    Blueberry glazed donut
    Kate N.

Stopped here after a hike for coffee. Didn't end up getting g coffee - it didnt look like their specialty. Did however, but 5 donuts; Bismarck crème filled, blueberry glazed, old fashioned, raspberry lemon turnover, maple glazed pinwheel. We were blown away by the quality, taste, how moist they were, the Bismarck and turnover were not too sweet-just perfect! Would definitely recommend stopping for donuts!!

The blueberry fritter is perfectly crunchy. The donuts are soft and the toppings are generous. Great prices.

Came in on a Tuesday around 11:30 AM for lunch. We were really hoping that we beat the crowds…read morebecause we usually don't go here anymore only because we don't like to wait and wait to be seated and then wait some more. What can I say? We were really hungry and really wanted their food and they have a nice variety on their menu. So we waited. It didn't even seem like there were that many people waiting or on the waiting list. Nonetheless, we waited probably 20 minutes in the entry. They called our name and seated us. They have a lot of tables set up throughout their space. I see there is seating upstairs but not sure when/if they seat up there. Their restrooms are now gender neutral and one toilet. That's nice! There was a changing table in the one I visited. The server came around within about five minutes and when we ordered our food, It took about another 20 to 25 minutes. I had time to shop the whole adjacent store, make a purchase and still waited awhile for our food. This is always a period of time that feels like it takes forever because by now you're starving and have looked at all of their sweets in the display case while in the waiting area and smelled all the cinnamon scented candles and the food being prepared in the kitchen. My Linda's brother-in-law scramble was delicious. I opted for the bacon sprinkled. It didn't seem like 4 dollars worth of bacon and there's plenty of flavor in that scramble otherwise. $23.54 with the bacon sprinkles. My hubby had the country biscuits and gravy, and he said it was good. $17.79. My husband did mention that he was disappointed that the country biscuit and gravy didn't automatically come with their breakfast potatoes. You have to choose- eggs OR potatoes. He ordered a side of breakfast potatoes, and it was a small bowl. $6.50. We shared the French toast and took most of that to go as well as some of the hash. $14.99. It was plain. We both had water to drink and had to ask for a refill. That all came up to $68.47 plus tip. The receipt says, "If you pay cash, your total may be rounded per this location's payment policy." I didn't see what that policy says.

Calico Cupboard is one of those places that you NEED to go to when you're in town…read more When you get there, you just sign in yourself at the stand which is a good system so no one has to check you in when they're already pretty busy. While you're waiting you can go to the shop down the stairs or go to the dessert area right next to the waiting area to get some great desserts. Last time i was there I saw frosted cream cheese sugar cookies, and pies, and more. When you get seated there are so many great food options, lots of options, same with drinks. They are only open until 3:30 pm so be sure to manage time well. And don't expect an empty place, it's usually populated. Tight space, so scoot in those chairs as far as you can. Staff were laid back, and nice. When they're busy make sure to be patient with the staff, they're dealing with tons of other orders as well.

I was in the mood for a good burger and we had heard great things about Temperate Habits, so we…read moretried them on a Thursday evening during the prime dinner hour. Our server was Rainey, she was awesome, very attentive, and came to our table right away to take our order. The atmosphere at Temperate Habits is very nice, there is outside seating but we sat inside due to the bright evening sun. Our meals took quite a while to arrive, I think we were at the tail end of the dinner rush and my guess is they have a small kitchen. My classic cheeseburger was about the most generic, predictable, and utterly boring burger I could imagine, and for $17 I would certainly not return for that or the mundane shoestring fries. The burger patty, bun, and fries were all non creative and the there was nothing even the slightest bit unique about my burger, in fact I swear it is the exact same burger that the Skagit River Brewery serves just around the corner. The surprise entree was the Crab and Lobster Tots, now whoever thought that would be good? The plate looked very strange to say the least but I have to say.... this dish was really good! So you'd think if they could create that total mayhem of a dish that they could get far more creative with the burgers and least have a house burger sauce or a higher quality bun for $17, something? I might return to Temperate Habits to have a drink with friends and share some tots, because they give you a large enough portion for four people, but I would certainly look elsewhere for a good burger. 5 stars for atmosphere and service, 1 star for the burger, 4 stars for the tots.

The patio faces one of the main streets so there was lots of good people watching. I ordered a beer flight and was very satisfied with all four of my selections: Prickly Pear Kolsch - it was creamy and easy to drink, bursting with prickly pear flavor; just the right amount of tart and sweet. Lightly Buzzed Honey Lavender Blonde - my favorite of the flight; it was very hoppy but light and refreshing and well balanced by intense lavender flavor and a smooth honey finish. Get it! You won't regret it. High Five Hefe - lighter/less hazy and more hoppy than most hefes it made for a unique and complimentary beer on my flight. Pommeroys Citra Pale Ale - a perfect West Coast IPA. To eat, my pup got the Lucky Dog hamburger (which the chef pre-cut) and loved it! He chowed down in less than a minute. And I got the Mac & Cheese Burger (sub a veggie patty) with the Garlic Fries. It was a very indulgent meal to say the least. The burger was loaded with so much Mac & Cheese that I couldn't even put the top bun on it and pick it up. lol I had to knife and fork the whole thing which was totally worth it. The Mac is a classic home style recipe (think Stouffers but better). Their fries are shoestring and super crispy and salty. And they loaded those up with an amazing garlic aioli and Parmesan. I got a side of their house-made curry aioli and was obsessed with it. Every fry that didn't have sauce or parm got a dip in that deliciousness and I added it to quite a few of the burger bites too. All in all, a great brewpub that I look forward to returning to in the future!

I have been using this pharmacy for about 7 years and service was superb under Brandon. In the past year lines have gotten much longer and it seems the staff turnover at this location is a big problem. My experience over the last 2 days not only made me decide to take my business elsewhere but I was invited to go use a different pharmacy twice by a rude young man that had nothing to do with my transaction. On 5/12 my young daughter had an operation and her doctor called in 2 different pain medications before 4pm and expedited them as she would need them for after surgery. I went to the pharmacy at 6pm and the pharmacy tech could see them expedited in the computer but they had not started filling them yet. I asked how long it would take and she said 30-40 minutes. Not wanting to leave my daughter again without the guarantee that her meds were ready I asked for a text when they were finished which is a regular service they provide and the tech said she already told me 30-40 minutes. I explained why I was hoping for a text and after rolling her eyes at me she called the pharmacist over to help her with my request. The pharmacist was very friendly and set the service up for me. I returned home to care for my daughter and checked my phone frequently expecting the text that her meds were ready. At 7:59 I still had nothing so I called the pharmacy and learned they closed at 8pm. As any reasonable person could imagine my daughter had a pretty rough night not having her meds to manage her pain after surgery. I finally got the text that her meds were ready at 9:24 the next morning and immediately drove to the pharmacy. Upon arrival I waited in line for 6 people in front of me and when it was my turn I learned they did not have my daughter's insurance information so I handed them her insurance card. Ana was not able to pull her insurance up and asked me many questions about who the subscriber was, what my daughter's relationship to the subscriber was, who the other people on the card were and explained that every person on the card holds a numerical position. Ultimately she could not figure out how to input the information from the card and asked for the assistance from the same pharmacist that helped with the text message issue the night before. She seemed a little surprised to see me and I explained to her that I just received the text that the medication was ready at 9:24am and that she had gone all night after surgery with no pain meds. She told me that the medication was ready the night before and they even stayed late. I told her I had no way of knowing that. I told her I called at 7:59 and nobody answered the phone and I showed her the text from 9:24am and she said that they have no control over the text notifications. The pharmacist was unable to help and walked away. I asked if I could please just pay cash for the medication and asked Ana if she saw the baby asprin I had put on the counter and she very rudely said she had not and that she was busy. At this point I was so frustrated I looked over to my mom and quietly said I cannot believe how incompetent this pharmacy has become as I had been standing in this pharmacy for over 30 minutes trying to get a medication for my child that supposedly was ready the night before. Ana very loudly said ma'am you don't need to say that. I told her I just want to get the medication and go home and told her I don't know what the problem was and she yelled that it was my fault because I didn't bring her the correct information. I replied that I brought her the insurance card and now I have asked to pay cash. This is when the young man yelled at me that I started this and I need to take my business to a different pharmacy. The pharmacist came back up at this point and said this is not my fault. I told her Ana just said that it was to which Ana denied and my mom chimed in that she definitely did say that. At this point the young man yelled at me again that I need to go to a different pharmacy. I told them to please just give me the medication that I had already paid for at this point and I will not return. The pharmacist apologized again, reminded me that they did stay late the night before and walked away. Ana explained she had to log in my information as I was the one picking up a narcotic then I could have the medication and leave. I told her I understood as I stood there incredibly embarrassed and frustrated and honestly in shock at how these professionals handled what should have been a simple filling of a medication. As I was invited to not return, this will be my last visit to this location. I hope management can go back and pull the camera footage from 5/12 and 5/13 and use my experience as a learning opportunity. This used to be a well ran pharmacy with knowledgable, reliable and friendly staff. Sad.
