One minute you're punching through rapids, the next you're cruising those calm stretches at a steady clip, maybe 8 mph, just soaking it all in. And that's the beauty of it, you cover serious ground without sacrificing the experience. If you don't have 10 days to disappear into the canyon but still want to feel it in your bones, this is your move. Now listen, getting on the water in Grand Canyon isn't something you just wake up and decide to do. Permits, reservations, planning...this is high demand, bucket list territory. You do your homework, plan ahead, and you can make it happen. You wait till the last minute? Good luck. This isn't your local float trip. And then there's the part nobody really prepares you for. The canyon messes with you in a good way, mostly. I swear this is the second time I've felt like I saw Bigfoot out there. Not joking. Starts making you wonder, is it one Bigfoot, multiple, is he just pacing the canyon like he owns it? Add in a little déjà vu, the silence, the scale of it all, your mind starts wandering places you didn't expect. Daytime, it's raw. Sun beating down, heat cooking you alive, jumping into the river whether it looks crystal clear or straight up brown just to cool off. Nighttime, whole different world. Stars like you've never seen, Milky Way stretched across the sky, dead quiet except for the river and a crackling fire. Cold drink in hand, swapping stories, realizing you're sitting in one of the most unreal places on earth. But don't get it twisted, this place demands respect. The canyon is massive, and it'll remind you quick how small you are. People make it through just fine until they don't. Heat, terrain, isolation, it's not forgiving. There are spots out there where if something goes sideways, you're not just hiking your way out. That's part of what makes it real. End of the day, I'd do it again in a heartbeat. There's something about finishing a trip like this, grateful, a little humbled, maybe a little paranoid about Bigfoot, but knowing you just experienced something most people never will.

It was peaceful, relaxing, and a really nice way to spend a morning on the water. Manny is knowledgeable, friendly, fun, and easy to be around. He took the time to explain the fishing conditions, why we were targeting certain areas, and how to adjust based on what the fish were doing. We learned a lot more than just casting a line and I appreciated that. We caught several bass and crappie, which kept things exciting, and the half day went by quickly. We drove to the meeting location in a plaza where we were greeted and encouraged to use the restroom as the trip would be about 2 hours long. - we were able to get one jeep for a family of 4. -for children in car seats, they will require you to bring your own car seat to install onto the jeep. -you will drive about 30 mins to the Sonoran desert. -cruise and then photo opportunities once you get to the top. That takes about 45 mins and you'll be able to get out of the jeep to take pictures. Water is also provided as a courtesy. The kids had a great time.

We recently relocated to Arizona from another state and were very excited at the opportunity the new ESA program offers for homeschooling families (and others) in the state. Both of my girls love horses and riding so much and horseback riding lessons are not something our family could afford to do without the assistance of ESA funds. We did one lesson at Bein Performance Horses with Miss Kelly, and both of my daughters had such a good time. Miss Kelly was a wonderful and kind instructor and we were very pleased with the facility overall. When I requested to receive a copy of the facility's credentials in order to have our payment through ESA approved, the owner refused to provide it saying that she was not willing to provide credentials for the purpose of ESA funds (I spoke with the accounting manager on the phone and she was relaying the owner's response to me). It was not expounded upon as to why so I can't give more specifics to her reasons other than what I was told, which wasn't much. So while our girls may have had an opportunity to foster their love for equestrian disciplines, they instead are being excluded from the opportunity on the basis of the owner's opinions. Certainly she has the right to run her business how she chooses, but it is heartbreaking to me that my children are discriminated against in this way. The ironic thing is, we moved to Arizona partly because we thought that we'd be less discriminated against in our homeschool endeavors in this state than where we came from. I'm sure many families who can outright afford to send their children here will be blessed by the instructors' great care and knowledge, but for any families who were hoping to have their children attend here with the assistance of ESA funding, be warned that you and your children will likely not be welcomed by this facility. I want to add that before officially submitting this review, after speaking with the accounting person on the phone about this matter, I did attempt to email Bein Performance at the email listed on their website and it bounced back saying it was undeliverable. I also reached out via the contact form on their website and it said, "failed to submit". In one last effort to reach out, I messaged on their instagram account as well but no one ever looked at the message or responded. I wanted to give one last opportunity for the business to clarify their position before I wrote this, but all my attempts at communication were unsuccessful.
