Dr Arroyo is a great Dermatologist. I have been to many dermatologists over the years and she is the first one that is proactive and finds solutions to every concern. My whole family has been seeing her for about 3 years. She did a biopsy on my husband and it was cancer. Thankfully she didn't just prescribe a cream like another doctor recommended. She most likely saved his life since it was much worse than we ever could have imagined. My daughter had severe acne and now her skin looks amazing, thanks to Dr Arroyo. She may be hard to get an appointment with, but she is worth the wait. read more

I have had positive encounters at this practice but agree with other reviewers that the lack of responsiveness is extremely problematic. I recently had 2 biopsies performed here. Unfortunately, they became infected, despite following the after care instructions to the letter. Try as I might, I could not get any response from the office when I called multiple times and left multiple voicemails to express concern and ask for a follow up appt. Ended up going to urgent care and being diagnosed with severe cellulitis. I will not be returning. read more

Made an appointment with Dr. Arroyo for minor vein removal. Paid 370$ for literally 5 minutes of her time. She injected only 2 veins. She didn't evev bother to fix my spider veins. She said to make a follow up appointment in 3 weeks to check on the 2 veins, which I did, and paid ANOTHER 370$ AIGAIN..... Only to spend 5 minutes with me AGAIN and tell me it didn't work the first time.... Still have the 2 veins protruding. I asked for my 720$ back because nothing was done, and she refused. I would NEVER recommend her as a vein doctor. read more

Booked an online appt a month away as a new patient, choosing "any provider" at the Gurnee location. Get a call less than 24 hours before the appt. saying the "provider" was not going to be there. The only option for another appt. they offered was over a month away. The person that called said that was the only option they had at all of their locations. The caller was completely disinterested in helping out. Probably just wanted to get another cancellation call off of her to-do list. Wonder if patient care is just like customer service there. Woman at the front desk was very rude. Full body skin exam seemed very rushed compared to all previous dermatology exams.

I made an appointment with Dr. Arroyo on Jan 17 at 3:00pm. I was having a strange skin reaction on my neck that subsided by the time my appointment rolled around. That being the case, she did a very rushed full body skin check "since I as there". I asked her about something on my face that she missed that bothered me. Dr. Arroyo looked quickly, said it could be cancerous, quickly biopsied it and slapped a band aid on me. Three months later, I have a scar on my face from her slice. I have to put cover up on it. She was careless, rushed my appointment and scarred my face. I will never go back. She is supposed to be one of the best in the area. Thanks a lot. read more

Do NOT come here if you are looking for results. They charged me almost $300 dollars for the appointment itself and this does not even include the medication given. Used me as a test dummy put me on Spironolactone and it didn't do anything. I called back within less than a year to try something different and they wanted to charge me AGAIN in order to switch over. They are manipulators and liars and used me as a test dummy. Then tell me I can't try different even though I was promised this in the first consultation. I am utterly and completely devastated by my experience and will never come back to this practice. They need to do a better job and stop charging what they charge and not even giving their customers results. Do NOT trust this practice AT ALL. I will never give them my money ever again. read more

My first impression was how beautiful and clean the building was outside and in. The receptionist was pleasant. I had no wait time at all. I made my appointment online and did all the paperwork online before my appointment. The PA Cassandra Kenny was very professional and caring and so was her staff. Dr O gave me a call and left a message to let me know my bill was a over charge and had a meeting with the owner to correct it. She went to bat and there was a mis communication , and was removed. I appreciate that Dr. O took the time to have billing take care of it Thank you Dr. O. She was very thorough in her voice mail explaining what happened , and called me personally. Bring your own mask or they try to price gauge you at the front desk and charge $1 per mask. Also, not friendly about it at all. Funny how a business who got almost $300k in PPP funds for Covid wants to punish their patients who are already paying for a service. read more

I was recommended by Dr. Scott Otto to go see Martha Arroyo to confirm I had psoriasis before he operated on me. Well, she gave me some medication and it worked fine but told me she wanted to see me in 2 weeks. It was one of those visits where I really didn't really need to go but I had a blackhead in the center of my back which was really painful and I asked her to look at it. She did and said yes, it was a blackhead and to "have my girlfriend remove it." Excuse me? I thought you were a dermatologist and isn't a painful blackhead your job or is it too small for you? I paid your fee and was really there for nothing anyway. You couldn't have helped me out and at least had one of the 2 nurses in there with you take it out for me? I won't be back and this lady is a legend somewhere but not here. read more

Have been here only a couple times and met Dr. Arroyo both times. One thing that comes across strongly is her expertise. Dr. Arroyo is clear in her diagnosis and most often right! This certainly makes her a doctor I trust. On the softer aspects - She has a very kind demeanor and makes you totally at ease. Despite a super hectic schedule they don't make you feel rushed or unimportant. The office staff are all great - be it the nurses or the front office. Each of them are very efficient at what they are expected to do. My only qualm and this is perhaps a known, would be the difficulty in getting an appointment. The wait times are often almost 2months even to see a PA! Now if only they could get a way around that. read more

An amazing office with amazing doctors. I have been struggling with acne for around 7 years. Dr. Park is the third dermatologist I have been to, and the first place that took my issue seriously. I was not in love after the first appointment, but now I really appreciate her work. She clearly has experience in the field and knows what she is doing. She also found skin cancer on my grandmother in its early stages. Dr. Park removed it and my grandmother is doing great now. Receptionist is phenomenal, always responsive and helpful. Doctors respond to messages very quickly and setting up an appointment is not difficult. read more

Absolutely terrible. They keep you waiting well past your appointment time. This time around I was 48 minutes past my time. Then once in the room waited another 20 minutes. Then was RUSHED through with the do tor. She rushed me, talked over me and was still doing other things for other patients while spending her whole 5 minutes with me. Terrible injection results. Botox lasted one month and Juvedrem results were unnoticable from day one. Tried talking to Dr Arroyo but her only answer was I needed more product. I was only targeting a few small areas to start with. I have had both Botox and many fillers over the years with great results. This was definitely the worse experience and the Dr also charges $100. consult fee that is "not" applied toward any product. I am out $1,000. read more

Dr. Arroyo's reputation for her knowledge and expertise are definitely evident and earned. She works hard to provide the best care to her patients. Run, don't walk away from this practice!! Both Martha Arroya and Kelly Park were highly unprofessional towards me and in their documentation of my medical records. Between their poor manners and dishonest accounts of their time spent with me, I found the whole experience quite disturbing and alarming. If you do decide to utilize this practice, be sure to request your medical records afterwards to compare their account of your appointment with what really happened. Perhaps Covid-19 has hurt this business; however, I feel it is inappropriate for them to bill insurance for services stated in medical records that were not rendered and to use scare tactics to get a patient to undergo a procedure from them. They are dishonest, unfair and petty. I complained about a service I received and they had me come back in with a clear expectation that I would not be charged. However they did charge me, refused to work with me on the matter, did not cash the small payments I made pending resolution and threatened collections. In summary, the total for the two visits was about $400.00, I was happy to pay for the second visit-about $200.00. If they had send me to collections for $400.00 the collection agency would have taken 1/2 of the negotiated settlement so at best they would have gotten $200.00 and damaged a well intending patient's credit. Petty, just petty-I hope they put the extra $200.00 they ripped me off of to good use! read more

I spoke with the office head who was so reasonable. She was understanding and she explained what had happened that day and that it was an unusual and chaotic day for everyone. I believe that. Dr. Arroyo is a good doctor. But will not be returning to the practice. I saw Dr. Arroyo few years ago, and her diagnosis and medications were spot on and cleared up my acne. However, this year when I needed to see her again, I called to schedule an appointment, I had to try multiple times to reach a person (beginning of Feb), and when I did I was given an appointment 2.5 months out. A good doctor is busy so it was understandable. Day before my appointment (me waiting for 2.5 months) I get a voicemail that I have an appointment (second week of April) with the PA. So I call back the office to clarify and they said that they had me down for the appointment with the PA. When I explained to them that I had called them couple of months prior to set up an appointment specifically with Dr. Arroyo, they said that the next available appointment was mid-Aug and offered to put me on Cancel list (in case anyone cancelled). I did call them mid March to see if I could be on that list because of my painful cystic acne. Rescheduling is a mess. So decided to not return to the practice, it is shame that a good doctor loses patients over scheduling. read more

waste of time first it was months to get an appointment. that was a bummer but I thought it was because it was worth it to see them. Anddd it was the total opposite. Front desk girl blonde, seemed like she had an attitude which threw me off from what I was expecting. But The reason I give it 1 star is because it was so rushed. I met with the doctor for less than 5 minutes. She barely asked for any concerns or questions. All she did was prescribe me 2 meds and didn't tell me anything about it. The crazy thing is I could've asked her questions but she kept talking the whole she was with me! Prescribed me the drugs and walked out said "nice meeting you Stephanie" and that was it. I was really expecting more because I wanted to understand what was giving me acne. I didn't feel comfortable with her and I got nothing out of it. Started taking the prescription pills and it's not working and only giving me bad side effects. If she were to ask more questions and maybe do a test, she would've known what works! Seriously don't recommend if you're looking to clear your acne. read more

Terrible, terrible terrible patient relations. This practice works under Septon Dermatology Associates as well. I made an appointment to have a wart removed and the assistant who treated me did absolutely nothing. It was really hard to reach a manager because this practice has no after hours voicemail and they've directed their answering service not to take non emergency messages. When I finally spoke to someone she apologized and booked an appointment for me to come back & have the issue taken care but now they're trying to charge me for both visits ($228.70 for #1 & $195.43 for #2). I tried and tried to work with them but they've been unresponsive. I finally got patient relations from one of their associated facilities to step in and the snarky receptionist insisted that they had discussed this with me previously-which is a flat out lie because I NEVER got to speak to the office manager about this billing issue. I've called, sent registered mail and filed a complaint with the BBB-no responses to anything, they just don't care. Now, three months later they have not cashed my four (4) good faith payments that I sent in and are threatening collections plus an 18% service fee. I finally got to speak with their billing service who reached out to the office management who readily admits that they are destroying my checks intentionally with the intent to send me to collections. What jerks! I have filed yet another complaint with the BBB & am contacting the Attorney General's office for their collections practices. I strongly urge you to look elsewhere if you're contemplating using this practice. read more
