Lunch & Specials of the Day Menu

Very unethical practices and they charged our party of six 50% more than what the menu prices were. Just to put into perspective how much 50% means, three members of our party were children and their meals came out to about $24 each. Yes, very disappointing! Keep reading... Some of the food was OK. Others (like canned vegetable side) should have stayed in the kitchen. Tostones and maduros were burned. $13 dollar chicharron de pollo appetizer was boneless, not battered, and they were micro size. Taste was good but price should probably be about half based on tapas size portion. NY strip was drenched in mojo seasoning. Rice was cold. The main reason for my one star review is that we went on a Sunday at 1 PM and they gave everyone of us the lunch menu (see attached picture). Apparently that menu is from noon to 3 PM with no specific day restrictions. It was 1 PM so it made sense that they gave us this menu. We ordered, we ate, and when I got the check, the total was about $50 higher than it should have been. The waitress confessed to me that she had logged our meals as lunch into their system and that THE OWNER told her to change all of our meals to dinner price and if we said anything to tell us that lunch pricing only applies Monday through Thursday. I did not get confrontational about it although I did make a comment to the waitress to please let the owner know how unethical this was. Looking back, I probably should have asked to speak directly with him but today is Sunday and I was not in the mood to get into a debate. The owner knows very clearly what he did. I calmly paid the bill and asked the waitress to bring me back a menu so I can take a picture. I myself own a business in the hospitality space and I know how important it is to do right by the customer and know right from wrong Anyone can learn to do better. Hopefully reviews like this will teach this owner to think of the customer experience before pulling more stunts like this on other hard-working families.

My boyfriend always discovers the best places on Yelp and by best I don't necessarily mean popular and well known. This place seems relatively new but all Yelp reviews were positive so we thought we would give it a try. Heading into the restaurant we were confused because we thought we had the wrong address because it's actually inside a neighborhood/golf center. However we followed the GPS and it was easy to find and their was ample space to park. The restaurant is very clean and well kept. We arrived for lunch on a Friday afternoon so it was rather empty but that's not necessarily a bad thing when you're starving. We decided to sit outside since its lakeside and it was a nice breezy, sunny afternoon. Our server was attentive from the moment we sat and brought out waters right away. We also each got a free wine for checking into Yelp (additional perks of using Yelp!). My boyfriend ordered a burger and I chose to go with the churrasco with rice and beans. Our food was brought out within 10-15 minutes. I would have taken more photos of our evening but the food was delicious so I was fully focused on enjoying it (I also tried my boyfriends burger and it was one of the most distinct burgers I've ever tried...it had sweet plantains, cheese, lettuce, tomato and he added guacamole). The menu has a variety of food so it is fit to go in large groups. It also caught my attention that a man (possibly the owner) approached us to inquire about how we found the restaurant and if everything had been going well. We will definitely be coming back as I saw additional things I would like to try from their menu. I would highly recommend this place for large groups or for a romantic lunch/dinner with your significant other.

Been here through ups and downs. It's back on its way up! Better prices, mgmt, service. Churassco- delicious. HH 4-8. $3 beers.

At a golf course.... seating outside.

This place has a bunch of recent 5 star reviews but I did not experience that. It is decent place that is at a golf course. You have to enter the complex by a specific entrance off of Doral / 41st Street. The service was good. We sat outside which was a nice change. Inside looked clean and was well decorated. Appetizers were good. They deep fry their empanadas. The best part was the meat plates ...which were very good. The beef was tasty. The chicken on bone was really great. The sausages were also delicious. One comment though is that everything is very salty. The bread was salty ...but was tasty once you got used to it. The salad was salty also, and unfortunately was basically inedible. Surprisingly they did not have any ice tea.... the lemonade which was my 2nd choice was good. If you go here you should probably speak Spanish. It will definitely help with the ordering and communications.

Only place in Doral with a nice deck on the water.

After an extended remodeling of a small Churassco that used to be in our community, the restaurant for the Costa del Sol Golf Club has now opened as Charlie's Bistro. The outdoor patio has been greatly expanded to take advantage of the nice "lakeside" view. Really nice for Doral. The menu is limited right now after its soft opening, but will be expanded soon. Nice beers on tap and the dinner plates are looking really good. The sliders and fries were excellent. I look forward to this place filling up for friendly Happy Hours!

Wonderful new gem in Doral. Great bar with a wonderful view of the lake. This place was recently remodeled and it looks fantastic. It used to be Karnitas. Delicious food and awesome drinks. They have a full menu, and a bar menu. Their truffled popcorn is the bomb.Totally needed this in Doral.

Friday night karaoke from 8:00 til closing. Open to the public.

I especially like Friday nights because it's karaoke night. Charlie's is the nicest karaoke venue in the area. I have met so many nice people singing there. Some great memories and wish more people would take advantage of this beautiful setting.

Spanish Burger with a special order of guac (comes with fries) and a free glass of Pinot Grigio for checking in on Yelp. Awesome!

The bar itself didn't have seating, but the staff was really accommodating and rearranged some chairs and brought us a table so we could sit comfortably. The DJ was lit and set a great vibe. Drinks were good, we ordered spicy margaritas and they were strong and flavorful, though a bit pricey at around $25 each. Overall, it's a cute little spot to grab drinks, chat, and enjoy a fun speakeasy atmosphere. Definitely worth checking out.

A place that's family-friendly, date-night-friendly, and perfect for a group of friends to hang out and have a good time. Doral Yard is exactly that. It's a hodgepodge of several restaurant booths along with a central bar and plenty of seating options. Everyone can order from a different vendor, which I absolutely love. If you're in the mood for sushi, your kid is craving Spanish food, your significant other wants a burger and fries, and your parents are in the mood for pizza -- there are so many options for every palate. When I went, I ordered from Poke Kai. I had the Tuna Poke Burger -- crispy rice "buns," raw tuna, eel sauce, scallions, cilantro sauce, spicy mayo, Kai salad, avocado, and sesame seeds. So good! My son ordered two sushi rolls: Mauloa Roll - salmon, cucumber, scallion, crab, fried shallots, and unagi mayo. Moana Tuna Roll - tuna, cream cheese, scallion, crab, tempura flakes, togarashi mayo, and lemon zest. My partner ordered from another vendor called YIP. He had miso soup and Peking duck bao. Of course, I also had to try the drinks from the bar (The Bar at The Yard). I ordered: NOT A PEAR IN THE WORLD ($16) - Patrón Reposado tequila, lime juice, Chile Ancho Reyes, prickly pear syrup, and Firewater Tincture bitters. WATERMELON SUGAR ($14) - Hendrick's gin, lime juice, mint, fresh watermelon juice, and simple syrup. Both drinks were super refreshing -- and one definitely had a spicy kick! If you haven't been to Doral Yard yet, please check it out. You will not be disappointed.

My own birthday was celebrated there on karaoke night, and it was one of the most amazing and unforgettable nights. We also celebrated my niece's graduation on karaoke night, and it was another incredible evening filled with friends, family, laughter, and great memories. Seeing an employee post something so negative about an event that so many of us genuinely enjoy is disappointing. From the outside looking in, it seems like there's been a big shift in whoever is running these events. I recently attended both karaoke night and ladies' night, and the atmosphere was completely different from what many of us have come to love. FYI, karaoke night *brings people together*. I can't think of a single time we've gone and not had a great night. That's why this post doesn't reflect what 9 Feet Under has always represented to so many of us. If you work there and karaoke night is that terrible *for you*, maybe it's worth asking yourself why that is. Or perhaps this isn't the right environment for you. But please don't portray an event that has created so many positive memories for so many people as something negative, because that's simply not the experience the rest of us have had. Now you've lost customers!!
