They practiced good communication during the process with parts that were delayed due to the Christmas season. I will be returning with any transmission issues I have and would highly recommend. Honest, respectful, and good communication.... Best experience I've had with a shop. I have had many engine swaps, rebuilds and transmission replacements over the last 20 years as I've taken keeping up as a hobby. I've had my rounds a few shops. This one is getting my business every time.

I had my Ford Ranger automatic transmission rebuilt at Valley Transmission approximately 25K miles…read moreago and have now experienced multiple parts failures the most recent being the input speed sensor (the manual lever position sensor failed right after the rebuild was completed). I was informed by an employee at Valley Transmission that they had used Chinese parts to do the rebuild. For $3400 dollars I was expecting OEM parts so this came as a total surprise to me. As far as I can tell the work done by the Valley Transmission mechanic was solid but the Chinese parts used in the rebuild are of inferior manufacture and the warranty is expired so I am now left $3400 poorer with a nonfunctional vehicle. RESPONSE TO VALLEY TRANSMISSIONS RESPONSE: Sheryl, It doesn't matter where they were purchased from. I was informed by a Valley Transmission employee that they were Chinese manufactured parts. With multiple failures (one right after the rebuild) the parts used in the rebuild are clearly of inferior manufacture.

Traveling from OR to MI with truck/camper and arrived in Spokane Valley for our first night…read more Noticed an odd sound from engine of our 2004 Dodge Cummins and stopped at Dodge dealer first. They were too busy and didn't even have a tech listen but directed us across the street to Davis Diesel. They helped us immediately and the problem was solved. They took care of the repair on the spot and had us on the road in less than an hour. Excellent, friendly service!!!!

So my diesel broke down and this guy showed up in a truck. Fixed it. Real professional, real quick,…read moretightened some bolts, checked the fluids. Solid work. Then he asked me if I believed in the sound a wrench makes when nobody's holding it. I said no. He said "yet." He didn't charge me for the labor, only for the privilege of being diagnosed by the truck itself, which apparently has opinions now and communicates exclusively through check engine lights in Morse code. The invoice was written in torque specs but when I read it out loud it turned into a recipe for chili. I made the chili. It was incredible. Best chili of my life. The mechanic was gone by then but his hat was still there, spinning slowly on the hood, humming the intro to a song that doesn't exist yet. My truck runs great now. It also refers to itself as "we." When I turn the key it doesn't start the engine, it starts a conversation. Yesterday it asked me about my childhood. I told it about the dog we had growing up and it got quiet and idled rough for a minute like it was thinking. 10/10 would recommend. My neighbor's diesel is fine but he's calling this guy anyway just to see what happens. He came back speaking fluent hydraulic fluid and owns three more trucks than he did this morning, none of which he remembers buying. Anyway the sun's a little louder today. Diesel does that.
