Do not go to this agency unless it's your ONLY option. Absolutely incompetent, rude and uneducated staff, doing as little as possible and making people wait while they scroll, gossip and otherwise slack off. I cant give a negative star because it won't let me. This is the worst tag agency I have attended in a long time. They used to be good, but apparently with the change of staff, they are absolutely garbage. I went in for a title transfer and tag purchase yesterday, and because the seller wrote trade on the title, they gave me a bill of sale to fill out and did not even provide any guidance on how to do this. This caused me to have to fill out the bill of sale twice and get the seller to come back to sign it. When I finally got it all signed, the unprofessional attendant stated that the signature on the title from the seller didn't look identical to the bill of sale, and neither did mine. When I asked her for her credentials as a forensic handwriter analyst, she proceeded to accuse me of forgery, saying no one else would process this for me. I then left and went to another agency and got it done immediately. DO NOT USE these people they absolutely suck. read more

So we went on a Saturday and there was a line at 8am. That was a little anxiety inducing. So we got a number at the door and proceeded inside. Our number was called and we went to the window we were treated with professionalism and respect..... she was an expert in her field and we were able to take care of all our issues. One of my favorite tag agency locations. Service is always quick and pleasant. Or perhaps whenever I come it isn't overly packed. Either way I'll take it. They have a spacious waiting area and should you need insurance off to the right there are some options there. They are also traffic school, so it's almost a one stop shop essentially. I arrived here to register a car that I had purchased at an out of state auction. I brought every form and paper that I knew was required for the transaction. When my number was called, the clerk first told me that they didn't handle out of state vehicles. When I called her out on this, she then said I needed to have the vehicle there to verify the VIN. I then pointed out that I couldn't legally drive the vehicle, and that page 2 of the application had a VIN verification performed by a notary. She then showed all the paperwork to another colleague and then asked me to wait in line for the "knowledgable" clerk. After waiting for 20 minutes, the "knowledgable" clerk calls me over, looks everything over and says she can't do anything without a power of attorney. I've been buying and selling cars for 20 years and have never been asked for a power of attorney. She points out on the out of state title that it was signed by a POA. I then point out to her that that was when the dealer sold the car to the auction company and that it had nothing to do with me. She wouldn't budge. An hour wasted for nothing. The next day, a Saturday no less, I went to a REPUTABLE tag agency in Broward County, and lo and behold, I walked out with a title in an hour and was never asked for a POA. I want to also point out that while I was waiting, several people came and got title work done with missing or incomplete information and they all walked out with their titles. One guy even renewed his registration on the wrong car. The clerk reversed the transaction, and gave him a new one for free, all the while he's flirting with her asking her where she's from in the Bronx. Funny how these folks choose when and who to look the other way for. read more

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Is it a miracle? No, no, and yes! With my birthday coming up in December, the time was right to renew my tag. Unfortunately for me, given a few mishaps, I was told to renew it in person over online. It was just as well admittedly. I rather argue, if need be, with a person than a machine. Fortunately for me, that wasn't necessary. I walked in Saturday morning around 10 AM. My boyfriend accompanied me and we somehow managed to get the last available parking space. They have two services at this tag agency: the section for tags and the section for insurance. Tags are on the left side, so I took a number and waited my turn. There were around fifteen people ahead of me, so I thought to myself that my morning was over. I was already thanking the heavens I had had breakfast that morning. Turns out that I had no need to fret. Within fifteen minutes or so, it was my turn to be attended. Apparently all five windows were open and all the people working that morning were beyond efficient. When it was my turn to be attended, the entire process took five minutes and that's because I had to wait to get my vehicle registration laminated. Oh, and also to use the card machine to pay. If all tag agencies were like this one, I would definitely renew in person all the time. read more

I went to this location and the service was bad... I waited twenty fives minutes for my number to be called... and then the lady said she could do my title transfer because of the way the mileage was filed in... then gave me two forms and said I had to find the seller to complete the additional paperwork... I left and went to Pines Tag Agency and they we're able to help me with no issues and no additional paperwork.... lakes Auto staff isn't helpful and doesn't make the process easy... I won't go back to them read more

I've been wanting to switch out my regular Florida plate for something custom on a endless summer tag. When I got there it was more of an endless line of people. So I got my number and sat down and then I started reading that they only accept debit card and cash. If you are going to pay with a debit card they charge you a dollar more. But why would you accept debit cards and not accept credit cards for a tag ??? I would understand if it was taxes or maybe a lien that has an outstanding balance. So I waited there for 20 min and the line didn't more and I left. I also forgot to mention that in this part of the shopping center parking is horrible the lines of the parking spaces are made for something along the lines of a smart car or maybe just a golf cart. Most people end up taking two spaces anyways. I ended up parallel parking near an exit and hope and pray that they didn't tow my car. Well I guess I'll have to find elsewhere or maybe come at a time were the line is shorter to get my plate. read more

My registration had just expired and due to some technical issues, I had to go in person to renew my registration. Lake Auto Tag opened at 8:30 on a Saturday and when I arrived at that time, there was already a line out the door. I took my number and waited in line. The way they had the line set up was pretty organized. Everything was up to CDC code, with social distancing and all. The wait was just under an hour and when my number was called I was seen in less than 5 minutes and on my way. The only reason I docked a star from the review, was because I had to stand in line for an hour. And for a person with back issues, it's not very comfortable. They should have more seating options. read more

One of the ladies at the window seemed to give me attitude because they assumed I was skipping the line, when I'm fact, I was the one who was skipped by someone else because of the faulty ticket system. Once I proceeded to pay for my License Plate, the lady charged me twice because she entered the incorrect amount on the chip reader the first time. The second time, she added up the incorrect amount which surpassed my actual total. This is the second time I come here and I'll make sure it's my last. read more

The workers in this place are nice, but i truly wonder what makes them qualified for this job. None of them have any idea what they're doing. You fill out paperwork, they "fax" it to your bank or lease holder, but half the time they don't actually fax it. If the fax number is incorrect for any reason, they don't tell you. They just let your temp plates expire and leave it up to you. They can never answer any questions because they don't know the answer. You go, take a number, and when you get up to the counter, 9 times out of 10, the person can't help you and you have to get back in line to be helped by the one person who pretends to know. They act like they've never transferred a registration in their life. If you're coming out of state, good luck! The process takes anywhere from 1 to 6 months based on their pure laziness. They also don't know how to transfer lease registrations. You're better off using an old address. For the state of Florida having so many requirements, they sure do make it IMPOSSIBLE to meet them. Waste of time. Go to any other agency besides this one. read more

No consideration for handicap people. Wasted my time 2x trying to get handicap sticker with out getting proper information first try. Second time presented letter sent by email from Dr.'s and then she explains it has to be original. Never told that 1st visit. Not very helpful. Customer service needs to improve. read more

I came here on a Friday to get file the Lien information since I purchased my lease. The girl who helped me had no idea what she was doing and the lady next to her was so rude she did not want to help her figure out how to do it. In result The lady called me to tell me I need to come back the next day (Saturday) because she did it wrong and if I didn't come back she will cancel everything. This place is a waste of time. You come to a place to fix something really quick and because the people who help you are incompetent. Never again will I come to this place. They have 3 ladies looking at the papers and have no idea what to do. Why are you even a tag agency!!! read more
