I do not recommend this place at all. I almost feel bad writing a bad review because I want to support small businesses, and the first time I went two years ago, I had a good experience. I usually don't complain, but I really couldn't keep going in the picture that was after it was cured the first time. The polish is stuck to my cuticles, and I specifically asked for no shimmer or glitter. But I didn't realize till after it was already painted. I asked them to stop because to correct it, they would have to take it off and do it again, and I had a hard stop at 6, and it was already 5:30. But I got there at 4:20! Then when I asked how much for what they have done already, and she told me the full price of 30. I was like, how is it 30??? It's not even done. Then she said $20. This place is no frills, family owned and hole in the wall. But I love the pricing! $20 for a pedi?! Amazing. I found this place near my house thanks to fellow yelpers :)! There's only two ladies who work here. The owner and her mom. So you definitely need to call for an appointment. I've never had issues getting in the same day. I've been back twice. I love all the extras they give you (hot stone massage, scrub, mint lotion leg massage). My only complaint is that the massage could be 500% firmer. But I feel bad asking because idk if that's something people ask for during pedicures ? I definitely do during body massages. Oh wait. Another thing I wish they'd do is cap the nail tips so the pedicure lasts longer. (This is when they do a final swipe with the polish and top coat on the edge of your nail so it seals the nail when you expose yourself to water (showers, etc). The massage is super light as are the hot stones. I get a lot of plantar fasciitis pain in my feet and I deal with chronic pain so I need firm massages. I'd say the one here is a 1/10 in firmness. This was probably the best pedicure I've ever had. I had a mani/pedi. Both ladies did a great job and I enjoyed it so much!!

The biggest thing to look for in a nail salon is cleanliness. This place used the same file and buff for all customers (all were dirty and stored in the same container, reused for multiple clients). They made me dip my fingers into the same containers into which others had dipped their fingers (for dip powder) instead of putting the powder on my nails, which would be a more sanitary option. I also did not see an autoclave here. I'm afraid I'll now end up with a fungal infection of my nails. The result was not good either - one of my nails has a rough patch on it, the dip powder color is staining my cuticles and fingers 24 hours later and still hard to get it off. Plus the owner was on a call talking to someone else via ear buds the entire time. Will not return read more

Super sweet ladies that work here, it's a nice low key neighborhood nail spa located at the Newport Hills shopping center. This place is small, cozy, intimate, and not to mention super sanitizing. It's just nice to not feel like you're being rushed in an assembly line like most nail shops out there. I love their huge selection of colors, I finally tried getting Shellac and it's so much better than the regular manicure because it doesn't chip! The prices are also so reasonable! Came here after a recommendation from a friend and was pleasantly surprised! First and foremost, let's talk about how affordable their prices are! I usually get my nails done north, like Lynnwood mukilteo and it's more expensive there than it is at Q salon in BELLEVUE. Secondly, there's only two ppl that work here so it's hard to come as a walk in. So I'd definitely recommend calling ahead of time. As far as my nails, the lady took her time to do my shellac and got a brush to wipe around my nails after each layer of polish. Ive never had such detailed service before! The only reason why I'm giving this place a four star instead of five is because my shellac started to peel after a week, and usually it lasts me 2+ weeks at my regular spot. My friend gets gel here all the time and it lasts her over 3 weeks. So Id like to think my nails were just an exception and I wouldn't mind going back another time! read more

I found this place just cause it's close by where I live now. I discovered dipping here! I've gotten shellac many times at other salons, but never heard of dipping. I'd say its a cross between acrylic and shellac. It's as strong as acrylic, but isn't using any fake nails. Essentially, it's just dipping your real nail into base, color, and top coat powders. But it's significantly stronger than shellac. I like long nails, so they occasionally crack due to the length. But with dipping powder, it never cracks! Also, with shellac, when it grows out, the shellac can be peeled off as the edges start to come off. But that doesn't happen with dipping powder! It comes off the same way as shellac - with acetone. Q Nails charges $10 to take it off, or you can do it at home yourself. The dipping powder is usually $30, and takes maybe 45 minutes. I've had the owner's daughter do my nails if I just wanted a color change. She's in high school, and is a nice girl, but I don't recommend having her do your nails - it only stayed on my nails a day or two before it started to chip. read more

My first visit I was introduced to dipping nails. Was very pleased with application. 2nd visit, after drill used during dip process, found my nails starting to burn. Continued to burn next day. Had deep ridges in my nails from the filing. Is taking months for the ridges to grow out. Disappointed and won't be returning. read more

As a rule I do an appointment for manicure shellack and pedicure regular every 3 weeks. I need do it only because my nails grow too fast. Manicure (and pedicure also) look as if they were made yesterday :-) No chips, no damage,no tarnish. When I visited the salon 3 weeks ago, I was upset because my nail were broken, and I wanted to make all the nails short. I received an offer solve my problem by nail extension, and to do a manicure on a new technology ORGANIC DIPPING POWDER. I'm interested in everything new , and I agreed. The RESULT is MAGICAL! I like shellac, but the new technology is better! What is unique it? Absence of chemical elements in the composition. Hypoallergenicity, absence of a smell of chemical reagents. Strengthening the nail plate. Very strong coating, long does not lose brightness (more than a month!) If your nails need to be fixed, it get a natural shape and look like natural. I just love supporting this mom and daughter run nail salon. It's really a shame it took me so long to come here as I live right down the street. Admittedly, I wasn't super Interested because it's in an old building and I liked the fancier places but I just can't seem to find a place that does a bang up job well enough to keep me coming back. Low key environment with excellent service. Polite, friendly, staff. I'm here every 4-6 weeks for a mani and pedi. Clean environment and tools. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that the ambiance is sometimes a little too sedate for me, and no frills (although they do have massage chairs!!), and sometimes my mani has chipped fairly early on. I'll caveat that I've watched their process on the mani every single time and they always do the same # of coats and they do get the edges; I handwash my dishes without gloves and chase after a toddler in the sandbox/toybox, so it's very possible that I'm the reason for the chipping, not the actual mani quality. I come to this place every few months for pedicures and sometimes a manicure. Each visit has been great. The grandmother in the salon (the main person is her daughter, and sometimes the teenager is working too), does the best job, in my opinion. Ive only encountered a couple of issues with my nails, which is the only time I used their polish, (I always bring my own), my manicure started to peel off in 2 days. Peel! I could pull off the polish like tape. Another time, the young teen did my entire pedicure herself. She is not as experienced, so it felt odd to pay full price for that. Her method of applying polish to my toes was to paint all over my skin, and then use the brush to clean it all off in the end. Well, I had dark burgundy polish- it was not easy to remove. So I had to keep telling her to clean it over and over. As my feet were a mess. Lastly, today as I sit here, I have an apt for 11 am, and they are closed. Door says open at 10 am. I luckily had the owners card with me, and it has her cell on it, (now I know why!). She said she would be there in 15 mins- was stuck in traffic. It didn't sound like she was in a car. Sounded like a home environment. So, I wonder if they forgot, and just intended on coming later. Now I, the customer, am sitting in the parking lot for 15 mins now, waiting.
