I got my food to go. It was ok. I had chicken salad sandwich that had bacon and cranberries. It was interesting. I got fried okra as my side and it was bland. The place is very well lit, spacious seating with comfortable chairs and booths, Decore..well I find it Great, one side wall has wall climbing figures, the other, more of a mosaic Decoration which is very well Done, gives the atmosphere that comfortable relaxed pleasant feeling. Service was fast, pleasant and left you wanting nothing, they were On Top Of their Game Here, smiles and taking orders for the meal fast and correctly is a Big Bonus in this day and age of hustle and fumble , If I wasn't an old man I'd remember Names.lol. I came for lunch with co workers. Cute restaurant and a sweet waitress. She was very good and attentive. The fool was great! Me and one co worker got the chicken salad sandwich and I t was as good as the other reviews said. Others at my table got the Buffalo chicken wrap and they loved it as well. Our first time at LHC. Amazing breakfast! The 3 of us had a hard time deciding what to get. The menu has a lot of great options. 2 of us got the Florentine omelet and the other the Bacardo omelet. They were delicious! The regular pancakes are off the charts. The smoked grits were a hit as well. Overall good price, amazing food and so glad we have this little gem in our neighborhood. This is without question the best breakfast in Dallas. So many options on the menu and they all have exceeded my wife and I's expectations! Servers are also so attentive and nice, just all around phenomenal people to spend breakfast with. The ambiance is peaceful and relaxing. On top of all of this, the price point is amazing - you get so much GOOD food for the money. One thing you absolutely have to try is Bridget's cappuccino. First and foremost this is how customer service should work! We've been here twice this week and all of the servers, including the ones not waiting on us were observant and ready to help either fill a cup of coffee or take our check. Now for the food...it's pretty good. We've tried the basic breakfast, the bowls and pancakes and I would order it all again. The portions are also generous making it easy to split a meal if you'd like. This is a great breakfast place. read more

The food was amazing. The portion size I felt was very generous for their price point. Their menus options were endless. It's a place you can take the whole family to, even the super picky eaters. There will be something on the menu they will enjoy. Service was great especially since I got there an hour before closing. The server was super attentive and explained the menu to me. Not really feeling the hype. My food was about as bland as you could get. Not even Cholula could save it from drowning in the flavorless pits of breakfast. But the biscuit wasn't bad! Service was great and friendly. We were seated quickly and our food came even faster. Like way too fast.... Price was too much for what you truly get. read more

We ate here for the first time today and was thoroughly impressed! Our order was to go and the timing was quick which sometimes makes you wonder how fresh it is. Cheap low quality breakfast. Good for families. Wanted to like this neighborhood spot but in all honesty, the food is bad. Gave it two try's and both bad. Burned eggs, soggy avocado toast, cold hash browns, no seasoning, cheap store bought ingredients (biscuits, pancakes fruit). This is not a place that feels like you are paying to eat out. This taste like you quickly threw together what you have laying around at home. Good if you need a cheap way to feed the kids. Not if you're looking for a good breakfast spot. read more

I ordered the eggs benedict with bacon and avocado. There was no bacon other than crumbles on top. There was basically little avocado as well. Just a little piece on the side of the plate. I was extremely disappointed. I also ordered grilled onions on my grits and I got a tiny little half a teaspoon, like a measuring half a teaspoon. I could have counted the meager shreds. And for that they charged me an extra 50 cents. They should be ashamed. It would appear that the quality has gone downhill. I won't be back. I had the freshly made country fried steak was very tender and yummy. Side of pancakes was much larger than most cafe's and could have been the meal by itself. Ended up taking them to go. Staff was nice and very quick. Price was higher than expected. Priced similar to something like Snooze vs Cindy's or Norma's. Overall the place is clean and more modern than most greasy spoon cafe's. Went back a couple weeks later with the family and got a hash brown skillet scramble bowl. It was smaller than I hoped but it was delicious. First time here. Service is fast and friendly! Coffee is super strong and yummy. A place for family, brunch with your friends, or a great lunch spot too! We saw people with mimosas and they looked amazing but we were 2 coffees in already. Had to ask what brand coffee they used and it's Italian! Breakfast tacos are so filling and the stuffed French toast is something I will recommend to anyone. My boyfriend doesn't eat red meat and was so satisfied with the apple chicken sausage. I don't normally leave reviews but this place went above my expectations. Based on our waitress's recommendation, I had the Florentine Omelet and my bf got the Migas (it was all delicious!). The regular coffee was good (I'm picky), even the macchiato caramel was refreshing and not too sweet. The butter on my toast was light (I hate it when places over butter and toast comes out almost soggy), the hash browns didn't even need seasoning. The black beans were well seasoned with garlic and not dry. The only recommendation I would have for the restaurant is to add more cheese to the cheesy grits. We asked for extra so no big deal but make sure to ask if you like it cheesy. I have NO idea why this place isn't more popular but the price, customer service and food was well worth it. I'm definitely coming back. I would have added pics but I inhaled it before I could...you can't fault me...it was good. My bf also agrees! He has a meat baby in his tummy! read more

Lucky for us we came just before the church crowd arrived. Very short wait on a sunday. Even with people coming in nonstop they were able to flip tables quickly even seating a party of 12. French toast was excellent. Thick cut challah bread. Hashbrowns were slightly dry. Bacon was small but cooked well with good flavor. Very quaint dining setting, very open and "airy". Friendly staff. I calmly explained that the app showed those items as included with the sandwich. Instead of resolving the situation professionally, she told me she needed to call the owner. She then had me step aside while she helped three other customers, leaving me waiting awkwardly off to the side. When the owner finally called her back, she spoke to him loudly (almost argumentatively) about me being there and "claiming" the sandwiches came with chips and potato salad. It was embarrassing because other customers could clearly hear what was happening. Ultimately, I was told the owner said the sandwiches did not come with those sides. At that point, I just took my sandwiches and left. The entire situation felt uncomfortable and unnecessary. If there was a mix-up with the app, that isn't the customer's fault. Good customer service would have been to honor what was displayed in the app and clarify the issue internally afterward. Instead, I left feeling frustrated and embarrassed. Service was quick and delightful. If there's any issues, is that this place is on the pricier side.
