What a great family campground. We stumbled on Lake Siskiyou when ChatGPT recommended it for family camping. It truly checked that box and more. There is a general store, and a restaurant that are walking distance from all of the campsites. Down at the beach there is a taco bar, a beer garden, and in-lake obstacle course for the kids. They offer so much to do right onsite! That said there are certainly recommendations to make Lake Siskiyou a home run. 1. The bathrooms are nasty. Listen, it's camping - I'm not expecting the four seasons, but a little bit of money would go a long way. Repaint the entire facility. A simple coat of paint would make a huge difference. You also need to hire someone whose only job is rotating through every bathroom on the property all day long cleaning and restocking them. 2. The beach taco truck and beer garden hours - you are missing out on some serious revenue by not taking orders until 1pm during summer weekends. Kids wake up early camping. By 11, or the very minimum 12, you guys should already be grilling. Beer was even later. We left the beach at 3 on Saturday and they were just starting to setup. On Friday it was closed when we left at 4. I was just watching the $$$ go out the window. We loved our trip and look forward to going back! read more

I should have looked this place up before coming. It's filthy and not kept up well. The bathrooms are disgusting and the quiet hours aren't enforced. Large groups of kids come here during the summer and destroy the bathrooms. It's wetter outside of the showers than inside. I also have this mystery smell on my skin after swimming in the lake. Its a fun place and the lake with a view of Mt.Shasta is breathtaking. We stayed in the small marina cabin. Its small and yes there are bugs. The cabin is not for small kids or people who rub their hands along walls. None of the wood is finished or sanded so splinter heaven. It is dirty and stains around the walls. We loved staying a cabin here, we have always done tent sites before so even though the price is more than I think it should be for the condition of the place we still preferred a cabin over the campsites. It is a bit over priced in my opinion. A small bundle of wood was $15. The stay per night was $187 plus an extra $10 for our 11yr old and $5 for a dog so a total was $368-ish for two nights. They do charge for anyone over 10yrs to stay at the cabins even though the cabins say the hold 4-6people. They charge for more than two people. read more

Our annual visit for the past three years. Writing another review due to the fact the Yelp listing has changed. Previously under Reynolds Resorts. Check-In is quite simple and fast. You'll receive the warning of bears but have not seen one yet. Continue to practice prevention is highly recommended. Many things to do such as fishing, kayaking, swimming, and a 7 mile hike around the lake. Family oriented campground. To avoid crowds reserve between Sunday to Thursday. Tent or RV full/partial hook-ups are available. Campground is ridiculously large with so many sites available. Our stay was detoxing and an absolute glamping experience. I would not give Lake Siskiyou Camp RV Resort a very good review based on my recent experience. On Wednesday, July 29, 2026, one of their employees backed into my vehicle and dented my bumper. I immediately spoke with a staff member at the resort, who told me that I would be provided with the insurance information and a copy of the accident report by email. Unfortunately, that never happened. Despite sending multiple emails and making phone calls, I have received no response. My attempts to get the information needed to have my vehicle repaired have essentially been ignored. At this point, I have had to contact the sheriff's department and the resort's corporate office simply to try to get someone to address the situation. Accidents can happen, and I understand that. What is extremely disappointing is the lack of communication and follow-through afterward. I expected the resort to take responsibility for helping resolve an accident involving one of their employees, but instead I have been left having to chase them down for basic information. Based on how this situation has been handled, I cannot recommend Lake Siskiyou Camp RV Resort. I hope management will take this seriously and improve how they handle incidents and communicate with their customers. read more

We love it here and had a wonderful experience, leave all high expectations at home thinking to come here with perfect experience. The staff here is understaffed doing their absolute best that they can with a smile on their face to tend to you. I blame the bad campers that come along trashing the place and treating it like your home. Remember its only your home for a bit but that doesn't mean trash it and go home expecting someone else to clean it, their not your momma! Hats off to the staff here even being overwhelmed and understaffed handled everything well. Hats off to the lady at the bait shop I think her name was Kathy absolute kind hearted person, the girl at the general store that needed to repeat herself to I dont know how many people that the ice cream machine was down and lastly the guy with the microphone at splashzone needing to be stern with groups not listening to his commands of getting off the water for the next group to be able to go. The guy needed to repeatedly asked the same group that times up to now leave and the next group cannot go until they get off, again bad campers not the staff. This review is specifically about the boat rental experience we've had at this resort. We don't have any experience with the camping or beach facilities. Lake Siskiyou is a treasure. It's a calm, smallish, swimmable lake at the base of Mount Shasta. We've been coming to this lake for many years to rent a patio boat for our small family (and dog). The customer service has always been top-notch from check-in to docking the boat after a few hours on the lake. We've always reserved in advance, usually for the July 4th weekend, and have had no trouble finding parking, getting help, or launching our boat from the dock. The dock crew is pleasant and friendly. The fact that they let us bring our dogs on the boat (for a fee) was a huge plus. They even have dog lifejackets, if that's your thing. Recent visit was upsetting. The staff that checked us in were extremely rude and so were the workers at the general store. The girl who gave us our ice-cream had the worst customer service. Additionally, the tent site was covered in trash when we arrived, the bathrooms were filthy and didn't have toilet paper stocked, the showers were HORRID, the outside dumpster was overflowing, there were no bear boxes and to top it off - the quiet hours DIDNT exist. The camp host and security don't enforce quiet time. We had campers howling every. Single. Night. It was ridiculous. For a "family" campsite, it was NOT family friendly. It felt like we were on spring break. I wouldn't recommend. The only thing nice about this location is the close proximity to the lake. read more

Price gouging rates at the end, Waters getting low!!! The place is ran by a bunch of people in trailers that live there and they are the most incompetent humans this year it has gone way down hill it's sad to see. The lady that works mid day Friday 2:50pm front pay entrance was clearly drunk slurring her words and talking weird walking around to all the cars pulling up then proceeded to put and exit sign in the middle of the exit lane " cars exiting had to go around into a pothole in the dirt" it was a hard watch...a lady 50 maybe 60 burnt skin tore up biker look. Dock workers need their boat license so they know the rules and laws. The staff doesn't enforce simple rules/laws that make the flow of traffic and people smooth. Camp rules out the window no quit hours because Securities too scared to enforce the rules THEY PUT IN PLACE. The restaurant is so gross we ended going up the street to the golf resorts has everything nice I wish it ran the lake not the trailer club. Right now it's a bunch of workers that don't care this place has so much potential. There's a kid with shaggy hair and a mustache drive a shitty golf cart he yelled at my grandma who can't hear he pulled up in his little cart like a pissed off toddler then seen us and took off it was weird as could be then he proceeded to mean mug everyone of our party every time he drove by us all weekend!!!but would stare at my 16 year old daughter he was a purv during our stay. If you try to get an RV section, they'll tell you they only have two spots but if you wanna pay an extra $35 you can pick your spot that are different from the two so basically they're holding the good spots for people who are willing to pay more so $90 for the pick of 2 spots and them saying "we're full but if you pay an additional $35 we have available spots you can pick. So if you have a camper it actually $125 a night unless you want a bad spot they give you because you won't pay the extra. This place is soooooooo not worth it's just go pay the day fee $3 then go look at the bathroom check out the drunks and decide if you want to stay.... I bet you'll never stay. read more

They have done a lot of things to improve the camp, however problems still remain. Last year they seemed unable to control campers that broke their rules. This year, with the camp less than half full, they put all campers on a loop, next to each other. One night, a group two sites away were noisy until well after midnight. The next night the family in a tent 15 feet away from mine had an unhappy child that cried most of the night. Not much sleep either night. When I asked why they don't spread the campers out so that there is more space between each camper, they replied that the computer assigns campsites. They didn't seem interested in changing it. :-( read more

Had a great time at Lake Sis! Our campsite was clean & quite large for 11 of us. The best part was that we didn't have any nearby neighbors! Showers & bathroom facilities are well kept & cleaned regularly. The staff were all friendly & security passed by about every hour. They don't have any bear boxes so we did have to leave our food out but fortunately no bears/coyotes broke in. The lake was nice & the 7pm movie nights are a cute touch -- just bring your own chairs because those seats are not comfortable. We'll definitely be coming back here to camp! read more

This was our 7th year in a row staying here. Lake Siskiyou is gorgeous. It's the area that keeps us coming back. Most definitely NOT the staff at the front kiosk. I've never experienced such rude, unprofessional and completely inept people as I did at the campground this week. It started two weeks before we came. I tried calling daily for almost a week to change our reservation. I left messages. I never got a response. We had friends pay the extra lock fee for their site only to get moved anyways and not be refunded the lock fee. This doesn't even begin to address the absolute CLUSTER that was trying to book for next year. We couldn't book online for whatever reason. So we tried for 5 days of our trip to get booked to no avail. One of the ladies finally wrote down our credit card numbers with the promise that she'd book us that night and destroy the paper with the credit card info on it. We never got confirmation. Calls have gone unanswered again while we've tried calling to find out if we've been booked and the credit card info destroyed as promised. All of this was problematic and off-putting but it says NOTHING of the gross way all of the women in the front kiosk treated guests. We were not the only guests with reservation issues and these women acted and treated people like a non stop problem. Rude, belittling, mean, and dismissive to name a few behaviors I witnessed and experienced. The management at this park sucks to say the least. The people running the reservations kiosk are equally as bad. The two stars is only representative of the good time we have with our friends and the beautiful views and lake. Lake Siskiyou Camp "Resort" DO BETTER!!! Also folks, don't bother asking for a map. Apparently they can't afford to print them so they tell you to go to the stop sign and take a left to get to your campsite. Almost every site in the park is left at one stop sign or another, so that's unhelpful! Someone please take over this park and return it to some kind of order!! People pay way too much to be treated like crap by these people running it now! read more

Would give them a 5 start review, but when we asked if kayaks were available to rent the next day, the booking agent said yes, so we booked an extra night. Then following day we went to rent kayaks at the beach location and they said it was closed. Disappointing. So I would go again, but wouldn't count on their kayak rentals being open. read more

I was truly conflicted on this review. I love the lake here it's beautiful! But you do have to find a secluded place to the side as the beach area is insanely packed! My one star review is due to the bathrooms. I was here for 4 days 3 nights and the bathrooms were not clean during that time. Great place for the family durring open season or for a quiet weekend durring off season.

First let me say the lake is beautiful! The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. There are not enough showers or bathrooms for the number of people they have jammed in. People were partying insanely loud well past quiet hours. To get to any bathroom from an RV site is a HIKE. The beach was so packed it looked like Miami during spring break. People were parking so close together and on the roads to a point where a 2 lane road barely has enough room for a single vehicle to drive down. The tent areas quite literally look like a tent city. The roads to the RV sites are unmarked and unpaved, so it's a guessing game on whether or not you are on the road. The turns in the RV area are so tight I watched a fifth wheel ask someone to move their jeep so he could make the first initial turn into the area. read more

We stayed here over the 4th of July weekend and let me tell you, NEVER AGAIN!! The bathrooms were deplorable. The showers left our group feeling even more dirty than we were before our showers. The bathroom/shower to camper ratio was waaayyy off. Plus, the campers around us were loud and extremely rude. No one observed the quiet hours with people partying into the early hours of the morning then the early risers were up with the sun blasting their music. There are no bear boxes so all of our food bins/ice chests had to be picked up and put into our vehicles every night. For as much money as we spent on this trip and how many people they pack into this campground they really need to make some upgrades and put in some bear boxes. The beach was so cute! We loved the blow up obstacle courses. The staff was a little rude when we went up to ask questions before they opened. But the girl who got us checked in and booked was incredible sweet and made the experience much better. The bathrooms were very clean, at least the ones next to our campsite. I have been camping here with multiple families for the last 9 years every summer and spent thousands of dollars at the grille store, boat dock and main store where you get ice and icecream. We have never been approached in such a disrespectful and unprofessional way until this camping trip. The security guy named cody woods needs to get proper training on how to interact with guests and learn how to deescalate situations. We already deal with the discrimination from the locals so we don't need it from the employees too! read more

Lake Siskiyou is a beautiful lake and the surrounding area is beautiful with all the trees. We stayed in a cabin and it definitely needs to be updated. We had some issues with our cabin but the maintenance man was so helpful. Brian fixed all the things that needed to be repaired. He was professional, thoughtful, and knowledgeable. On a scale of 1 to 5 I would give our experience a 1.5 at best. We stayed in cabin M1 near the boat ramp. Our front sliding glass door would not lock or latch I made 2 requests to have someone from maintenance to look at it but no one ever came. I ended up driving to town and buying a pair of pliers to bend the locking latch and make it work. Bedroom smoke detector kept buzzing it ended up being a dead battery. Also beware if you are taking a shower and someone flushes the toilet or turns on the cold water the shower doesn't have an anti-scalded valve so you can get burned by the hot water. Also yesterday the resort turned off the domestic water system we were without water for several hours. No one came by to warn us. We won't stay there again! read more

For starters, they charge an added extortion fee on top of $60 per night fee. If you don't pay the fee, they bump you to another site. The sites are mismanaged and mostly unimproved. The roads are full of potholes. With all the money they take in, they could certainly take care of the roads and campsites. The employee at the boat dock was extremely rude and was very unhelpful about boat mooring. We wanted to unload some equipment in the community area by the showers and told the parking area there was for employee vans, though the spaces remained empty the entire time. They are so rude here! They keep yelling at people on the beach. And we parked in the 15 minute loading zone and at 10 mins they yelled over the speaker they are towing us. They never filled the soap in the bathroom, our showers are so clogged, the bathroom door was held open with the trash can and I guess it shouldn't be like that? Idk but we got accused we did it. This was our 2nd stay at the resort, let me say I loved our stay last year, this year not so much. The best part of the resort is the lake. We go up with a group of about 50 people all in about 10 different camp sites. We range in age from our 70's to under a year. The teens and preteens enjoy the camping resort the most. They have the freedom to run wild and be kids. The lake it self is wonderful. Now what I didn't like. The lake gets real crowded this time of year. Almost seems like a miniature Venice Beach in LA . That is a very crowded meat rack.The trailer or RV sites are stacked in so close, your neighbors know when you sneeze! There is not a lot if any shade in some sites so choose carefully, My Wife and I, along with my son, his family and their dog, shared a tent site. There are no bear boxes in any of the sites, that I know of, and we had numerous bears every night! So in our case that meant loading numerous heavy coolers and dry boxes of food into a car at night and back out every morning. Our tent site had water and electricity, nice feature, I have to say some of the best water I have ever drunk: but our GFI circuit kept cutting out. When you sleep with a C-pac that is a problem. Let me say the restrooms were just short of disgusting, Mens and Womens. Last year, they were cleaned almost every day the cleaning crew seemed to spend about an hour every day or so. This year we arrived on a Sunday, there was feces on one of the two toilets, we complained to numerous people, nothing happened until Wednesday when I stopped one of the first cleaners we saw that week and I personally asked him to clean the toilet. Must say he cleand the toilet but the rest of the restrooms remained filthy our entire stay. I have to say, the folks that work there are very nice and helpful. But they are so understaffed, it's hard on them. I get its a resort and I get the object is profits but I feel they are price gouging. I must have spent close to $100.00 just on ice. I'm 70 years old and disabled it's not a friendly place for me. There is a hadicapped parking place right near the store, they don't want to miss out on your money, after that not very ADA compliant and/or friendly. To get to the lake is virtually impossible for mobility impaired people. Will I go back, thats a great question! I have reservations for next year, not sure I want to go again, We love the area, the views of Mt. Shasta are great. Mt Shasta City is wonderful! I think I might just stay in one of the great hotels in the area and pay the day fee to visit family, might even save some money that way! In closing will my family go back most likely. Perhaps because it was July 4 weekend it was overrun with people. Even so, the campsites are right on top of each other whether you're in a tent or a trailer. So loud late into the night and there is no security to enforce the 10 PM quiet hour. There's not many bathrooms and they are dirty and sometimes lacking supplies. Beautiful views of the mountain and the lake. Water in the lake is very clean. Can only recommend to go here if you're able to get the cabin right in front of the lake. Much quieter and more peaceful. otherwise it's not camping. It's communal living with hundreds of strangers. read more

$35 PER SITE to "lock" your site choice? What? Seems like bait and switch, false advertising and straight up extortion. We camp as a family $105 just to "lock" the sites together (otherwise their system will separate you) despite you already selecting the sites. Just ridiculous. Staff don't care. They've "done it for years and other resorts do too." Just seems like a swindling money grab to me. The two positives: beautiful lake and amazing soft serve in the store. read more

We stayed at lake siskiyou for three days, it's a nice lake, clean resort but we don't think we will return. They charge you extra for everything, we had guests for the afternoon and they charged them an extra fee and told them they had to be out by 5 pm. Every few minutes "the patrol" was driving around making sure everyone was behaving themselves. $75 fine for an unattended fire in the pit and I felt like they were just dying to catch someone to charge them with all the frequent patrols. Everyone is packed in like sardines and if you make a resv. And are assigned a certain spot they will give it to someone else if you don't buy the extra insurance. So if someone else buys insurance and wants your spot you paid for they will move you elsewhere. Personally I don't think thats right, we paid for that spot and we shouldn't have to fork out extra $$ to keep it. There are way nicer places to camp for less $$. We have heard it's super busy in the summer so if you are going to relax this isn't the place. I'm sure it's great for families with kids just not for the people who want any peace and quiet. read more
