Was nervous about getting a second piercing, and even more nervous when I saw the store front. But the service here is friendly, and you can tell the employees really take health and hygiene seriously. The person who pierced my ear was so experienced, I felt like I was in great hands. They did a great job, and I would recommend. Some things to know: * Call a week ahead to make an appt. No walk ins. * Be prepared to saline wash your ears 2-3x a day for 2 weeks. My boyfriend and I visited STTP in March so we could get his nose pierced for his birthday. I decided to get my nipples pierced again since I had let them heal and wanted to join the piercing fun. David was awesome, and I'll explain more in a bit, but this shop takes many precautions against covid including: 1) My boyfriend and I were the only clients in the entire shop at our appointment time 2) Everyone wore a mask 3) Hands were washed and gloves were changed MANY times 4) The room was disinfected before we entered My boyfriends piercing was smooth and quick- David even gave him some comfort given it was his first piercing. I passed out when the needle was sent through my scar tissue (can't avoid it sometimes!) After I came to, I was offered a CapriSun and asked whether I wanted to continue and finish the other side as well. Though there was another appointment lined up after ours, I was given time to recover and didn't feel rushed at all. It was so nice to not be rushed but also feel cared for, even after something so embarrassing! All piercings have healed very nicely with no problems or persisting pain. My partner and I were very impressed with the quality of the jewelry and overall vibe of the shop. They switched nose jewelry for me and pierced my partners ears. He had previously pierced ears that keloided, but they took the time and care to make sure his piercing would be successful. One of his ears swelled more, and we went back and they quickly replaced it with a longer bar and told us to come back when the swelling goes down. I'm very happy with the results. --- Original post: Here's a disclaimer before you read this review: I haven't actually had anything pierced or tatted by those working at Straight To the Point. With that being said, I did go in today asking for a professional opinion about how my double forward helix was healing. I spoke to two gentlemen at the front (whose names are currently escaping me, but I believe it was Oliver and David) who were extremely patient and reassuring. They both told me that my top piercing appeared to be "a bit angry", but it wasn't anything to worry about. After answer my many questions (e.g. "Should I use antibacterial soap to clean them" [Answer: No], "When I can go swimming?" [Answer: Clean chlorine pool should be fine, but steer clear of lakes for the first year], "Will this small bump on the inside go down if I am careful not to bump it?" [Answer: yes], etc.), they directed me to RiteAid and told me to purchase a saline wound wash. My ear was pierced by those at Robot Piercing + Tattoo, and while I'm happy with it, after speaking to these guys, I do wish that I went with them. =] read more
