The vibe for a hotel bar is wonderful; cozy, leather filled, low lights. A good spot for a work conference evening drink but not for a stop out on the town. No festive decor for the season. Prices are a bit inflated but the staff is kind and quick to check in. If you're in the hotel, it is convenient and suave. I popped into the Omni Hotel to use their Starbucks -- and found this fantastic bar and lounge, Whisky and Rye. Aptly named, their Old Fashioned was superb. The ambiance was purely country, and the music was pure country heaven. How fortunate to have needed a restroom break and find this upscale watering hole with sports on big screens and pool table! I am in town for a business trip staying at the Omni hotel. Whiskey and rye is located at the hotel, so the convenience was by far the most appealing factor on where to grab a light bite and cocktail after walking all day touring Fort Worth. The first day I tried the chicken poblano soup, and dr. pepper Al La mode. This was the best, and I didn't get a picture before finishing them off. I would definitely recommend and have it again if I am back here. Second day chips and trio with crème brûlée. The servers were very attentive, and gave great recommendations. I was staying at the Omni Fort Worth hotel and found this to be a great place to connect with coworkers and friends over a glass of wine, beer, or cocktail. They do also offer food, but I did not order anything off their menu although it does look like a few menu items are shared with the hotel restaurant as well. I ordered the house Pinot Grigio and it was very drinkable. They also made some of the people I was with a custom St. Patrick's Day shot that was bright green. Fun times! This bar offers seated service and you can also order directly at the bar. Restroom are located directly across the hall and the lighting is dim and ambient for a bar atmosphere. Located inside of the Omni hotel, it's a great spot for a night cap during the hotel stay. Bar seating as well as pliah chairs or high tables are available. There is also a pool table in the back. The stars of the show were definitely the Chicken Poblano Soup and the Rock Star Martini. Perfect options to wrap up a day of travel. The soup is served in a nice little cauldron like bowl and topped with shredded cheese. It has a nice subtle heat that not to overpowering but compliments the flavors. The martini is light and freshing as the ingredients flow so well in the cocktail. read more

Went to watch Super Bowl 2024. Pretty disappointed, see photos. Furniture with stuffing exposed, food and trash on the floors and the game was projected on a brick wall! Thank goodness for the TV's. Plus we noticed a 20% charge on our bill. When asked the server said it was the tip. That's fine but we felt it was sneaky. Since I was staying at the Omni hotel where this is located my boyfriend and I decided to have dinner downstairs after a long day of traveling. The ambiance was great with a classy casual bar vibe. They had ample seating in very comfortable chairs with plenty of tables. There is also bar seating available. Overall I really enjoyed the look of the restaurant/bar and found it really cozy while still maintaining the upscale feel. I had a mimosa 75 as I was looking for something fruity but light for the evening. It was delicious and was served with a large orange garnish. My boyfriend and I started off with the brisket chips and queso and it was delicious. The chips were perfectly salted and I was impressed with the thickness of the queso. He had the brisket sandwich and I had the W&R burger. My burger wasn't cooked to my likening but it was still very tasty. I just wasn't able to eat all of it due to it being undercooked. I had a large garden salad and it was delicious. I really enjoyed the citrus vinaigrette it was paired with. My boyfriend really enjoyed how they had multiple tvs playing football during bowl season. He had no problem finding a seat to watch the game while we were waiting for our food. The waitress was friendly and helpful when I asked about local recommendations while we were in town. Not related to the experience but I think the boots the waitresses were wearing were a really cute touch to the western feel. read more

Awesome place to enjoy good food and watch sports. This restaurant is inside the Omni Forth Worth hotel and it has a nice decor with servers that wear cowboy boots. We started with the steak nachos and these were soooooo delicious. They were served hot with lots of melted cheese, topped with jalapenos and a good amount of well seasoned grilled steak. They call the appetizers shareables on the menu which is such a cute name. More cuteness...the sandwiches are called handhelds. We had the buffalo chicken served with fries. The chicken breast was huge and coated with a scrumptious sauce and some ranch on the side to help cool things down. The fries were very good and were so hot we had to blow on them to start eating. I cannot remember that happening in forever! I ordered a roasted turkey sandwich with a side salad. The turkey was very fresh with a large portion turkey and a lot of bacon. An additional flavorful add was a generous portion of avocado mayo on both sides of the bread. For both sandwiches, we only ate half and had the other halves the next day. This place is a must with the great food, good service and a vibrant atmosphere. read more

We needed a quick bite to eat, so we popped downstairs of our hotel for a quick meal. We had burgers (sans bun) and the cheese dip. The queso cheese dip was mediocre but not great. The burgers were okay, but not excellent. The service is what really killed it for us. Our server was rarely able to be found, different servers kept telling us different menu updates - it just didn't seem like anyone was in sync with one another. I can't say we'll be back, but if we are at this hotel again and in a pinch, we might give it another try. Oh well! read more

Strong drinks, great music and a truly pleasant experience. Though I'm not an avid bar patron I enjoy this spot. Comfortable seating with enough people to be full but not overwhelming. The musician brought a whole new joy to my Friday night. He played a vast selection of genres bring the crowd to a mellifluously harmony. Two cocktails in and I know I'm getting what I paid for. Though strong, the drinks maintain their lovely flavor. This is due to the bartenders that revere in their craft. If you're not one for the music televisions broad casting sports may be more to your liking and are readily available for your viewing pleasure. Two pool tables are at the front of the bar as well. This bar is conveniently located within the OMNI hotel. Since it is also located directly across the street from the convention center its often filled with business men during the day and early evenings. After about 8pm there is a change over in regards to patrons. Less business men and a younger crowd appears. They seem to enjoy the 2 pool tables and the Saturday nights live music. I recommend sitting at the bar for fast drink service. Drink service from a table takes an awful long time. Also, if you choose to dine here.. no matter the time of day or the amount of folks that are here, be prepare to wait.....the food time is incredible long... At first I thought it was a Texas thing, but its not, its just a Whiskey & Rye thing. I recommend you get the Buffalo Fries! Also, their sweet potato fries are really great too! I DO NOT recommend the ice cream sandwich cookie. Straight out of a package. It certainly wasn't a warm and gooey cookie with some great ice cream. (See photo) read more

What a great local bar located in the Omni Fort Worth Hotel. Complete with lots of large TV's, oversized leather chairs, complimentary pool tables and live music! Came here for cocktails almost every night during my stay, so many amazing drink options! I tried their Tiramisu Martini, (svedka vanilla vodka, amaretto disaronno, kahlua, cream, chocolate drizzled martini glass) the presentation alone was spectacular but the taste was even better. Whiskey was cool and strong :) Also lunch here, I recommend the EPICUREAN burger on a toasted pretzel bun ( added cheese and onions) The sweet potato waffle fries are so delicious (meal in them self). Friends raved over the BUFFALO & BLUE CHEESE WAFFLE FRIES ...crumbled blue cheese sauce, hot wing sauce! Live music was really good and not to loud that it overpowered the entire place. read more
