    Housemade Chocolate Mousse
    Yasmine G.

Came here for dinner, we both got the Jerk Chicken Alfredo. Also got the chocolate mousse. The Jerk Chicken Alfredo was super spicy We expected it to be spicy but were thrown off by how spicy it was. Would recommend a warning on the menu indicating the spice level. Still really enjoyed it, especially since it was paired with an Alfredo sauce, the cream helped mellow it out. The chocolate mousse was topped with whipped cream and strawberries. Really nice chocolate flavor and light and airy. A good way to end your meal! Would definitely recommend!

    Shrimp & Parmesan Grits

I came here for brunch and I have always wanted to try it. So first the place was full but we were able to get a table. I ordered the sorrel with ginger beer and it was really good. I remember the drink was really good. We sat at the bar and the bartender was great she suggested the drink for me. The service was great very friendly and attentive. I ordered shrimp and grits and this is where I was a bit disappointed, first the dish was not really hot. The shrimps were overcooked but the portion was fair. The grits were prepared but they needed to be warmer. Overall I would come back the experience was nice and the food was good just a couple of things in which they could improve in my opinion. My friend loved her food so it could be me.

I came here and had a phenomenal jerk chicken caesar salad. The caesar dressing paired well with the jerk chicken. It was an amazing experience and something that I thoroughly enjoyed. The festival was nice and crispy and paired with a curry sauce that I would come back for alone. The service was very nice and the tables were clean. The environment was also clean. I have heard many good things about the edge over the years and it definitely lived up to the hype.

Spicy Shrimp & Jerk Alfredo with chicken

The food at The Edge Harlem was quite good and the service was great as well. My friend and I ordered the spicy shrimp with mango slaw and jerk alfredo with chicken to share. The spicy shrimp was tasty albeit for the price I expected more shrimp. The jerk alfredo with chicken was very good as well and quite heavy- a contrast to the spicy shrimp where you definitely get more than enough food. The drinks are where The Edge fell flat as first and foremost there's a disclaimer that all of the cocktails are wine-based. I don't exactly know how a rum punch or ginger margarita can be wine based and my thoughts checked out after I had both drinks. Did they taste bad? No, but they definitely tasted off. I'd pass on the cocktails here and just stick to the wine. All in all, The Edge is cool and I would go back (I believe they have a HH too)!

Went to The Edge for a family brunch during a weekday. It was so nice to be there when there weren't too many people. We got a great spot next to a sunny window, the staff were so incredibly nice and the owners as well. We ordered three coconut crusted fish burgers, a lamb burger, a kale salad, the curry chicken with rice and the jerk salmon caesar salad. We also ordered a couple of chai lattes, a mocha latte and some sorrel. Overall, the meal was incredible, everything tasted fresh and the portion sizes are very satisfying. The fish burger definitely has a bit of sweetness from the coconut and the fish was so flaky and juicy. The fries are fantastic. They were so crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I didn't expect the kale salad to be as robust and gorgeous as it was but it is truly a meal itself. The greens are vibrant and it is well dressed, not dry at all. Everyone was very pleased with their meals. The chai was not my favorite but I'm just very into chai. Definitely go here with family and I might even recommend doing a bit of family style eating because there are so many things to try.

When it comes to birthday celebrations, my sisters and I have done three things for the last 25 years: (1)they will treat my twin sister and I to a brunch or lunch (when our schedules align) of our choosing or (2) we will choose our own preferred restaurant or, (3) one sister will select a restaurant for the other's b'day. Well, one sister went for the last one to celebrate our other sister's b'day. The Edge H. won for its Jamaican menu for a Sunday brunch Thanksgiving weekend. As soon as we entered Edge H. on Edgecombe Ave, my sisters and I instantly knew this long-standing place must be known for its relaxed atmosphere, friendly service and food. Located away from the hustle and bustle, the setting is a petite, rustic, yet intimate space with strict and timely reservations. Our cod fish fritter balls starter were uniquely fluffy and we couldn't pass up the passion fruit mimosa carafe to share along with my daughter who visited. While refreshing, we were fooled by the "passion fruit" on the menu and tasted nothing like the fruit. Our meals were nice- but they listed better on paper. The grits in my dish were silky+buttery and so were the scrambled eggs. The shrimp were small and overcooked. I would've appreciated 2-3 large shrimp instead of 5 overcooked ones. My daughter's salmon (2 of my sisters also had this) with a jerk glaze was that- a glaze clump instead of the glaze coating and getting to all the nooks and crannies of the fish. Anyhow. My twin sister's mini Savory veggie pie, was buttery and tasty and the salad, was a refreshing side. My sister decided on the Spiced Bread pudding to ring in another year and share instead of bringing our own dessert then getting charged $10? $15? for the restaurant to cut the cake¯\_(ツ)_/¯. We also shared a chocolate "mousse" I'd seen on the menu- but while it was extravagantly cocoaey- it was a pudding ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Service is top-notch though.

This was my 1st time visiting this restaurant. I've walked by it numerous times, but have never eaten there until today. My goodness! The food was so good. I had the Coconut Basa fish burger w/ plaintain and a salad. To drink, the ginger margarita. I will definitely be coming back. Nice small spot. Good energy, great staff.

Some friends and I met for brunch at this restaurant. We were going to the Apollo for an event right after and wanted a spot not too far. The restaurant is small but very cozy and inviting. The staff were amazing, very friendly and accommodating. The ambience of the place was cool with an Afrocentric and Caribbean like vibe. Now to the good part, the delicious food. Me and my friend had the carrot ginger soup with a piece of festival to start and omg it was the best soup I've had in a long time. The soup was nice and hot and very flavorful. I also ordered the jerk chicken quesadillas that were delicious. Two friends ordered fish and another friend had the jerk chicken with waffles. The chicken and waffles were good too. Some friends ordered a glass of sorrel juice and I had hot tea. Overall this place was a hit and I will definitely return to check out some other menu items.

Cute spot with the girls after an event. No hard liquor but the ginger margarita was yum! Service was good and the staff friendly. Food wasn't bad. Our vegan friend made it work without having to resort to French fries.

    Rum Punch 10/10

The Edge Harlem is a community staple. The cozy vibes, attentive staff and delicious food never disappoint. I love how welcoming and relaxing the space is, the staff are all so patient, it's so easy to spend a great amount of time here. I always get the cod fritters, because they're honestly in my top 3. Perfectly crispy, packed with flavor, and a hint of spice, a must try! As The white sangria & rum punch are always a must and normally end my meal with a cortado. They have amazing coffee too. I'm a specials type of girl, so I always get the ackee and salt fish, sometimes with festival or the grits and avocado & a side of soft scramble eggs. 10/10! Filling, classic and delishhhhh. You really can't go wrong with a cozy neighborhood spot that is consistently good. I've been going for years!

Vibe Check Ambiance : Cozy 5/5 Service: 5/5 Food: 5/5 So this is my 2nd time visiting the Edge Harlem, this time my mom tagged along with me for her first visit. I really enjoy this neighborhood gem. The service is great and the food is as well. I came back for the Fish burger again ( I know it sounds weird) however it is so goooooooood. The fish burger came with salad and plantains (my plantains were fried a little too hard but wasn't horrible) the fish burger is definitely the star of this meal lol. My mother had the shrimp (4 pieces of shrimp) and grits and had no complaints she literally cleared her plate lol. The shrimp fritters were tasty as always. Will be back :)

Up to what time is brunch served on the weekends?

    4pm

    Can you order to go?

Yes you can. You can find the store on seamless and Grubhub and order to go from there. I don't think you can order to go directly from the restaurant.

Is this spot kid friendly....could I go with my family here for brunch?

Yes, it’s kid friends but it depends on the size of your family. The place is very tight when it comes to seating (it’s a small restaurant in general), I would suggest asking them in advance how many they could seat

Hello, can I make a reservation? I keep calling but no answer

I've gotten through on once but that was for a Mother's Day dinner with a party of 8. I've had to call them more then once go get an answer.…

Does this place offer unlimited drinks for weekend brunch?

Nope. They don't offer unlimited drinks at all. Would be nice though..

The Coconut Shrimp were crispy and flavorful, and the sweet chili dipping sauce complemented them well. I was nervous that the Jerk Chicken was going to be too salty, but the seasoning was outstanding. The spice level was fine, not too spicy at all. And the Coconut Rice & Peas were great. Walked into Margon Restaurant in Midtown and instantly felt like I found one of NYC's secret cheat codes. Small space, big flavors, zero nonsense. Ordered the Cuban sandwich -- pressed, crispy, loaded with roast pork, glazed ham, Swiss, pickles, and mustard. One bite in and I stopped talking... which never happens. This thing didn't just deliver... it showed up early and over-prepared.
