We went off our route a bit to get here for lunch as we all enjoy breweries and distilleries. We arrive and were greeted and seated quickly by smiling folks behind the bar. They have a beautiful still and the distillery and brewery equipment are all on display alongside the restaurant and bar. Fairly typical small town bar & grill layout. On this day, we ordered at the bar. I'm not sure if that's always the case. We got a variety of entrees and all six of us liked our meals. Tri-tip steak sandwich, French Dip, tacos, fish and chips, and I got frog legs and deviled eggs from the apps menu. Everything was tasty. However, they only had 3 of their own beers on tap and no tastings available of their spirits. Said their brewer and distiller hadn't been in for quite awhile so production was behind. I wish them well as they work thru their absences and ailments. The two beers I tried, a porter and a schwarzbier, were ok. I'm usually not so picky, but this server pushed all the wrong buttons. Looking over previous reviews, I agree when Anonymous said, "The service is poor here. The owner needs to do better when it comes to service." My wife and I have been here six or seven times and have noticed the service has been steadily going downhill. This place was empty, and the server behind the bar was accommodating when there wasn't anything more pressing, like answering the phone. Our party of four ordered four entrees, two appetizers, and some beer and sodas. My beer flight and my wife's beer came out lukewarm. When the appetizers came out with the meal, the server told me that if I wanted the appetizers before the entrees, I should have told her when I placed the order. (She didn't bother to ask when I wanted them.) She doesn't seem to understand that an appetizer is a dish of food served before the main course of a meal to stimulate one's appetite. First time having frog legs and they were absolutely delicious! Kinda pricey $18.00 for 6 single legs. They were fantastic though and I would totally buy them again. My most favorite thing on the menu was the short rib pot pie but it's no longer on the menu. I was totally looking forward to it. I asked the bartender and also the owner and they said it was a seasonal item I figured early January when it's raining and freezing outside would be the perfect season for it, the bartender shrugged his shoulders and the owner didn't really have an answer. But I found it funny they have the peach flatbread in the dead of winter, not being in season. Lol. I did order the peach flatbread and it was spicy and delicious! This is my third visit to Lake Bottom. I walked in thrilled to see the Sweet Melissa Amber still on tap. Yay for me ! My boyfriend had the Koopa Troopa. We decided on the Chicharrones as an appetizer. They were sooo good. Onto our second round of beers we sampled a couple of other brews before ordering. They do charge for the tasters but it's a hefty pour. The Tule Fog and Willie's Revenge for me. Both Ambers, they had hints of citrus which sounds good but I choose to stick with Melissa and even purchased some to take home with me. They have kept well which reminds me I've got half a can left that's dying to get down into my belly. One of the owners even treated us to a sample of some cold sliders that may be on the menu for the summer. They'd be great for a hot summer day. Walk up and order then they bring it out to you, liquor served as well, bathrooms were clean, music went between Spanish and rock. Cool vibes all around. This place has been on my to-do list for a while.. For staff appreciation we this appreciation we decided to get lunch here. I was able to call in my order. One big drawback is it took longer than the estimated time period I ordered a beer battered chicken Burger.I requested pesto sauce on the Burger with a side of garlic aoil and a side of ranch. Unfortunately those instructions were Forgotten. I received my chicken Burger with a small is small amount of pesto sauce and no garlic sauce. I must say the chicken was battered and seasoned very well. I also had a side salad which was OK perit's us OK. All of the sauces fell his sauces fell over and opened due to the lids not fitting properly. Other than that I think I would try them again. This place deserves 6 stars for flavor, service, and ambiance! Our waitress Kelsie made our teen feel cared for as she helped find an allergry friendly meal...she got to eat with confidence that she wouldn't have an allergic reaction. Kelsie talked to the chef and even brought out ingredients for us to double check. My dairy allergy daughter had a delicious steak and fries....literally was hog heaven! The rest of us omnivores shared bites of our Grilled Peach Salad, Vito Flatbread Pizza, Steak Sandwich, Cheeseburger, and homemade potato chips. Every bite was worth the calories! Lake Bottom made us slow down! This is a local place and the locals seem to love it. We had a gift card and decided to head over from Fresno on a Saturday early afternoon. They were only serving breakfast which ended up fine. Service was slow but the vibe matched the service. We test tasted some of the local beers. There are some pretty darn good local ones. We preferred the dark brews. We ordered omelets and man - these were excellent. Huge portions and fresh. The price was also great. We obviously stood out but were made to feel at home. Myself and five other girlfriends came to Lake Bottom Brewery Distillery for lunch. Arrived at noon on a Tuesday, found ourselves a table and a fellow brought us menus within the first few minutes. Took our drink order, which I asked for a margarita and half hour Later I still didn't have it so I had to ask for it again and received it fairly quickly. About 35 minutes in the two of us that ordered soup got our soup. 4 of us got our main course (burgers & sandwich) after 45 minutes. My friends that ordered salad and fried zucchini waited ONE HOUR for their food.... I will say that my grilled cheese sandwich was very very good. But I will never come back to this restaurant again. Finally had the chance to try out this spot. We arrived just as the place opened for the day. We were immediately greeted by a worker and chose to sit at the bar. There are multiple tables and TV's but we were wanting to try their craft, locally brewed beer. Paul tended to us at the bar and took his time answering all of our questions and made suggestions based on what we were looking for. I like ambers so he suggested the Sweet Melissa. I tried Sweet Melissa it was crisp and refreshing. The perfect Amber beer in my opinion. My husband tried the Tule Fog and really enjoyed it. Paul was generous enough to suggest a sample of their "moon shine." We sampled the lemon and the strawberry and they were both amazing. We wanted to try some food so we opted for an appetizer. We tried the peach habañero wings, they were cooked to the bone and had a good texture. If you want something spicy though these wings are not going to give you that. They have a full bar and a full food menu which is really nice as most breweries don't offer food. They have growlers to go and the atmosphere is chill. They have great wings! We have friends that enjoy beer. This is the place to take them too. They have great pub food. Their servings have gotten a little smaller since opening but that's not surprising ( growing pains). Some of the cocktails are great and others are mediocre, it truly depends on your palate. WARNING: pay attention to your bill. We usually don't because we enjoy entertaining guests. However, we have been charged for bottles of wine when only glasses were ordered. There have have been other occasions when my husband just pays the bill but the charges DO NOT match the amount we ordered. Again we feel it is just growing pains, but it's a learning opportunity. We made reservations two weeks in advance. They knew we were traveling to and from the restaurant on the train and so were on a schedule. We were there from about 2:45-5:00 pm. We had a party of about 20 people. We waited around 45 minutes just for our first drink. And our food had to be given to us in to go boxes because it came out right when we had to leave. They had only two people waiting on tables, and from what we could see there were plenty more people just standing around in the back that should have been working/helping ?? I'm giving this place three stars mainly for the price to portion of food. Been here twice for lunch. The food was pretty good that's why I'm not giving it a lesser rating. First time I ordered the tri-tip sandwich. It comes on a small roll and three layers of meat. It also came with a side salad and I bought a coke. Total price was $23 w/taxes. Honestly I've had bigger tri-tip sandwiches at fundraisers for less. The second time I had the cobb salad. It came in a fairly good sized bowl but with 6 thin slices of chicken. I got a coke on the side and total price came out to $21 w/taxes. $16 for the salad and $3.50 for the coke. I know it's a salad and not a full meal but for that price it should come with an entire breast! It's a great looking place especially for being in Corcoran and I'm sure the beer is good but I probably won't be back here to eat. Maybe I'll stop by for happy hour. read more

The food was cold and the waitress forgot part of our order. The waitress was slow and didn't check on us to see if we needed anything. I heard from so many people about the poor service and how long it takes to get your food, however I can attest this is to be true from my own experience. We picked Lake Bottom in Corcoran based in part on reviews and in part on the menu of both food and their brews. Our singular disappointment: no more Bavarian Pretzels! Seriously though, we had fried chicken and waffles sliders, Mac and cheese balls, flat bread pizza (the Vito), and Tule Fog and Whitney Wheat beers. Everything was great! The pizza was delicious though the crust was a little different than a typical flatbread style: a bit softer. The Mac and cheese balls were, well, what would you expect: delicious. Crunchy outside, nicely cooked pasta and the right amount of cheese inside. The sliders: top of the chart!! Spicy honey glaze was great and the actual waffle was very tasty alone. Very good. Only regret is we got full and didn't try their various smoked meats. Next time. Buffalo cauliflower also very tasty (thanks Joe!) We also enjoyed the brews. Tule is a nice IPA: not so hoppy your face goes inside out and hoppy enough to have great flavor and go well with the food. The wheat was also tasty and very easy to drink. Best part of the experience: amazingly friendly staff at this family-run operation and the crowd was awesome! I went with my husband and mother in law since she lives in Corcoran and take her to a nice dinner. (I understand it's a brewery so I will definitely go back to try the tastings). We waited a very long time it took at least 45 min to have our food arrive. The staff weren't rude but they didn't try to ease the wait as we were their waiting quite a while with only about 4 other tables waiting. I ordered the vino flatbread which in my opinion was really good we also ordered the butterfly shrimp as an appetizer which arrived after the food and to my surprise didn't seem fresh it looked like something you order at a fast food restaurant. my husband was not happy about that.
