It is one of the older marinas on the lake but the family who owns it is very nice. You can walk-in, call, or email and get a response back in a reasonable amount of time. The marina is on the West shore of the lake just north of what is known as Party Cove which makes it a popular place for party boaters to put their boats. Slips fees are reasonable when compared to some of the other offerings on the lake as some are higher and some are a little lower. In terms of amenities Lakeview has all the basics covered. The slips have water and metered electric. Trailer storage is available for slip customers for an extra fee. Each dock has a locking door with a key code that changes periodically for security. There is plenty of parking next to each boat house which makes it a short trip when loading up your boat for an outing on the lake. The main office also has a small ship store that has all the basics (fenders, lines, oil, etc) available at a very reasonable price. The fuel dock is full service and offers several grades of fuel. They also have a DIY pump-out station and an assortment of cold drinks available. Note/tip: Take cash or a credit card if your boat takes a lot of fuel. My debit card won't work on this dock when I make large fuel purchases.

The coffee pot has burned coffee from a prior guest on the bottom and looked dirty. Kitchen utensils are bare minimum. Not even a toaster. Note to self... bring paper plates and plastic utensils! The toilet in the laundry room flushes very slowly. The full size bed in the secondary bedroom was the most comfortable but still not a great mattress. When we got here all of the cabins had spiderwebs and cobwebs. I would have expected the decks to be swept or hosed down but the chairs, tables and grills were all dirty. (don't forget charcoal!) The staff is friendly and the French fries and onion rings in the restaurant were pretty good. The rest of the food mediocre but we were grateful it was there as I didn't want to use any of the kitchen supplies after seeing the bugs and cobwebs. I think I just expected too much. Had I know that it was VERY rustic, dated and brought my own cooked food and cleaning supplies I may give the third star. Maybe I'm just too bugie. ‍

Our server was super sweet, attentive, and was patient and answered all of my questions and I LOVED that she was a fellow foodie at heart. I tried their Make Your Own Mac & Cheese and it did not disappoint! The portion size was more than ample which means I have leftovers for tomorrow! There are booths and tables inside with a bar area as well as tables outside. Beautiful views of the marina complete the atmosphere. They helped him pull off the perfect proposal and even stayed open later to help him out when he hit traffic coming from Frisco and got there much later than he had planned. Everyone he talked to was so sweet and genuinely excited for him. The boat and the lake were so lovely and we got the most stunning photos with the sunset. We really appreciate everything Lone Star Marina did to make sure everything went smoothly and their customer service was amazing. The boat looked clean and so nice in every photo and we couldn't be happier with our experience with them and with their boat! We are so grateful to have such a positive experience and we will be able to cherish our memories from this day forever. Thank you Lone Star Marina! :)

Had to add buying more to the growing RV needs list. The park was well maintained. The trailheads have limited parking. We drove around until we found one on trail 9. There are 14 or more trails and they seem to create a loop. We hiked 3 miles and called it a day. The trails sometimes needed better signage. I liked the vast amount of picnic areas. This park is well off the main steers creating a quiet place to enjoy. I mean, I heard speed boats during our hike, but that didn't spoil my solitude.

They have really nice nearby cabins along the peninsula where we stayed.
