The area was beautiful but the cabin was dirty from the last people that stayed, there was no bedding provided just mattresses with stains on them, no towels or toilet paper. They charge a $75 per night fee with a two night min, may be worth it if u bring all your own stuff. read more

This campground has deteriorated over the last few years and is in dire need of renovation. Dilapidated buildings with water damage and mold in the cabins, unsafe and unusable boat docks/piers that have been damaged by storms. Cops are here on a regular basis for DV and drug related calls. The stores food handling practices are not worth going into... just don't eat anything that is prepared there. The new management and office workers are a complete joke. Steer clear of this place especially if you have kids. read more

The biggest problem with this place is the power is always going out! The breakers are running at way over capacity and it is actually a fire hazard! The doc is broken down. Old school swing set with broken swing. This park could be very cool if they put some money and work into it to update it. We ended up having to buy a $700 generator to make sure our dog stayed cool and our food didn't go bad. This place is straight garbage. I lived there for 2 years and it was nice at first and then went to the dump quickly after new ownership. The power there feels like Thomas eddison is still inventing it. When it's 90 plus outside it does not work and when it's freezing it does not work. The plumbing is like cousin Eddie dumped all of his sewerage right next to the dog run. If you want to camp there I'd say stay at the Walmart parking lot at least it's free. If you want to live there like I did you will be really disappointed. The owner is a joke. read more

This place was "ok" but the best sites are taken up by the summer residents, leaving us in the field. I wanted to have my dog play fetch in the water and the lady told me I could to the left of the boat dock, then told my husband we could not. Random bullshit like that. I would think the little store might carry a little air compressor to blow up the little water rings we had, but alas that too was lacking. Add to that, even though it was NOT the 4th of July, some yahoo decided to shoot off fireworks yet again....which is something these Washingtonians appear to do even though it is illegal. Can there be a place anywhere in this state that is sacred and accommodating for mid lifers who are not alcoholics, motorcycle riders or fireworks mongers? read more

This park is very run down. Sketchy folks roaming around, not sure if they were campers or not. Rules state no RVs over 10 years old "NO EXCEPTIONS"...except over half of them are. Bathrooms are disgusting. The camping spots are ridiculously close together and they don't bother to ask what size rig folks have to mitigate potential issues. Had a whopping 3 feet between my camper and a giant 5th wheel with multiple slides fully extended into my camping spot. (Yes you can use your camper with slides in rude people). Far too expensive for what it is. Also, don't go on a hot weekend, power grid cannot handle power load. read more

Use to come here a lot when I was younger. Seems to still be popular with the young crowd. This place gets packed on sunny days but not as much as it use to when parking was FREE! Still a good park if you can find a spot to lay your blanket down and if you brought charcoal they have provided grills!! Good luck carrying everything down and up the hill to and from the parking lot though tip: bring extra hands!! Its a work out. Great swimming area that very gradually ascends deeper so even not so strong swimmers can enjoy the water. There is also a partial sandy beach from the grass. Also a popular spot for water sports there is a boat launch to the left of the beach. read more

To start, I have been an RV'er for over three years and stayed in over 100 places throughout the country. This place by far has to be the worst value for the dollar. Would it suffice for one night in a pinch; sure it would. The gist of it is that I stayed here for two weeks out of desperation as nothing else was available for a two week stay in the middle of summer on short notice. The reason I got a spot under such conditions is obvious. After checking with every other private RV park and state/county park to find no availability, I figured this place would work to shorten my commuted to Everett for my annual military training. Basically if you own an RV newer than 1975 or one that doesn't have the roof falling in, you will be the center of attention. Not to be a snob, but I was literally biting my nails all day wondering if my trailer would be broken into and I would be a burglary victim while I was away. This place appears to host a large amount of transient types (the "resort" is next to a gas station/convenient mart and is adjacent to the Lake Goodwin community park). I'm not sure the person using heroin in the bathroom was a resident, but he very well could have been. My next concern was the blatant use of campfires despite the very evident county burn ban in effect. No enforcement whatsoever and I wouldn't dare call the fire marshal in fear of my trailer being vandalized in retaliation. I would however worry about myself being burned down in the middle of the night since the grass and surrounding vegetation was a tinder box. This is assuming I could sleep with the noise after 10pm. Needless to say I stayed to get the most of my money out of my space and when I left three days early to recoup my sanity and informed my neighbors I was vacating. I told them they could "spread out" and use my spot since I paid over $80 for the unused time and the office staff person stated if they put a tent or similar shelter on it they would be charged. Nothing like charging twice for a space 12' wide. I mean who would want to put out an awning without it hitting the neighbor's slide out anyway. Bottom line and my humble opinion based on my many other stays at RV parks is they need to invest some of the overcharging they subject their clients to into improvements. Perhaps a shower with less fungus or a toilet with less feces on it would be a start. Research other places before staying here and see if the Wal-mart lot has any available space. I was in the field and not one of the coveted full hookup sites with sewer connection so I may have a skewed perception. Just my two-cents and if you're opposed to paying for showers after paying for an overpriced space, you've been warned. read more

My family and I stayed at Lake Goodwin for a month or two. We really enjoyed our time on the lake. Free wifi and cable. Great park within walking distance, and best of all... the lake! What could be better. We had some great neighbors who seemed to be there a little more permanently. There's a great area for the dogs to run, but, outside of the dog park they are to be leashed. (No problem for us.) There are a few washer and dryers on site, nothing fancy, but it gets the job done. The store attached to the park was great. I could easily pick up milk, butter, bread etc. It's more of a convenience store than an RV supply. However they do offer a variety of supplies- anyways, the wifi worked great, and the staff was really helpful. The lake access is available to residents only- so it's not super crowded in the Summer like the public access areas are. I would recommend this place to friends, and we would definitely stay here again! *We were even able to see the Aurora Borealis from Lake Goodwin! read more

Horrible! We Were locked out the first night. We had to get a hotel. When we went back the next day to see if they would refund 1 night the lady running it (not the owner) was rude. When we told her that the key didn't work she responded, " How is that my problem"? I asked to switch the gate key and she argued with me on that. Then she told us that her gate key doesn't work half the time. She stated that we would have to talk to the owners about the refund. The owners were never there! read more

Resident for over a year, unfortunately manager of 8 years passed away suddenly. The owner came in fired almost everyone and have termination of tenancy to at least 4 sites some head been living the for over 4 years. I personally was accused of not paying rent from January to August ( and apparently I was stupid enough to be bragging about it. ) When I went to discuss the situation with a rent statement I was handed it was insinuated that I was lying. I was yelled and screamed at and told to get the f*ck out of her (the new manager) office and as I was leaving I told he4she was a bitch I was then called a f*cking c*nt. When I then tried to approach the owner Karen Ryan via phone it again was insinuated that I was lying. I then advised Ms Ryan of the new manager's calling me distrustful names I was told ok but I doubt it the next day I was presented with termination of tenancy papers giving me 3 days to remove my items on the second of the 3 dais I went to remove the rest of my stitch the management jag cleanest my lot and have the rest of my items to them read more
