But, he's a good, ethical guy, and could appreciate our situation, and so he told us how we could make the best of our situation without massive demo and conduit, and crazy expensive wiring. And, he did it all graciously with a smile. What he got out of talking himself out of this job, is complete loyalty for any and all future jobs we'll ever need. There's a dime drilled to the surface of the furnace with wires running off it. Not their fault, but a heads up something was wrong would have been nice. 3. There was a level of soot that could not have been accumulated from November-January. Months and months worth falling from the flue to the floor behind the unit. Again, if they couldn't handle it, THEY SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME, AND I WOULD HAVE PAID SOMEONE TO CLEAN IT. The furnace repair tech said it looked like no cleaning had ever taken place.
