The goat soup was sooooo spicy but very good if you like your mouth on fire. The peri peri chicken was not my favorite. A bit dry and the lemon pepper flavor wasn't really coming thru. Service was good. No complaints. The noise level wasn't too bad considering it's right by Times Square. The music was great. Didn't like sitting next to people smoking hookah though. They should have separate smoking and non smoking sections.

I'm went to Lagos TSQ on a recommendation from a friend and I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. The restaurant was beautiful, the music was good, and the food was great. I sat at the bar and ordered a drink along with jollof rice with chicken and my meal didn't disappoint. The restaurant is right by Times Square and easy to get to which is a plus. There was also security at the door which made the establishment feel secure. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for something good and different to eat while sightseeing in NYC!

I went to Lagos last night. I made reservations although they do accept walkins. This restaurant exceeded my expectations. This spot was stunning. It has two levels.I love the decor, it was so luxurious and charming. I love the soft cushion chairs with gold trimming and the gold silverware was stunning. It had one of the biggest bars with 5 to 6 large tvs. The lighting set the mood capturing the beauty and essence of the place. The serve was amazing. From the time I walked in the hosts were warm and friendly. My friend and I choose to sit downstairs. As I sat I was at awe and blown away by the beauty of the restaurant. Our waitress Rawan was fantastic. She was sweet, friendly and really knew the menu and gave excellent recommendations. We ordered two Lychee Martinis from the happy hour menu. The Lychee Martini had house vodka, lychee puree, cream of coconut and elder flower liqueur. In addition to the drinks, I also ordered the beef sliders from the happy hour menu too. The beef sliders came with american cheese, sauteed onions and spicy mayo. The sliders were so delicious. From the caramelized onions and the perfectly cooked burger on a sweet roll and the cheese was just another touch added to the burger. Who doesn't like a slider with cheese. Some of the best beef sliders I have ever had. The first bit was amazing that I wanted to savor every bit. My friend ordered another Lychee Martini while I ordered Lekki Margarita with Coconut flavor. Rawan our waitress, recommended this drink and I see why. It was a decadent, rich and balanced Martini with Tamarind on the rim. So good I ordered another one and my friend joined me too. We were in love with the drinks. We did ordered more food. I ordered Mac and cheese with crab meat and BBQ wings. The Mac and cheese came in a cast iron pan. That Mac and cheese was cheesy and flavorful. It was cooked perfectly. The wings were good too. My friend ordered Jollof Rice, slow cooked one-pot rice, tomatoes, red bell pepper, scotch bonnet and ginger with Goat meat. The Goat meat was nice and tender. The Jollof Rice was full of bold, spicy, tasteful flavor. She also ordered Calamari which came with red stew aioli, spicy mayo. This restaurant hands down capture the Caribbean but most of all the African favors and spices. I was very impressed with the presentation and execution of the dishes. The managers checked in to make sure how everything was. Overall, the staff was terrific. This restaurant by far has some of the best African food I ever had. I will definitely be back.

The food is full of flavor and cooked perfectly. I love that they use lots of spices to enhance their dishes. The atmosphere was very loud and made it difficult to have conversations due to loud music. I would visit this restaurant again for the good food, but perhaps at a different time of the day, hoping the music will not give nightclub vibes.

I came here to celebrate the union of my two friends. We were part of a private dinner party. I was not thrilled by the service - felt they could've had more servers to assist but instead it was one lady managing a crowd. The drinks were good but everything was slow. Even a glass of water. I was also disappointed in the Lagos pasta... the meat was a chicken thigh. Just plopped on top and not much pasta sauce. The lamb was tasty though.

Ambience: 10/10. Music was on point. They had a live DJ who played all the right songs. Very entertaining with the oldies and new songs as well. A lot of places to take pictures. Cute flowery walls and great lighting. Service: was good. At first we were waiting for a server but eventually we got one, Anthony, who was really attentive. Food: Food was okay. I wish It had more of an authentic taste but it got the job done nonetheless. I definitely didnt leave hungry so kudos to them!

The photog was basically a backpack on my co-worker's back no apologies either.

I went to this place for a birthday celebration and/or it was SUPER busy. So many birthdays and other events happening simultaneously. The space itself is beautiful, the décor the high ceilings and even the open French doors in to Times Square, great for ambience. I saw different platters coming out in folk's food. Looking more American than African, so I've decided to go with an appetizer and azobel. The Zobo was absolutely delicious. Tropically fruity, heavily gingered and very much so Naija style. The fries were warm & basic with the little suya seasoning. My friend had a burger with an oddly pale bun that he said tasted like a sweet dinner roll. Maybe it's a special type. Meh... solid 3. Service is where things get a wonky. 20% gratuity is automatically added to your bill, so it seems there is no incentive for personable or prompt service. Waiting 35 minutes for water, an additional 30 for non-alcoholic bevs and 35 more minutes on top of that for... a burger, fries, and plantains is wild. The contradicting statements, menus & prices were off putting, resulting in half our party canceling. Be prepared to yell the entire time with the music blasting on the top floor. We ended up at the bar to continue our celebration in a less intense setting. Thankfully it was less of a nightclub sound system. I was nursing a headache the next day.

A vibe and they allowed us to order happy hour at the very last minute on the other hand our server was a little odd. The food was so delicious 10/10 pricey but that's New York for you! :)

The food and drinks here are fantastic! The African beer and the froze were wonderful and was great on a hot day. We ordered the red snapper with peri peri sauce and the jollof rice with fish. We also ordered the snails. The snails were very unique and delicious, they were amazing. The jollof rice was excellent and paired wonderfully with the accompanying sauce and fried fish. The red snapper with peri peri was incredible and is enough for two people if you order an appetizer. Overall 10/10 incredible food!

I went to the website and saw that this place had a strict dress code, no sports wear or sneakers, etc only to find people dressed veryyy casual here! I would have gladly swapped my heels for my Jordans, especially with how long we had to wait standing by the bar before we were seated upstairs. I didn't have much to eat here and didn't get a drink. I will say that I enjoyed the calamari, and the wings. The platter offered a bunch of diff wing flavors- the jerk was my fav. The fries were cool too. Although the Jollof rice seemed to be a hit, l personally wasn't a fan. The Smokey flavor didn't hit right for me. If you are looking for a club type of vibe with loud music, hookah and decent food this is your spot. I can't say whether or not l'll come back. If I was invited, sure... but I don't think it's a place I'm highly anticipating coming back too. Personally, not quite my scene anymore when I'm looking to have dinner. A party...maybe

I came here for an early dinner with a party of 4 on a Saturday. I was put off by the amount of security at the front door; ID checks I get. But why is there facial recognition technology being used, and without warning? Not exactly a "warm" welcome. We ended up having to wait for the 4th person before we were seated, so keep that in mind when you're making plans with that friend who's always late! We ordered the Asun and Suya to start. Both were very good but the Asun was my favorite; such a tasty dish and the spices were perfect. For the main, I shared the Roasted Red Snapper and Lagos Salad with someone, and also had the Yam Fries and plantains on the side. Everything was very good. I especially liked the stew that came with the yam. I tasted the Lagos Fried rice and that was also very good. The spice level is perfect for anyone who likes spicy food; enough for you to feel it but not too much where you can't enjoy it. A word about the atmosphere: this is definitely a turn-up/party spot. They had 2 djs spinning and even had dancers and photographers coming around. They also offered us hookah. It was too loud for our tastes, but we are older and were really looking forward to catching up with each other. We ended up shouting the whole time. Once we had a drink it didn't bother us too much, though lol. This would be a great spot to enjoy a celebration or to grab food before going out to a party/club. It's on the pricier side (the cocktail I ordered was $22!),but that is to be expected in Tims Square. The service was decent. All in all, I had a good time and the food is excellent. I just wouldn't come here for a romantic dinner or to catchup with an old friend.

This place is great for brunch! I don't know how authentic the food is but it tastes amazing! The drinks never dissapoint but can be pricey. The chairman drink is my favorite. I suggest making reservations because there is always a long wait if you don't have one. They play a mix of afrobeats, reggae, hiphop music. They also offer hookah. It's hard to find a place with good food drinks music and hookah all in one. So if that is what you are looking for, this is a good option.

This was our first time trying Nigerian food. The drinks were strong & the food was so delicious. Babbyy they left no spices behind. So goodt! The music & decor truly elevated our dining experience. The photographer did a great job capturing the moment. Lagos was a Good Friday night vibe. I was also blown away by the exceptional service provided by our server, Princess. From the moment we were seated, Princess greeted us with warmth and professionalism, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience. We wanted to have after-dinner cocktails in a chill space, so we searched on our phones & saw Paradise Lost address via Google. We proceeded to walk down & was unable to find the establishment due to their being no front sign. After walking back & forth a few times, we saw another group walking towards the door & they confirmed the place. We walked inside the front door pressed a "doorbell" & lo & behold we gained entry after the previous group went inside. Definitely an incognito entrance. Once inside that door there is someone to greet you, & take your information. There is a forest/ grass/ jungle-looking foyer/ hallway we walked down to get to the next door. Before we knew it, we were near the "Paradise Lost No Vacancy" neon sign w/ an arrow pointing towards the snake-shaped knob door. It gets opened & a supercool speakeasy awaits.... Paradise Lost has mixed style table / seating arrangements throughout the place. A bar seating section, booth-style seating area, lounge- style seating area, etc. We got there a little after 7pm, so the afterwork crowd was in full swing. Paradise Lost has interesting atmosphere. At times a Gothic / Medieval Vibe, meets place w/ shipwreck decor, meets eleganct /club vibe w/ beautiful ceiling lighting, etc. Music played in the background. Staff are friendly, energetic, & attentive. We were pleasantly overwhelmed w/ the vast selection of tiki cocktails that were on the menu. Paradise Lost also have an intimate selection of snacks/ food menu items. This included Popcorn, Tater Tots, Devilled Eggs Rangoon Dip, etc. We ordered some cocktails served in unique tiki mugs & a bucket of popcorn to munch on w/ our drinks. The popcorn is flavored w/ Sea Buckthorn & Browm Butter, which gave it an special flavor profile. Our cocktails were well-prepared & nice & strong. Paradise Lost has individual unisex bathroom stalls & a communal vanity & sink area. The bathroom stalls have spooky voices coming from a speaker as you use the bathroom. I was so humorously taken aback, it had me laughing when I came out...Definitely a different thing to experience in the bathroom - lol. Before we left we watched one of the bartenders do a cocktail "fire" presentation for some patrons in a booth seated area. Wow.... Paradise Lost accepts walk-ins only, no reservations. Paradise Lost accepts groups of 8 or less, unless you are requesting to book the space for a private event. Ages 21+ paradiselost.nyc @paradiselostnyc Paradise Lost is open everyday - 5pm-2am.

Dim lighting, plush seating, rich wood + wallpaper details, and that lounge-library vibe make the place feel like a secret hideout right in the middle of Midtown. It's moody, cozy, and effortlessly intimate -- perfect for a date night, a chill catch-up, or just a night out with good drinks. Nice service, too! However: be ready for the price tag. The cocktails are absolutely beautiful -- well crafted, creative, and flavorful -- but each one will remind you that you're not exactly paying dive-bar prices. It's worthwhile, but the "overpriced drinks" vibe absolutely hits. That said: the interior design and ambience are amazing. My only two gripes with the spot were - they didn't acknowledge my birthday, even with a happy birthday from my server or the hostess. Though there wasn't a dish that just blew my mind, everything was consistently really good and enjoyable. I recommended ordering a handful of dishes and sharing with a group. The cornstar martini was fun (and the popcorn was great!), the vodka pasta, caesar salad, and truff fries were enjoyable as well. The cute matchboxes were a cherry on top as we were leaving!
