I loved, loved, loved this tattoo shop! I don't write many reviews, but Amy was so splendid that I absolutely had to. Whenever I travel to a new place, I try to get a new tattoo and she did not disappoint whatsoever. She did a beautiful job on my triquetra that I had wanted for so long. Definitely try this place if you are looking for a tattoo in Portland

Back for more! Ever since my last tattoo I've been thinking about my next tattoo. Today was the day, and on impulse I decided to pop back in and see if Collin was there because I loved his art and style on my last tattoo. As Lady Luck favors the bold, fate proved favorable today. I had a very loose idea of what I wanted and described it to Collin. He was able to transform that into sheer badass beauty to match my other and I couldn't be happier. Absolutely outstanding work.

This place is awesome! I got my first tattoo here with a same day appointment with Gina. She not only stayed late to help me and my friend who both came in, she did an incredible job. She was super nice and easy to talk to. She made it so easy, and she went with the flow of and was willing to make sure this tattoo would be something I loved. I couldnt have asked for a better first tattoo experience.

Aaron did a girl right! Very fun, and comfortable experience. 10/10 reccomend. Reasonably priced for the quality and time put in. I will be back to see Aaron again! Everyone else seems amazing too.

Updating with a picture of my horrible tattoo. Don't ever go there for a simple tattoo because apparently it is very hard to do a straight line..

I wish I could give zero stars. I got a tattoo on my wrist back around Valentine's day. I asked Jeneane for a small circular tattoo. She went way to deep which caused excessive bleeding and gouging. It took two months to heal. I attempted to call during the healing process to tell them I was worried about it being infected and that I had seriously uncomfortable scabbing and puss. The man that took my call at the desk (a slow speaker who sounds stoned) passed me to the male artist (large dude). This man got on the phone and proceeded to blame me, tell me that I needed to just "wait for it to heal", ignored my concerns and when I pressed, stating "I trying to make choices for my body because I'm concerned about the state of this tattoo and that requires I ask questions about policies, aftercare and next steps". He then accused me of "yelling" and refused to continue to speak with me. I tried to call again and ask for the manager. This time, the front desk person also accused me of yelling at the other artist. To which I inquired how he would know my tone since he wasn't listening to the call. He then stated "I have no reason to doubt him". I told him the "bro code crap didn't change the truth about the state of my wrist". He then told me to take it up with Jeneane and hung up on me. I later went back to have it looked at and fixed. Both these men were there while she tended to my tattoo stating "if all my work looked like this, I'd be out of business" and "I think I need to go much more shallow this time" and "maybe it was a red reaction and if it was, it will react again". She also gaslit me by attempting to make it my fault by using any aftercare. And at the end of the second session, could offer zero aftercare but instead criticized other after care technique by other shops. So, I left unsure of what I should do to assist it's healing. I had no red reaction the second time, pointing to the fact that this was just bad work in the first place. I didn't feel comfortable to tell her about the men and the phone fiasco because they were both there while I was getting it fixed. So I let her fix it and got out of there. I'll never go near that shop again. The men were abusive,. dismissive and unprofessional to say the least.

Thanks Collin! (I was cold. Ha)

Collin was awesome! And so was Jeanine (I think that was her name). My friend and I popped in super late Saturday night for a spur-of-the-moment tattoo and they stayed open for us, charged very fair prices, and were a lot of fun. The best part of all was that they LISTENED to what we actually wanted. We went somewhere else first and he ignored us when we explained that we wanted something small. Anyway, I highly recommend this spot. Xx Nikki

From start to finish, my experience at Lady Luck has been phenomenal. I came here for my first ever tattoo and had absolutely no clue what to expect. Luckily, Isaac (my tattoo artist) and the staff here walked me through the process step by step and made sure I had a good understanding of what to expect. I had an idea for a tattoo and pitched it to Isaac. He was excited about and assured me he would come up with a badass design. Looking at his previous work, I had complete faith in him and new he would come up with something awesome. Come the day of the tattoo Isaac again was really great at walking me through the process. I felt completely relaxed the whole time and the tattoo turned out great! It's still healing at the moment but I'm loving it so far and already thinking about the next one to get with Isaac!

From the clean lobby to the amazing customer service, this establishment was awesome. I didn't know what to expect when choosing my first tattoo shop, and happened to see this one while walking around. It was a little scary for me because I was visiting Oregon and if anything went wrong it was another trip to go back. THANKFULLY my friend and I met the amazing artists, that answered all our questions and concerns. After finally telling my artist, Douglas, what I really wanted he drew up a sketch and it was exactly what I had wanted. While the actual tattoo process was happening, he talked with me and was very personable! Definitely recommend!

I got my tattoo done by Laura. She was fantastic. Not only a good artist but generally a very nice person. She was so patient with me since this was my first BIG tattoo. The receptionist even went to the corner store to get trail mix for me! Overall just a great experience and I will be back for more.

I now have four tattoos. All of them have been done by Jeanine at Lady Luck, This lady is a professional to the nth degree. Her work is high quality, vibrant and creative. The new shop is awesome and has a cool tat vibe throughout - the pink, black and mirrors are great! I recently had two tattoos done (on earth day). I had an earth with a peace sign incorporated into it and a large piece with flowers and an Aquarius symbol. It was a long session but I am ecstatic with the results. I would recommend Jeanine and Lady Luck Tattoo without a moment's hesitation. The Entry staff are helpful and knowledgeable, the artists are amazing and the work steals the show. What more could you ask for??

My friend and I were wanting matching plastic vampire teeth tattoos since it'd be Halloween weekend and he was so kind when I told him what we wanted and mentioned he hadn't finished his flash sheet so he'd add in the teeth, (spoiler, they were PERFECT). The day we were planning on coming in was their planned flash day so we knew we had to anticipate a potential wait. The rainy Portland weather was in our favor because, even though we were unable to make our way in at 10:30AM as he recommended, we ventured in at 3PM and still got a spot in line. Jared was great, adding the text I wanted to my flash, and even touching up a small hand/wrist tattoo that was poorly done by someone else in a different state prior. Truly, so thankful he answered the phone that day bc I got a great vibe from him. He was also able to successfully turn my "splotch" knuckle tattoo (my loving nickname for it) to a beautiful black skull that ACTUALLY STAYED PUT (it was the 4th attempt over an old scar I had and he was the only one to successfully have a tattoo stick on it without it looking weird once healed). Since Jared was short on time before an appt, Ali did my friends matching fangs and they both turned out amazingly. Overall, I now fully intend to make the journey from Sacramento to Portland anytime I want something done so I can specifically have him do it or his shop-mate that does phenomenal portrait style flash/tattoos (she was diagonal from us when we were there - blonde long hair and beanie). The shop was super clean, artists were all super friendly, front desk apprentice was easy on the eyes, what's not love? 100/10 could not recommend this place enough!

Sarah listens closely to what you want and then finds a cute, stylish way to make it work. They go out of their way to offer water, space heaters, heating pads, masks, or whatever else might make you feel most comfortable. The artists seem to support and treat each other kindly. I made the terrible decision to be tattooed by Toby. I went in to start on a full sleeve, although it wasn't technically a full sleeve but a 3/4 sleeve. I have a tattoo on my upper arm that takes up half of my upper arm. During my 1st appointment we discussed that we are going to keep and incorporate that one. At my 1st appointment Toby told me that it would take 3 sessions since it wouldn't be an actual full sleeve. I paid for a full day session. He told me at my 1st appt that the stop time will be once I tap out. Our first session he ended early and said that his kids were sick. He specifically told me that our next session won't be the same. He also said our next session wouldn't take as long to get started. I went back in for my 2nd session yesterday at 10am. He showed up late like he did for our 1st appt. It wasn't until about 11am that he started drawing on me. It took him about 4 hours to draw on me. Keep in mind we haven't even started on my upper arm. He was drawing on my lower arm. Finally by 3pm we get started tattooing. The table wasn't working properly so he had to reset up a new one. Then some random person walks in looking for a tattoo. He stopped tattooing me to go chat with the person. Then throughout my entire session he purposely inflicts maximum pain. He seems to think that I don't have any large or decent pieces. I have my entire back done. I also have portraits and pieces on my legs. I have good quality work in those areas. I only mentioned to him that I wanted my back covered up, but because I don't like it anymore and don't have those beliefs anymore. It's not due to the quality. The tattoos that he was starting to cover on my arm are much older tattoos that I got when I was younger. Based off of that I suppose he thinks I don't know any better. My ex is also a tattoo artist so I understand needle groupings, heavy hands vs light hands, dry wipe vs wet wipe etc. Throughout my entire session he never finished a single area. He jumps from area to area throughout the entire process. He would randomly jump from my wrist, elbow, side of arm, just all over the place. He opens up the area and works on it for a while, then moves to another area for like 20min or so, then moves back to the area he opened up. He inflicts serious pain. I hinted to him several times that each time you do that it hurts much worse. He never listened and continued to do it. I told him from the start that I wanted to work in a particular area first. He didn't listen. He is super heavy handed intentionally. He dry wipes with a paper towel the whole time. He inflicts maximum pain to attempt to get you to tap early. At the very start of our 2nd session after the marker was drawn on, I flat out asked him will you be able to finish this today to which he yes. By about 10pm he said we should call it a night. I literally only had maybe 1/2 of a half sleeve. There was so much work to complete still. I told him no I want to keep going. He didn't want to but I was persistent. So we get back to tattooing. I asked him flat out why did you tell me that we would have this finished today if that isn't the case. He said well there are a lot of factors like the way a client takes pain. I told him he put me in a ton of pain but I never once stopped him so what do you mean. I told him I feel lied to, taken advantage of, and just how unhappy I was by this and that I won't be continuing with him. I was planning on getting 2 full sleeves, full chest piece, and a cover up on my entire back. I told him you literally told me that for a full day session that it means we stop once I tap out. He got extremely combative. He said that in the fine print says he only tattoos 7 hrs max. I said why did you lie to me then? He ended up calling me an asshole and threatened to stop my work mid session to leave it. He said it's his right to do so. I said that I'd leave a review about this and he said that's "thats fine, I don't give a f". I'm not sure if he ended up texting his family or people or what. But suddenly around midnight all his people showed up at the tattoo studio I guess to try to intimidate me. I paid $ 3,225 in total and I don't have a completed half sleeve. I don't even have a single section of my arm that is complete due to him jumping around constantly. Literally not even one single area of this "half sleeve" is completed. During our argument he scoffed at me and was the mentality of how dare you .. but he admitted flat out a full sleeve is 5 grand. I said okay and I've paid over 3 grand now and I don't even have a completed half sleeve. He refuses to take accountability. He is a very selfish mentality, a liar, and he will gaslight you the entire time. He pretends to be a nice person but he is absolutely not. He takes advantage of people and rips them off.
