Shannon at Hillside saw the pictures of the damage and assured me they could do better on price, keep the car from being totalled and restore it to the condition it was in prior to being hit. Hillside completed the repairs and, I have to say, they did an amazing job! The door they replaced looks fantastic and they didn't do any work that wasn't necessary to jack up the bill. This shop restored my faith. They're a smaller shop, not a big chain focused on abusing the customers trust - and wallet. Don't give up on your car until you visit these people. I stopped into Abra while running errands to get an estimate of cost and time for the repair. The quote was extremely reasonable (less than my insurance deductible, so no need to make a claim). They had the quote done and the part ordered in just 10 minutes. They put a rush on the part for me and it arrived the next day. My husband was out of town that week so I had no one to take me to drop my car off and Abra offered to come pick up my car from my home for me! I just left the key under the mat for them! They had the entire repair done in just one day! They even offered to drop the car back off at my house for me. Best part, they even cleaned the interior and exterior of my car for me (just as good as any detail or professional cleaning). I'd recommend Abra to anyone who asked. The gentleman used his torch and heated the bumper so he could get the dent out. He even polished my bumper. Great customer service and great people. He didn't charge me for this minimal service, but I can assure I will tell all my friends and family that need collision repair that Kaliber is the place you want to go. They went above and beyond. It was returned "completed" with parts that didn't fit correctly and paint that didn't match. It was brought back three more times to be corrected. The trunk lid shifts when you close it. Nothing is flush. There's a gap between the bumper and the trunk that is visible with the lid open. The bumper doesn't line up with the body on the driver's side and the taillight on the passenger's side is not flush. To Bill's credit, he has tried very hard to make this right but at some point we have to accept that they simply do not have the ability to return my car to it's pre-accident condition. We will have to take my car elsewhere and pay out of pocket.

We met at my car within 20 minutes (on the dot). They were very kind and once my car was towed to the right spot they checked out my car and suggested what was going on with it. The payment was not bad either, it was 84$ for about 10 miles or 20 minutes. The other places were going to charge almost twice as much. So this company was super helpful when I definitely needed it.

My insurance company hired out Affordable recovery and towing and soon after they called me to tell me that they were on the way! Not too many companies will do that and update you. Only waited about an hour and two very professional guys showed up. Reason why I say professional is because we were in a residential neighborhood in the middle of the night and they were able to get my van safely but discreetly on the flatbed. They seemed to want to respect the homes in the area and hardly made any loud noises. They gave me a ride back to my house that wasn't too far and again they got my van unloaded relatively quietly. They also noticed my window was open and connected a jump pack so I could close my window. Again not too many tow drivers will pay that much detail in the middle of the night on a very short insurance tow. Through my job where I drive fleet vehicles I've done a lot of business with many tow company and I have to honestly say this company is on my TOP list!

When I went to the place to pick up the "truck", they showed me a van. They had no trucks for rent at all. They quoted a low per mile rate on the phone and when I got there, it was $.60/mile higher than the quote. Then they tell me they close at noon so they won't be there when I get back, so I would have to come down another day to pay. But I won't be able to pay with anything but cash or check. I wasn't able to go pay on the Monday after renting it, so I get a call Tuesday morning asking me to come in and pay. I tell him I can make it today or tomorrow. He (the owner) says, "No, you will come in today to pay!" So in short: Quote not accurate Wrong vehicle quoted Had to return another day to pay No way to pay but with cash or check Very rude owner I will not recommend this place nor will I return.

Sadly, I have to give one star. My son has a 2017 Ford escape. His transmission was slipping and a…read morewarning light came on in the dash that said it needed immediate attention. The car has 80k miles on it. I suggested that he take it to GB Ford in Thiensville to get an estimate. They told him it would be $190 for them to diagnose. Their estimate came back with multiple up-sales (which is to be expected). They told him that he needed a new transmission and with that including the up-sales the estimate was $9000! The itemization of the transmission replacement was never provided. I assume it was around $4000 because the up-sales were itemized and they added up to be almost $5000. Included in the estimate were four new tires, front end alignment, front and rear brake rotor and pad replacement (they indicated the rear brake pads were worn to less than 3mm which they were), and replacing the turbo charger among other things. They claimed they took a sample of the transmission fluid and determined that it was burnt and had metal in it. My son could not afford all these repairs. He asked me to pick the car up as he had to work. I paid $211 for the estimate and drove the car home. I decided to tackle the repairs myself. After draining and filtering the transmission fluid I discovered that the fluid did not have any metal in it. It did smell burned and the quantity was a little over a quart low. After draining and refilling the transmission fluid 3 times and bringing it to operating temperature each time it worked great. No more slipping or warnings. I replaced the rear brakes and when I went to change the front brakes I discovered the pads had more than 50% wear left so I did not replace them. The car is running and driving like it always has. My complaint is that GB Ford was more interested in up-selling than focusing on the transmission. Maybe they aren't willing to deal with repairing transmissions that might or might not have anything wrong with them other than needing a fluid flush. Beware of up-sales.
