Crispy Crab Cakes Small Plate

Indoor and outdoor seating. Clean, contemporary, soft lighting inside, colorful panels of light. Lovely tables shaded with umbrellas on the patio. Hip zibe. Outstanding, friendly, prompt staff. Excellent variety on the menu of small plates, pizzas, Italian entrees, soups, sandwiches and desserts. Consistency every time we dine at Zin.

Really cute and cozy restaurant right off the main street. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming, especially on a cold winter night. You walk right into their bar area and then they have a nice dining area. It was a Friday night so we made reservations and glad we did. We were seated right away and had a very nice waitress. We started off with their crispy cauliflower app which was delicious (my favorite part of the meal) and then I had chicken panna cotta. The sauce was drowning the potatoes and veggies and I thought the chicken was just ok. I would order something else next time. I wish I would have gotten the fish fry, it looked really good. The food came out pretty quick and the service was good but overall not super impressed with the food. Again, a really nice atmosphere, friendly staff and I did like how in the dining room you can see the open kitchen. I would like to come back to try the fish fry.

Came here with my entire extended family after my grandmas funeral (this was one of her favorite restaurants). We probably had close to 25 people and the servers were very patient and friendly. Good food and drinks as always. Will be back when I'm in town.

I've eaten at Zin several times over the past few years in small parties and large groups at both lunch and dinner. Generally the food is very good and the staff are friendly if not particularly well trained for fine dining. On my most recent visit, our shared appetizer was delivered without plates to share and it took several minutes to get our servers attention to bring salt and pepper to the table. I'm not sure if the lack of salt and pepper was intentional as we looked around the dining room and none of the tables had salt and pepper on them for diners. After our main entrées arrived, neither our server or management checked in to see how our meals were. We would have enjoyed a dessert, but as no one checked on our table after we finished our entrees, we decided to move on and have dessert someplace else Not a huge deal and we will continue to patronize the restaurant, but we hope they take notice and maybe spend some time setting their wait staff up for success with some updated training.

Thin crust pizza

Went last night for valentines days. I have been here before and had a good experience but all I can say is. DO NOT GET THE PIZZA! They should warn you that the thin crust is a crappy store bought cardboard crust. Not homemade or authentic in anyway. It was stiff as a cardboard and tasted like cardboard. It was worse than a frozen pizza. Also... anyone ever heard of the Chuck E. Cheese conspiracy? Cause Idk what's going on with the one random smaller piece.

Cuban sandwich, fries, Avocado Bacon Chop Salad with shrimp in the back

My buddy and I came for lunch--we arrived at 2 pm so it was not as busy as a traditional meal time and we loved that. The Christmas decor was pretty and our waitress arrived for drinks, questions, and ordering at great times. I got a house side salad before my Cuban sandwich with fries; the house side salad was so good and fresh! I'd have had that for my main meal. My Cuban was great--loved the thing ham and the pickles. Fries were thick and hot; loved them. My buddy got a salad and he said it was excellent. I'd come back if I were back in the area!

Looking around as we were deciding on what to order, everything that was being delivered to tables around us, looked delicious! I ordered the Tortelloni Della campagna, an amazing mushroom filled pasta dish. Everything was so good and the perfect serving size. There are plenty of options of wine to go with your pasta dish. Tried the 3 for $35 weeknight special, which included an appetizer, entree and dessert. My bruschetta appetizer was fresh and loaded with plenty of tomato. Loved the pesto on top. For the entree, I went with their famous Rigatoni Bolognese, and it mostly lived up to the hype. For dessert, I had to try the creme brulee. It was carmalized nicely and the custard was delicious, but it could have benefited from some additional fruit toppings or something else to push it above ordinary. All in all, it was a fun night with friendly service and some pretty tasty classic Italian dishes.

We were thrilled with the familiarity but also with the newness of the menu. As it was far too hot to eat al fresco, we were given a table on the first floor near the window. We had 5:00 reservations and were seated immediately. Our server, Mason, was fun and efficient, but he also had to cover the bar so he was running. A few more staff would have been helpful as the tables filled up, and by 6:15, people were waiting outside to get a table. The age group of diners is varied, and everyone seemed to be very satisfied. We ordered the Bruschetta and the Salmon with Lemon Risotto, both of them prepared very well. The food tasted very fresh, and the presentation was lovely. I also ordered the Bolognese because I love a good dish of it. This one did not disappoint. However, the meat pieces were small pea-sized bits of beef, which tasted good, but looked a bit odd. I would like to know why, but I was too busy enjoying the dish. It is my birthday and so I was offered either a free cocktail or a dessert. I love a good treat so the flourless cake was my choice. It was a very nice birthday present. I really look forward to our next visit. The menu has lots of options I want to try.

We started with the Arugula Radicchio Salad (perfectly dressed!) and a cup of Potato Leek Soup, then shared the Duck Leg Confit (it was the best duck we've had in awhile, and braised cabbage! those duck fat roast potatoes!) and the Beef Filet with potato gratin (yum!!), watercress and red wine jus. Every dish had a nice wood-fired flavor. Excellent quality across the board, and the prices felt very reasonable for what you're getting. Our server was excellent - attentive, knowledgeable, friendly without hovering. The support staff kept our waters filled and dishes cleared seamlessly. We appreciated the NA beer, wine, and cocktail options. I had a modified French 75 and loved it - it's nice to have thoughtful non-alcoholic choices. Someday I'd love to grab seats at the counter in front of the kitchen to watch the action. We will be back!

It was my birthday, and our friends wanted to take us to one of their favorite restaurants. This is a place they've been to several times and were excited to show off. They're especially known for their artisan pizzas. Food: Since pizza is their specialty, and two people in our group get very excited about a good slice, they ordered a Cheese, Sausage & Onion pizza and a Margherita pizza. The nightly special was Lamb Chop, which is one of my favorites, so I went with that. The last person ordered the Salmon. Overall, the food was very good. The lamb chop was nicely presented, cooked to the right temperature, and pesto-encrusted, which was a delicious combination. While it was good, it could have been a bit more flavorful. The salmon was enjoyed, though it leaned slightly dry. Both pizzas came out piping hot, generously topped, and very flavorful. There was plenty to share around the table. We had a little room left for dessert and ordered the Chocolate Nemesis. It was a good size and just enough to satisfy everyone's sweet tooth. They even added a candle to help celebrate my birthday, which was a nice touch. Service: Our server did a very good job throughout the evening. We were quickly settled in with drinks and menus, and the pacing of the meal was relaxed and well managed. We never felt like we were waiting on service. When they learned it was a birthday celebration, they went out of their way to present the dessert with a lit candle. It's a small gesture, but it really shows attention to detail. Atmosphere: The restaurant felt much larger inside than expected. We were seated in a separate room that we had entirely to ourselves. Each of us had an upholstered chair, which initially felt special, though it took some adjustment not to lean back too comfortably at the table. When we arrived, the room was quite chilly and drafty. We asked if the thermostat could be adjusted, which helped, though it remained a bit drafty. Overall, it was a very good experience and a place we would return to. Next time, I'd probably opt for one of the pizzas and request a table in the main dining room.

Great place for a special occasion, but they don't hit it out of the ballpark every time...maybe 4 out of 5 (hence 4 stars). The food at Palmer's has always been very good. My wife and I have only ever had steak here as entrees. My go to is a med-rare ribeye and my wife always goes with a mid-well filet butterflied (I know, I know...shaking my head as I type that). They also have a really good tomato and fresh mozzarella salad that is a great starter (the balsamic is what makes it stand out). Service here is pretty spot on the majority of the time and all of the people that we have interacted with have been friendly. It can get relatively loud if you are sitting in the main dining room area, and this is where we have always been seated.

We were seated promptly and the place was almost full for Saturday dinner. After a short wait, they brought us table waters and left a large bottle of water for refills. I was a little disappointed that they didn't get us started with chips and salsa as is typical for most Mexican restaurants. They have a nice liquor selection and an expanded page of a variety of Tequilas and specialty margaritas. The menu is limited to only one page but focuses on a nice variety of appetizers, Tacos and meals. For starters, we ordered the Chips and pico de gallo. The pico was very fresh and tasty and came with a generous portion of tortilla chips. For dinner, we ordered 3 tacos each - Manolos Bam Bam chicken tacos, Milwalke taco, Shrimp cilantro tacos, and the Quasi birria taco. When they arrived they seemed pretty small but our eyes were bigger than our stomach. Each soft corn tortilla taco was loaded with the selected meat and accompanied toppings. Each one was very delicious with generous amounts of chicken, shrimp, and steak with just the right amount of spice. After 3 of them I was stuffed! The guacamole came out quickly and was tasty, with a slightly sweet twist due to the pomegranate seeds and chips just as I like them. I ordered the milwalke and manolos bam bam tacos. I preferred the bam bam because it was filled a bit more but I didn't love the mayo based sauce on either. I would've preferred that on the side or, even better, an offering of salsa instead. I would've loved to review their salsa but only heard about it as I was finished up and it was offered to the couple sitting next to us at the bar.
