we showed up with our printed receipt at the ticket counter and exchanged that for our boarding passes at which they do not tear or alter in any way for memory reasons. After boarding we waited a bit to cast off. It was cold outside but the boat has climate control and the heat was running to keep it warm. After casting off near the Clevaland Aquarium we went to Lake Erie for most of the cruise which was very enjoyable. We did get lucky enough to get a table to ourselves which made our evening a bit more romantic and personal. The cruise time is three hours which is mostly on the lake and then takes you about 30 minutes down river to give you a city feel. The food is good. Better than what we expected to be honest. There is an onsite DJ that will play music by request. The food is an all you can eat buffet after everyone has been up once. The view is great and recommend to anyone who wants to experience a dinner cruise. It is well worth it! As first time guests we can safely safe we will be back and would like to experience the New Years and 4th of July package. Looking for that special gift that can make an awesome memory give this a try with a night at a hotel as well if you're from out of town. read more

I booked this cruise 2 months ago and my party drove 2.5 HOURS each way to take this dinner cruise as a birthday celebration. When we first boarded the ship, I noticed the cabin was warm but I thought it was because we were sitting on the dock. Our assigned table was not near a window so at a certain point I asked the waitress to open the windows closest to us. By the time the boat took off it was uncomfortably warm in the cabin. I had to go upstairs and sit outside for fresh air. Our waitress was either new or just not very good as a waitress. She was slow and didn't seem to understand that being observant was part of her job. We had constantly ask for water, for beverage refills, for the plate to be cleared. As one point, another waitress began taking care of us. Getting her to bring us dessert, with eating utensils, was like pulling teeth. The meal was a buffet so there really wasn't any excuse for the sub-par service we received. The buffet meal was okay. The grouper was delicious and the prime rib offered a range of temperatures for different tastes. The pork was very bland and needed some type of seasoning on it. We all wanted frozen beverages but we told the blender was broken. Cmon..how much trouble is it to purchase 2 new blenders for your business? By the time dessert came, it was so hot in the cabin half of my party had gone upstairs to the cool air. This ship needs a larger, more efficient A/C system installed. The "party" music sounded as if it were being played a bluetooth speaker. The GoodTime III passed us twice and each time we could hear their music more clearly than the music being played on our own ship. All in all, the Nautica Queen could use an interior overhaul, a new A/C and a more efficient and proactive wait staff. If you go, I would suggest the sight seeing cruise instead of paying for the dinner cruise. read more

This was better than expected. Food was good. Buffet style But it was Mac and cheese, green beans and carrots, new potatoes and choices of ham, chicken or fish. The only thing I didn't like was the dinner roll. Really did not care for it. Just a big thick lump of dough then baked. Kinda like one of those unleavened little crackers at communion but HUGE. Staff very good and as nice as could be. Bryan our waiter was very nice. Lake Erie is beautiful. They have a DJ/Tour guide that describes everything you may see on each side of the boat. It was interesting but better you could hear and understand him. The boat appears to be on an ocean , but no waves! Lake Erie is 57 miles across at its widest point and it feeds Niagara Falls. A very lovely way to spend your lunch time. The trolly stop is right at the Aquarium next door so our plan is to just jump on that at the end of this. read more

The Nautica Queen is a great way to see Cleveland from a totally different view - especially as The Flats continue to expand and improve. We went on the brunch cruise, and although you can't really mess up brunch, the food wasn't all that great. There was a pretty decent drink menu, and the service was excellent. There was also an amazing top deck with tables where you could sit after your meal; however, there wasn't enough room to accommodate all the passengers so many were left standing. When all is said and done, it's definitely worth trying at least once - especially if you haven't seen Cleveland from the water. read more

Went on the brunch cruise. The views were great -- very sunny weather so we were able to see Cleveland in all its glory. The food was just "okay". Buffet style, so the expectations weren't too high. Good enough to not complain, not good enough to write home about. The service was very good. I love this boat ride I've gone 3 years straight now and each time it's wonderful you get wonderful food the DJ is very informative and he plays such great music. You get a lot of information about Lake Erie that you might not have known it's just a well-rounded wonderful boat ride very peaceful relaxing and not too long. I was afraid that I was going to get motion sickness but the ride was so smooth. The food was amazing the only issue that I have is the location of the bathrooms it's harder for older people to get to them because they're at the top or at the bottom and the stairs aren't ideal. You're able to go outside on the first deck as well as the upper deck and see all of the beautiful surrounding areas I highly recommend if you haven't gone on this boat right definitely go on it read more

Took a cruise during their brunch on a gorgeous summer day. I'd probably rate this 3.5 stars as the food is not going to satisfy a true foodie. The cruise itself is fantastic. Has the boat seen better days? Yes, you can see the wear and tear a tad, but it didn't detract from the experience for me. It was clean, service was great, and the food was filling. As for the food, the brunch was mostly vegetarian (yay!). Fresh fruit, house salad, pasta salad, muffins, breakfast potatoes, scrambled eggs, waffles, and blintzes. The pasta salad had a little too much dressing for my taste and the scrambled eggs were too scrambled and flavorless. However, the blintzes were delightful - soft thin crepe with a scrumptious ricotta cheese filling drizzled with a strawberry sauce. There were two types of meat too (ham and ?). Someone else described it as Denny's - I wouldn't go that far. It's not going to compete with your Ohio City/Tremont brunch spots, but it was filling, had healthy options, and seemed all freshly made (aka, lettuce wasn't going bad, fruit was in season, etc). As for the cruise, you go where the captain takes you. We first went out on Lake Erie where we could see other people sailing, seagulls flying around, and enjoy the lakefront. We then cruised along the river. My favorite parts were seeing the bridges go up and down and waving to all of the other people on their own boats. If you don't have access to a boat of your own or a friend's, the Nautica is a great way to appreciate our lake and river. So was the food stellar? No. Was it still enjoyable? Yes. Was the cruise worth it? Absolutely. It was a great brunch date and I'd recommend it to any one looking for something different to do on a beautiful afternoon. read more

I attended the Brews Cruise on the Nautica and I was greatly surprised how good the deal was for it! Seven beer tickets, food buffet included, dancing, etc. the upper deck that is exposed to the outdoors is absolutely gorgeous and the night was perfect to sit out and enjoy the views along the river and lake! Beers were cold and there was a great selection to choose from. The food was pretty average, pasta was a little dry and bland, but it did the trick to have something to eat while drinking all those beers. Overall, it was a good experience. read more

We went on the Father's Day brunch cruise. Your picture is taken as you enter the boat, the pics are sold after the cruise as a 20 buck package. Upon entering the boat you are escorted to your assigned table. Our server was very pleasant, explained the dining process and took our drink orders. Certain beverages were included such as coffee and tea, alcohol and pop were for purchase. I had a peach Bellini that was very tasty and my son had a smoothie that he enjoyed. Once the boated departed the Buffet was opened, each table was dismissed in order. The server followed to the buffet to carry the salad plate back to the table...nice touch. We decided to be Cleveland tourist for a day and board the Nautica Queen. I always see it going by my apartment and have been wanting to check it out. I love that it floats around Cleveland and just being on the water gazing at my beautiful city is just what I was looking for. I didn't go for the food and I wouldn't do this often. The food was OK. It was buffet-- I didn't have high expectations, but there was nothing wrong with it. They served a cheesecake as dessert, which was good. I do have one complaint. They call it "cruise style seating" and if you are a couple, they pair you with another couple to eat, which is awkward. They had two tops available but still stuck us with a 4 top and another couple. I had 2 mimosas, which made the experience more enjoyable. The observation deck is where everyone goes after eating and on a nice sunny day, it's a great activity to sit back, relax and enjoy the view. I will totally do it again. They do give some interesting facts about Cleveland that I otherwise would not have known. read more

This isn't a five star restaurant. Yes, substantial food is served, but I do this more for the experience than for the food quality. Food: My pieces of chicken were not edible, though the flavor on them was good. There was mostly breakfast food. Aside from the chicken there was a carving station and a pasta for lunch options. Service: Our waiter was amazing. The waiter you have at your table is your waiter for the entire cruse so he or she must find you and serve you no matter where on the boat you are. To start off the waiter calls you to go to the buffet when it is your table's turn. My friend and I were off taking photos upstairs while we waited for our table to be called and our waiter came and got us upstairs to tell us to go to the buffet. The he waited at the end of the salad portion of the buffet to take our salad plates back to the table for us so we could get our entrees. After the meal he was super attentive even though he had to keep track of us in various parts of the boat. He kept finding us and offering us drink refills and he was super friendly the entire time even though he was literally running all over the place on a very hot day. Experience: Overall the experience was great. The food for me doesn't have to play a big part of that. I loved the view. It was a relaxing and enjoyable warm Sunday afternoon and a great thing to do with a group of friends. Occasionally the Captain would announce what we were passing in manner of a tour/description which was a nice addition. The cruise route will change based on the weather, but we got to go under a bridge and out pass Burke Lakefront Airport which made for great views. read more

Other than the cruise itself the food was awful and the boat is old and I was glad we sat alone I didn't care for the flying bugs in our window seats I know I personally killed 2-3 and that was gross until I looked behind us and notice our neighbors window seal had a huge spiderweb of these flying bugs In His window thankful we didn't have to look at those during the meal that was not worth the cost. I purchased two tickets for the dinner cruise on August 16, 2019. We boarded the boat at 6:30 for a 7:30 cruise. We were having drinks at our table when someone at our table said the boat would not be leaving the dock because of generator issues. No one associated with the boat said anything about any issues with the boat, or that we were not leaving the dock. One of the reasons I chose this boat was to spend the evening on a cruise with an out of town visitor. We sat at the table with no air conditioning for two hours, before being allowed to get our food. I don't know what time they usually serve the food if the boat is moving, but 8:30 is a late time to serve dinner. I would have appreciated a phone call or email from the company, notifying us of a change in our plans. It almost seems like they were trying to "pull a fast one". Not very good customer service. We had to drive almost an hour to get there, and, we had to pay for parking. While they gave us coupons for another cruise, when one of us lives out of town, the coupons may not good used. For $95.00, we sure did not get our money's worth. Shame on the company who own this boat for not being up front, and giving us advance warning. Next time I will use the other cruise line when I have out of town visitors. read more

We were seated toward the back, and when we got to the buffet, all of the entrees and vegetables were cold-not lukewarm, COLD. They do not have a steam table and I have no idea how long the hot dishes had been waiting to be served, but clearly long enough to cool off completely. The fish had good flavor, but I don't know how anyone can cook chicken breast and make it cold, tough, and dry. Also, don't plan on seconds. We were seated with another group. Two of them went back to the buffet for more salad about 15 minutes after we had gotten our food. Me and the wifey went on the nautica queen on saturday, june 5th. We did not like it. The food was worst than buffet food or the corner chinese restaurant. Not to mention, we paid almost $50 per person, including another $10 to park. The view itself from the boat was nice, but the boat, food and music was not good at all. We enjoy dinner cruises on the Nautica Queen. Most of the time you have to share your table with other people. Sometimes that is a good thing and sometimes not. The dining room is air-conditioned. Oh no no no, avoid at all cost. Why? Because it'll cost you a horrendous amount for such a poor show. This falls under the category of a carnival, as it sounds like a great idea, but then you walk away pissed off and confused because you don't know where your money went. The tickets are way overpriced, both in general and specifically for a dinner cruise. You start out your evening with customer unfriendly staff at the box office, of which you have to provide information on a yellow pad of paper, very professional sounding I know. Then it's off to being forced to take a picture like cattle. The entire operation is conducted by high school staff, of which you can assume is very professional and service-oriented; not. I'll start wrapping this up since it could get away fast, just like your money on this cruise. If buffet food had a leftovers sections, it'd be on this cruise. If you wanted that shitty pic, it'll cost you $20+. If you ever wanted to stand up on the cruise and were over 6' tall, forget about it. If you wanted to enjoy what it's like to sweat on the window side of your dining experience while freezing on the other, come aboard!
