Stopped here on visit to Cascade. Food and service was excellent. Jalapeño poppers, onion rings, grilled bacon and cheese sandwich were very tasty. (Irish coffee is hard to beat also). If you are nearby and hungry then this is the place to go!!!! read more

I stopped by on my road trip from Boise to up North. The views of the lake are beautiful. The food is regular pub food and good enough for me. They have a mini bar. The place is perfect for what it is. I ordered a tri-tip sandwich with side salad and it was not bad at all. I didn't come here with much expectations. Main reason was for the lake views and outside seating. It was perfect. The price was good and waitress was very nice. read more

DIRTY floors, FLIES everywhere! Just because is not a fancy restaurant, doesn't mean it has to be this way. Came in for steak, glad I didn't order it, the reviews backed up my doubts of it been "good". Don't order the "jumbo" shrimp meal, what a JOKE! 5 small ones. 2 waitresses, who didn't check on us. If I have to get your attention 3 times, while you make sure to check on the costumers that were a table over, forget it! there goes your tip. I wanted to eat at a restaurant with a nice view of the lake. I was told that the food was pretty good. I was unfortunately disappointed. We wanted to sit outside on the beautiful large deck but we were disgusted that a couple of people sitting at the table close to us were smoking. I would rather enjoy my food instead of smelling someone's cigarette smoke. We decided to move inside after telling the waitress our displeasure. She was very nice and very efficient. We ordered the special which was a pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and a side of fries. The pulled pork unfortunately was less than desirable. It was mushy as if there was some kind of filler added to the meat like a thickener. The bun was very good and so was the slaw and fries. I usually do not complain to the wait staff but she did ask me for my opinion. She told me that they are trying a couple of different kinds of pulled pork. I'm sorry but if you are a good cook/chef you should know what tastes good and what doesn't. I don't think I will visit this place again unless they make a couple of big changes such as no smoking on the deck when food is being served and improving the menu. On a final note the sign on the roof stated that it was a steakhouse but when we saw the menu it was a bar and grill, no steak on the menu just burgers and chicken sandwiches.. read more

Was super excited to come back and eat here while I'm in cascade because their food is delicious and service is always great. Was super disappointed when I saw the cooks weren't wearing masks nor most of the employees. If they were wearing a mask they wore it under their nose. This is a great place to eat, whether you're on the patio soaking up some sun or grabbing a seat inside. There's always a beautiful view of the lake and exceptional service. I've eaten here several times, and whether I order a burger or melt with a side of tots or a cup of soup, it's been delicious. The milkshakes are also spectacular, thick and creamy with whip on top. Everything seems to be homemade with a wide variety of food even Chinese bowls. I ate there 3 time last week and the reason I'll give it 3 stars is the first night they forgot my soup and the steak was just ok and the third time the steak was way over cooked. My party of three ordered lunch with fries. The burger was OK. The fries were old, cold and chewy. The staff was unconcerned.

Already wrote a review earlier. BUT IT ONLY GOT WORSE. 0 STARS!! We waited finally got our food after my daughter was scolded at. Food was cold. Then my husband's food was forgotten. Daughter and I finished our food and husband STILL had no food. We were waiting for our check, and no one came. So we go to the front to see if we can pay and we assume one of the owners? Yelled at us and told us to get out of the way. We chose to walk out. The locals outside of the business asked why we were upset so we explained the situation and they called us flat landers and told us to go f ourselves. Came in for a table of 6, they didn't have room, no problem we went elsewhere, but the hostess quite possibly the rudest person we've ever dealt with. When we asked for a table for 6, we were laughed at. She went to check anyway but came back and said no room so "we can either stand there or get out". Wouldn't go back based on her. Excellent Ribeye steak, cooked perfectly. We had a reservation for an hour before closing on the 4th of July. When we arrived, they were packed. We were seated a little late because an earlier table was camped out. Luckily we got a corner table on the deck and the view made up for the wait. They did run out of pepperoni and had to replace the kid's pizza with chicken nuggets but they didn't charge for them. They also didn't charge for my mushrooms that came after I reminded them. Tried this place for dinner when in town for a dr visit. Ordered tri-tip steak dinner and country fried steak dinner. Veggies were a food service mix and the tri-tip-was served well done -no one asked how I liked my steak. It was full of gristle but had good flavor. I just couldn't hardly chew it up. The country fried steak was okay, not exceptional. The salad was basically lettuce with a pile of croutons. Great prices though. $16 for a steak. Bar atmosphere but a beautiful view of Lake Cascade. Not a first choice just because of lack of fresh ingredients and no consideration of diner preference. read more

Our favorite place to eat in Cascade! They're food is consistent and their Bloody Marys are AWESOME. We stopped in for brunch on our way back from Winter Carnival in McCall because we didn't want to deal with the crowds. They are strict about their hours and made us wait outside for 15 minutes until they opened at 11AM. The service and food have always been great. She immediately made us some bloody marys and placed our order. There was a snow storm going on so we sat by a big window overlooking the golf course and lake. I ordered chicken strip and onion rings because greasy food was necessary after a night out. The onion rings are delicious and they have ranch and fry sauce. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak. His only complain was that he asked for onions and expected them to be grilled but they chopped up some red onion and threw it on top of his meal uncooked. The other couple at our table ordered and omelet breakfast and the breakfast sandwich and they were both very pleased. read more

Legitimately the worst experience I have had at a restaurant in my life. We chose to wear masks and immediately started getting dirty looks and comments from the locals. As soon as we walked in we endured "you know you can't eat with masks on" and "watch out there's douche bags walking by" along with loud conversations all around us about how naive we were and how it's all fake. Needless to say none of the employees or other customers were wearing masks, even the cooks. Later, this table took it to another level and started actually yelling slurs at us and insulting us personally, further than just the masks. They consistently made our experience miserable until we left as they yelled and called us obscene names. The employees did nothing to stop this harassment. This restaurant should be closed. I seriously recommend not supporting their business. read more

Super great place. I was here for work and drove straight from Boise and needed to check into my hotel first. After finding out that this was one of the best places to eat and was closing in like 30 minutes I rushed over for a meal. The initial server got me a cocktail right away and the next server was absolutely rad. I told her what I wanted and asked if it was too much considering they were closing and she made me feel totally cool with ordering that late. The food came fast and it was amazing! They had to move people off their patio to accommodate us, which was a bad situation for everyone involved. Service was slow (understandable considering the situation) but also rude. Ok so the service was AMAZING!!!! Even the people around us were super nice, considering we have very rambunctious children The food was DELISH! We aren't huge deep fried food people but we ended up splurging and were in absolute heaven. Lightly fried and full of filling!!! (poppers, green beans, fries & tots) I ordered the rib eye medium rare and it came out medium; still delicious. Husband ordered fish and chips and loved it! The view of the lake and beautifully landscaped golf course makes you feel like a million bucks. We ordered two appetizers, 5 drinks, rib eye and fish n chips all for $60! Great deal.
