I ordered mine on pressed focaccia bread and everything from the juicy crispy chicken to the parmesan cheese and toppings was top notch. Each of the flavors and textures played so well together that it's hard to stop eating after taking the first bite. Came on a Monday around 1pm and there was no line. Inside the shop was a classic deli where you order at the counter and then browse the various goods/merch while you wait. Service was fast and the sandwiches came out within 5 minutes of ordering. There are a couple picnic tables outside to sit and eat but other than that, mostly a to-go place. First timers: get the Uncle Primo's, you won't regret it!

I got half an uncle primos chicken cutlet sandwich ($11). It was a lot of food and was loaded with chicken! Even just the half sandwich was too much for me to eat at once. While it was tasty, I did feel like it was missing something, and personally didn't find it to be worth the wait. But if the line were shorter in the future I'd come back and try other yummies from the menu.

Service was quick and delightful. I felt embraced and a part of the town immediately thanks to the hospitality of the Nosh team. We all had bacon cheese burgers - all excellent! Burgers were cooked perfectly and juicy! The homemade chips were a nice surprise and were fantastic dipping in some ranch dressing. All in all a solid visit, perfect menu variety, and a fun and welcoming environment....check it out!

They answered our questions and provided recommendations upon request. We had a large group, so it was taking a while for all of the food to be ready. I decided to just get a raspberry white chocolate scone and a greena colada so that I didn't have to wait a very long time to eat. We enjoyed sitting upstairs where we could all sit together and watch the scenery while eating. The kids loved the space, and it also provided us with some privacy for our birthday celebration. The scone was very good. I was a bit disappointed with the smoothie, though. I was expecting it to be flavorful and naturally sweet due to the mangoes and pineapple as well as the honey that was supposed to be added, but it was quite bland and not flavorful at all. Everyone else seemed to have enjoyed their food.

Their mimita fries are also very good - seasoned well, more like a cross between thick wedges and curly fries. I haven't had their coffee or drinks. Cute space - unfortunately typically empty. Okay service. Check this place out - it's a bummer to see this particular space in Golden Belt not popping!

19FiftyOne is a brand new concept restaurant in Golden Belt (where J Lights used to be). I was a…read morehuge fan of J Lights and having more options for food in the Golden Belt campus, so I am very excited for this place and really want it to succeed. So far, they haven't had a "grand opening" and it seems like most business either comes from people working in Golden Belt or people ordering from Hi Wire. I know they were initially rolling out very slowly and they seem to add more items to the menu every couple of months. The name comes from the year that Ethiopia participated in the Korean War, and represents a fusion of Ethiopian and Korean foods from the chefs of Gorsha and the former Kaffienate coffee shop downtown. (I will admit that I don't love the name with the numbers and letters written out as I have a hard time finding it when searching for the menu or social handles). The menu started with mostly African influences but slowly has started adding more Asian dishes as well. The space looks very similar to how J Lights looked but they have also changed enough that it feels different. They still have the large fridges, some of which are filled with various beverages. I do hope that they will offer grab-and-go selections and a micro-bottle shop like JLights had. Most people get their food to go but I could see how it could have a good vibe for studying. The staff is also very friendly and eager to answer any questions. They do serve breakfast which is really great! The coffee is delicious and strong (which is great since there aren't other coffee options in Golden Belt). They also have breakfast sandwiches that are very large-- I took one back to my office and I will say that it was hard to eat at my desk. As far as other menu items I am impressed with the price for the portions (and I would love to see them do a lunch special similar to Cugino Forno next door). The fries are delicious (I have no idea how they get the to spiral) and I really like the spices in the ketchup. The wings are also really good, especially the Korean and mango-berbere flavors. They just updated their menu with new sandwiches and salads and I the chicken bulgogi sandwich is up there with Eascut for my favorite chicken sandwich in Durham! This place has huge potential and I hope the continue to expand their menu and other offerings (would love to see some cocktails as well!) Right now this is a hidden gem but I don't expect that will last long.

The frittata I had did the trick but I really enjoyed the follow up items of the biscuit and the polenta lime cookies with my coffee afterwards as well. Very helpful and friendly service. The Deets: I looked on my trusty Yelp app to see about a good place to catch breakfast before going to the Durham Amtrak station to start a Saturday of adventure with some friends. I found Alimentari at Mothers & Sons and saw that their weekend brunch started at 9am, perfect. I had experienced a wonderful dinner at the main Mothers & Sons right next door to Alimentari so I had a good vibe coming into trying it out. The outside is pretty nondescript except Mothers & Sons on the windows. Upon entering, Alimentari gives a great casual but nice feel as a combination cafe and bistro type impression. I was greeted quickly and cheerfully with water and menus as the server took my drink order to start. I decided on this visit to go with the frittata with prosciutto, caramelized onions, and Caciocavallo cheese. I liked this choice a lot, perfect portion and delicious but I wish I had more of the prosciutto flavor coming through. Throughout this meal, my servers were very positive, helpful, and always made sure I had what I needed. I decided to investigate the pastries items I saw on their bar. There are pinwheels they have on a plate they offer as a free treat, I sampled one and liked it a lot. The large cookies under the glass cake cover caught my eye. My servers described the polenta and lime cookies that were one of the selections and I had to go with those with some coffee, as well as trying one of their plain biscuits from the menu. The biscuit was large, still warm, and baked perfection (not overbaked or underdone). I would not call it a strictly "Southern style biscuit" but it was delicious and I think I would love one here with sausage and egg on future visits. I could have done with less salt on the top though, again a small thing to me. The polenta and lime cookies were a great surprise, I enjoyed these a lot with my coffee and so glad I tried them...very soft and flavorful with just a hint of crunch here and there from the polenta. I recommend them to round off your brunch experience here. I'd say 4.5 stars for food but the great service I received while here rounds them up to an even 5 stars, good breakfast/brunch stop!
