I came here for Lunch on a Wednesday. They provide an executive lunch special from 12-2PM which I took advantage of. To start it, we ordered a lobster mac and cheese which was delicious. I also got the calamari. Both plates were great. Make sure to order the marinera sauce for your calamari. I really wouldn't pass up on the lobster Mac & Cheese. Julio was our waiter and his service was outstanding. He was knowledgeable about the menu and kind. For the entrees we got the white fillet and the 6 oz picanha as well as the fiocchi with beef. To Whom It May Concern at 107 Steak & Bar, I am writing this letter because I am beyond frustrated with the experience I had at your establishment during your so-called "happy hour," and frankly, I don't think "happy" is the right word for anything about what happened to me. I came in expecting a relaxing evening and a fair bill, and instead I left feeling like I had been nickel-and-dimed and taken advantage of, and I am not the type of person who just lets this kind of thing slide. First, let's talk about the tax situation, because this is where things really started to go wrong. When I got my bill, I noticed that I was charged two separate taxes on my order. Two. Not one, TWO. I don't know if this was a glitch in your point-of-sale system, an error by the server, or some intentional double-dipping happening behind the scenes, but either way, it is not okay. I did the math myself, more than once, because I genuinely could not believe what I was looking at. I am not a tax attorney, but even I know that being charged tax twice on the same items is not normal, not standard, and not something I should have to catch myself. Shouldn't your staff and your systems be checking for this kind of thing BEFORE handing a customer their check? I felt like I had to do your accounting for you at the table, which is not what I came out to do on a Friday evening during happy hour. Second, and honestly this might frustrate me even more than the tax issue, I was charged an automatic gratuity fee despite being ONE customer. Just me. A party of one. I understand that some restaurants apply automatic gratuity to large parties because splitting a big check and handling a bigger table is more work for the server, and I get that, that makes sense. But I was sitting alone at the bar during happy hour. There was no large party. There was no complicated split. There was just me, ordering my food and drinks like a normal customer, and somehow I still got hit with an automatic gratuity charge as if I had rolled in with a party of twelve. That is not fair, and I don't think it should be the customer's job to cover an automatic fee that was clearly meant for larger groups. If your policy is going to apply gratuity fees regardless of party size, that needs to be disclosed clearly, upfront, before I order, not buried in a bill I only see after the fact. Honestly, between the double taxation and the unwarranted gratuity fee, I feel like I was charged for things I should not have been charged for, and I think 107 Steak & Bar needs to take responsibility for this. I believe the store, not the customer, should absorb the cost of an automatic gratuity fee when it is mistakenly applied to a single customer's bill. That is a business error, not a customer error, and it should not come out of my pocket. I am asking for the following: 1. A full refund or credit for the duplicate tax charge on my bill. 2. A refund or removal of the automatic gratuity fee, since I was dining alone and did not agree to or warrant that charge. 3. Some explanation as to how this happened, so I have some confidence this won't happen to me or another customer again. I really wanted to enjoy my time at your restaurant, and I know mistakes happen, but this is exactly the kind of thing that makes a customer think twice about coming back. For a hotel bar and grill connected to the Aloft Miami Doral, this spot is a step above what you'd typically expect. The ambiance is great--it opens up nicely into the pool area, creating a relaxed but upscale vibe. They have sports on the TVs, and the bartender was a solid professional who knew his craft. I went with the 10oz Picana. It's definitely a fattier cut of meat by nature, but it was prepared perfectly: tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The Mushroom Risotto was also very nicely done, providing a rich, creamy side to the steak. I also tried the Bacon Brussels Sprouts. They were good, but in a world where the "Brussels sprouts competition" has gotten incredibly stiff lately, these fell below some of the top-tier versions I've had elsewhere. I work across the street and I come here at least once a month for lunch. This is a nice restaurant between the Element and Aloft hotels. Lunchtime is usually quiet but the service can be a little slow. I get the same thing from the lunch menu - Pichana with potatoes and broccolini. Ok - the sole demerit was for a waitress who provided perfunctory service- not always proactive at water refills - and not very happy to be at work from what I could tell- but that's it! Now hubby and I had arrived at the attached Aloft hotel feeling pretty hungry- we'd left icy cold Chicago earlier today and we're looking forward to lovely Caribbean-influenced weather! So we walked on over, were seated pretty quickly- and good lord - we decided on no mains but did order sliders - a charcuterie board- and lobster Mac n Cheese - but I know we tasted lobster there, but damned if we didn't see any! We went to the restaurant for dinner on a Saturday night. They were not busy when we arrived and the hostess sat us quickly. They gave everyone water to start which was great but some people ordered soda, which took long to be brought out (and we had to repeatedly ask the waiter for refills). I had a French onion soup as an appetizer and it was good. The main course on the other hand came out in a disorganized fashion, with 2 entrees being delivered with no sides and then 10 minutes later the other entrees arrived with the sides. I had the picanha, which came in three pieces. It was not cooked to the temperature I ordered and one of the three pieces was so tough I couldn't eat it. We went to this spot for a birthday party, where our friend was performing with a mini band setup. While waiting for the performance, we ordered some food and here's our take on it. The short rib croquetas were a standout, plenty of meat inside and really satisfying. The salmon tacos, on the other hand, were disappointing. The quality of the salmon wasn't great, and I had to take some pieces out due to the texture and taste. The best part of the tacos was actually the shell. We also tried the lobster mac and cheese, and our server, who was excellent and very attentive all night, asked if we wanted to add shrimp. We said yes, and they added eight pretty good-sized shrimp. However, there wasn't much lobster in the mac, which makes me think they push the shrimp add-on for that reason. The filet mignon was just okay, cooked properly but not as tender as expected. Definitely not the best, but not the worst either. For dessert, the Nutella crème brûlée stole the show, absolutely delicious. The cookie skillet was decent, but the ice cream tasted like it had been in the freezer too long. Overall, I'd rate this place 3/5. It was decent, but a bit pricey for what it was. Service can use some help - waiter seemed overwhelmed - even though it was not that busy. Also - kids menu was provided; which has a section for kids to draw and do puzzles however no crayons were provided; when asked the waiter - he returned with a yellow highlighter. Also - kids menu was listed for $13 on paper however when the bill came it was showing $14... didn't make a big deal; because it's not directly the waiter's fault... however did pointed it out to the waiter who claimed that the print-out for the kids menu were outdated. We visited in March 2023. This restaurant is 107 Steak and Bar and our receipt says Element Miami Doral. It was conveniently located in the parking lot of our Aloft hotel in Doral. So, we just walked over. There were a few tables occupied upon our arrival. This was a highlight, since we were starving when we arrived. Fatima was a wonderful knowledgeable waitress, please ask for her when you visit. The restaurant is spacious with a full bar, flat screens, and a clear view of a green space with seating and our hotel. All our entrees- calamari, mushroom chicken, braised short rib, and the deep dish cookie a La mode were mouthwatering. There is an 18% gratuity added to all checks which we discovered when our bill was brought. We left a cash tip as well. This is definitely not one to miss. read more

Tried a new place tonight, situated in the element hotel in doral. We had a reservation and were seated right away. For appetizers we ordered the tequenos and the french onion soup. The Tequenos: 7.8/10- the crust was flaky and good and the cheese was true queso. The french onion soup: 6.5/10- it had a very thin layer of cheese (hoped for more)) and had a bit more salt than needed Let's move on to entrees, they did have a miami spice menu however we opted for ordering off the menu. We ordered the skirt steak w/ fries and the filet mignon w/ mashed potatoes. Filet Mignon- 6/10- for a steakhouse they really missed the mark on the cook of the steak. It did come w garnished rosemary however it lacked a lot of flavor. The mashed potatoes were good. Skirt steak- 7/10- cooked well, but the meat quality was lacking. Definitely over seasoned. Lets talk about the restaurant and staff: clean, lack attention to detail. We placed a birthday on the reservation and even confirmed there was a birthday but thats as far as it got. Overall a bit disappointed. Pros: Great drinks, great apps, good music. Cons: The entrees were flavorless. We order the tomahawk with mashed potatoes and sautéed mushrooms. The steak was 90% fat, and the 10% meat. That 10% was flavorless. Not worth the money at all! If you're looking for a happy hour with some apps this is a great place. I can only speak for the drinks and the service. Thank you for the great bottomless drink specials! Also, there were different specials each night, live music, and the waiter was very kind. We stayed at the Aloft Miami Doral hotel, right next door; however, their bar area did not open on Saturday - unannounced. We were happy that we had the option to walk next door, after a long day in the pool, to enjoy cocktails. I definitely wish 107 Steak & Bar opened sooner than 4pm, but it was still a nice indoor/outdoor area and seemed popular even with non-hotel visitors. The food was flavorful and they have a solid selection of drinks. However, the music was louder than expected, which made conversation a bit challenging at times. Cute bar/restaurant in Doral. We were seated right away, and the hostess was very welcoming. Indoor and patio seating are available. I ordered the French Onion soup, Ravioli and a drink from the bar. The food was ok. The French Onion soup could have used more flavor. I didn't really enjoy the ravioli. Our server was great however. This review is for their Miami Spice Brunch only: I love Miami Spice because it motivates me to try other places for the first time. Only 20 restaurants are offering brunch for Miami Spice including 107 Steak. We were looking to have a hearty and filling brunch but didn't want to travel toward the beach so 107 Steak seemed like a good choice right down the street. I've heard of this place but was surprised to find out they had a brunch. Here's how it went: APPETIZER CRISPY, SWEET, AND SPICY APPLE SMOKED BACON - they served a very generous portion of this goodness.. about 5 pieces. It sure was crispy and sweet, but not spicy. Perhaps they meant cinnamon spiced? Oddly it was served by itself but still good nonetheless. ENTREE CHICKEN & WAFFLES was pretty good. The chicken was crispy and sweet with candied bacon bits and drizzled with some maple syrup. For Miami Spice, we received about a half portion. STEAK & EGG BENEDICT was fairly delish and a half portion as well. It came with a poached egg on top of filet mignon and a buttermilk biscuit. They asked how I wanted the filet mignon done and I said medium. They cooked it correctly but perhaps a little more rare than it should be. It also came with some home fries.. or tater tots which were pretty good. Even better with the ketchup and hot sauce that they brought out. DESSERT FRUIT BOWL was ok. Didn't love it but I enjoyed the honey vanilla yogurt that came with it. It tasted like a rich, high quality yogurt.. kind of like a Siggi's yogurt. Wasn't crazy about the fruit selection. CHEESECAKE FRENCH TOAST was topped off with some strawberries and whipped cream. I liked this dessert half way. I enjoyed it until I reached the inner middle cheesecake part which became a little too rich and heavy with the cream cheese. I got full from this and couldn't finish it. BRUNCH DRINK COFFEE - tasted very good MIMOSA - don't love mimosas but this one was better than expected Our waitress (Cindy A.)was super nice and helpful throughout. She was a delight. The ambiance was very nice and designed to be similar to places in Wynwood and Brickell. 107 Steak served a good variety of food from their Miami Spice menu and the overall value was worth it. Some of these items that we tried cost a lot more on their regular menu so we felt that we got a good deal. However, I'm not sure that this place is for me. Came here this weekend just needing to get food close to my hotel. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I choose to sit inside. The restaurant appears clean and the wait staff were attentive. The down side a couple of the waitresses or table bussers that bring water around didn't speak English. It wasn't a biggie though. The food was good, and well seasoned. I hd the 107 burger , which was cooked properly and my friend had the chicken with mash potatoes. The chicken meal was very flavorful. There was a singer there for the live music and he sang Latin songs. It was nice. The ambience was nice. I feel Like the pricing of the food could've been better but oh well. Our server Fatima was absolutely amazing! They have bottomless champagne and beer until 10pm for a set price. The food was perfectly cooked and tasted great also. The mashed potatoes tasted homemade which I loved. Unfortunately being allergic to shellfish made it difficult for me to try the lobster Mac n cheese but I was told it was amazing. Definitely would never have found this place if it wasn't for the most recent list of places you have to try if your in miami.
