The front and entrance to this restaurant is very inviting. Beautiful well stocked bar as you enter and great barkeep. We were seated near a window with a view which made the visit that much better. Appetizers on spot and dinner was very good. Seafood was perfectly cooked. The sauce had the perfect spice to it which did not hide the flavor of the tomatoes or the seafood. Unfortunately the bread served is hard square biscuit type rolls and only one per person. With a dinner like this with a high price I would have loved to have some fresh baked Italian bread. The Parmesan was taken off the table before dinner was served which upset the guests that joined me. All in all, the food was good and the service decent. Unfortunately before we were even seated we were told there was another reservation for our table and we had to be seated immediately as we enjoyed a cocktail at the bar before our table was ready.

Lago Su Bella is one of those restaurants that's stays in your rotation because the food is amazing, the staff is awesome, and we have the perfect experience every time! We love to first grab a drink at the bar (usually a gin martini) and chat with John, who is so nice and knows how to make a great drink! For dinner, it's hard for me to break away from their Short Ribs because they are so incredible. But sometimes (if they have it) we will do the pasta in the big cheese wheel! They have a ton of Gluten Free options for my wife which is another thing that keeps us coming back. If you are in Oconomowoc, this one has to be on your list!

Happy New Year's Eve! We 6 had reservations for 7:00 on NYE and started the evening at the bar as our table was prepped. The tenders were working incredibly hard and well and seemed to have their dance going at all times. Very well done! Being seated at our table, we were greeted by our server, Sondra, who was a hoot! She was efficient, knowledgeable and had a sense of humor that was just the right touch. Appetizers: the bruschetta was piled high with tomato, and the calamari was crispy and done perfectly. The special menu was interesting, and all six of us ordered something different from the special and regular menu, and not one of us was disappointed. The noise level was not an issue for conversations, and the bussers were efficient, even when a glass of water took out one of our table covers. The parking right outside the front door is limited but there is parking across the street with a short 1/2 block walk. The entire restaurant has accessibility. The windows overlook the lake and in the warmer weather, I am sure the view is incredible. I always think a NYE dinner will be less than great since I regularly had so-so meals at higher prices. Not tonight - we plan to come back again, especially on NYE for another wonderful experience.

While I was in town last week, friends suggested this place for our last dinner and it didn't disappoint! We walked in and were warmly greeted and shown to a table up front (we were a large party) Being seated by the bar had an advantage as our drinks came up quickly and were definitely well poured. While I didn't walk toward the back of the restaurant, the atmosphere seems "clubby" and maybe a little more upscale away from the bar area. We had a range of food and all of it was good. In fact, people devoured their food so quickly, I was only able to get a picture of all the desserts they brought out! From a fish standpoint, people in our group raved about the salmon and the scallops. For the meat eaters- the pork chop and the lamb were the winners. I had the Frutti de mare pasta which was very good with shrimp, scallops mussels and calamari. As for those desserts, we had cannolis (my fav) cheesecake, tiramisu, creme brule and an Italian donut with chocolate (I'm sure that has a much better name) but it doesn't matter as it was really delicious! Service was on point and I"d encourage you to make a reservation as the place was packed on this Sunday night. Parking is limited but there is a huge lot across the street. All in all a lovely evening out in Oconomowoc!

What a wonderful experience once again! Service is impeccable and the food options exquisite. Every dish was spot on. Perfect delicious.

My husband and I visited this lovely restaurant for the first time last month to celebrate our anniversary. From the moment we were seated in front of the window that overlooked Lac La Belle, we knew we were in for a special night. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable of the menu and the evening's specials, available and responsive when we needed her, and was very patient as we took our time eating and leaving (after they had closed). There were so many incredible menu choices, but we both decided on pasta - my husband chose lasagna and I chose the seafood pasta (Frutti di Mare). Both were outstanding - perfectly cooked and flavored - and I took enough home for dinner the next night. We shared a salad, the bread service, and a bottle of wine, and we were treated to a cannoli for dessert in honor of our anniversary. My husband couldn't resist the ordering the creme brûlée dessert special as well, and both provided the prefect way to end an excellent dining experience. The ambience, view, service, and food were all exceptional and we will definitely be back to enjoy them all again.

Best Italian restaurant in lake country. Hands down. I love dining here and every time it's a wonderful experience. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is sophisticated and comfortable. And the location is perfect with beautiful views on the lake. But the food is too notch! My favorite appetizer is the truffle burrata bruschetta. It's a perfect blend of flavors and textures. For entrees I always love the truffle ravioli and the scallops.

The food here NEVER disappoints!!! #1 favorite dish would be the Mussels Appetizer but you can't go wrong with any of the food! Beautiful restaurant, beautiful view, delicious food and great service!

Their front patio is very welcoming and has plenty of seating. We opted for inside however, as it was a tad chilly during our visit. The inside is welcoming too though: rustic like bar area, big dining room, and an open kitchen. Shout out Scott for taking care of us- what and friendly guy, with attentive service. Not to mention he knew everything on that menu like the back of his hand. Big fan of both my gin martini, and my blackened grouper entree. And let me tell ya it was a tough pick because there are tons of delicious-sounding options here. But in the end, that grouper was perfect. It came atop of multigrain rice, roasted red peppers, spinach, black beans, and mushrooms. Plus the roasted red pepper cream sauce was chefs kiss. Everyone else at the table also cleared their plates: thin crust pizza, short ribs, and sea scallop risotto. Clearly you can't go wrong here. Definitely a bit on the pricey side in my opinion, but I suppose you do get what you pay for!

We were thrilled with the familiarity but also with the newness of the menu. As it was far too hot to eat al fresco, we were given a table on the first floor near the window. We had 5:00 reservations and were seated immediately. Our server, Mason, was fun and efficient, but he also had to cover the bar so he was running. A few more staff would have been helpful as the tables filled up, and by 6:15, people were waiting outside to get a table. The age group of diners is varied, and everyone seemed to be very satisfied. We ordered the Bruschetta and the Salmon with Lemon Risotto, both of them prepared very well. The food tasted very fresh, and the presentation was lovely. I also ordered the Bolognese because I love a good dish of it. This one did not disappoint. However, the meat pieces were small pea-sized bits of beef, which tasted good, but looked a bit odd. I would like to know why, but I was too busy enjoying the dish. It is my birthday and so I was offered either a free cocktail or a dessert. I love a good treat so the flourless cake was my choice. It was a very nice birthday present. I really look forward to our next visit. The menu has lots of options I want to try.

It was carmalized nicely and the custard was delicious, but it could have benefited from some additional fruit toppings or something else to push it above ordinary. All in all, it was a fun night with friendly service and some pretty tasty classic Italian dishes.

Found out tables were only available via reservation which I thought was a bit odd for a Mexican restaurant but we were offered a seat at the bar so we jumped on that. Busy restaurant, great things are in store. We were greeted by friendly bartenders but after dropping off water, took them a long time to come back around to take our order. When they did came back, it was to ask us to accommodate another couple at the bar by sliding over, rather than take our order. Eventually we ordered, guac of course and a few tacos each. The guac came out super quick, which was a good thing because the tacos took forever, like 30 minutes or more. Which for tacos, should never take that long. We also had to ask for napkins and utensils at this time. The food showed up, quesa-birria and the brisket. The brisket taco was excellent. If I come back, I'll order those. The birria was soggy and lacked the crispiness expected from something called birria. Even tho there was consomme called out in the description, non was provided. What made it worse is when the food was delivered to a couple near by, they were offered salsa and all the things. Felt like we missed out on things. It should have been better. Not sure I'll give it another try.
