On Sunday around 530 pm we traveled 30 mins to get here. On arrival, we were immediately greeted by the wait staff and they said to seat anywhere. So we choose to set outside with a great view of the river. It was nice to see water and small fishing boat from their patio. Dogs are allowed out side, so next time we bring the little 4 legged girl. The wait staff quickly took our drink order and was back to our table in less the two mins. My wife got a house white wine - do not get this- she said is was terrible. But I got a bottle beer and was happy. The menu is full of sandwiches, burgers, salads, seafood, and dinner specials, but we just wanted a pizza. 16" round pizza was back on our table in about 20 min. The pizza was just ok ( c+ or b-) nothing to write home about. I would say the crust was considered a medium thickness and pizza was full of pepperoni. We both ate 2 pieces each and the took 4 home for leftovers. We will be back some day to try other foods. We did see a lot of burgers being service. read more

We ordered the pork chop with gravy. The price listed in their website was 40% lower than what they charged now. The two fried pork chop were both over cooked and bland. The gravy was too salty. read more

This restaurant is small hometown cooking. We ate here several times and everytime is was wonderful. The country fried steak was delicious and there jon boat hit the spot. 3 stars are for good service and location of this restaurant. The food is pretty low quality except for the fried items which taste great. This is not a top class restaurant, but if you are looking for a good time with a beautiful view this is a great place to start. If they changed their food quality (meaning thicker steaks, better meat choices maybe add a smoker to the location) then this would be a top of the line restaurant. read more

We stopped by here on the way from Colonial Williamsburg and our hotel in Richmond. The establishment was located near a campground. We almost noped out because of how empty the parking lot looked. When we stepped inside a young hostess met us at the counter and told us we could sit wherever we wanted. We took the tall table by the window overlooking the lake. The view was really nice! The food came very quickly, and was well seasoned. My kids loved the fish and chips, we almost ordered a second helping for them. Our server, Olivia was very kind. Even though we looked like out-of-towners she still came to check on us regularly to see if there was anything we needed and if the food was to our liking. In my opinion, the prices were a pretty good value for what you get. All in all we had a pleasant experience and the friendly service more than met our expectations. Walked in the door and was ignored, eventually sat ourselves, watched 2 tables arrive after us and had their orders taken first and got their food before we even got our coffee. Never did get the Bloody Mary. Too many years in the restraint my business to let this one slide. Wait staff overwhelmed. Customers having to get up and get their own drinks, obvious regulars used to the poor service. Wife got up after 20 mins to ask for a second time for her drink. Damn shame for such a great view and convenient location. Waitstaff prioritized regulars over unknown customers. Took almost 30 minutes to even get waitress to take our order. I left a review 3 months ago but it isn't here. We had terrible service, and the food was terrible. We stood at the entrance for 5 min while the only employee visited with the only table with guests. When she finally seated us, it took LITERALLY 40 Min for them to cook a simple burger and grilled chicken! We will never go back again, even though it is close and has a nice view. read more

We went there for breakfast and I'm sure they have good food but we never got to try it. We waited for 10 minutes at the wait to be seated sign then went and sat at the bar. We waited at the bar for about 20 minutes as all the servers ignored us. I eventually went and asked for a menu and the lady who was working snapped that we were supposed to wait at the sign. I told her I didn't know because usually every resturant you can just sit at the bar. The other server handed me menus and the two of them told us there is tables in front of us and walked away. We would of waited but we were not offered drinks or anything. We did not feel like we were wanted as customers so we left. Not a great feeling when you finally get to go camping for the season and you were really looking forward to trying their food. read more

Ordered the bacon cheeseburger and the patty was a frozen patty and got cheddar cheese which was sprinkle cheese that was it even melted. The bacon was way over cooked. The Fries were good and hot. Great view of the water and spooky trees. Enjoyed the plentiful BBQ sandwich and pasta salad. My girlfriend enjoyed her BLT and fries. Too bad they were out of the daily special -meatloaf sandwich. Friendly staff- gave us a water for the road. They have bands on the patio on weekends and looked like a well-stocked bar. View and people are outstanding. Good place for locals to meet up. Food is okay. Nothing "outstanding" about it but its just good home cooked burgers and seafood. Burgers are home made from fresh beef, not pre-made frozen patties like the average fast food place. Worth stopping at if your our fishing or passing thru the area and need a quick meal. Disappointed. Stayed in nearby campground and on night one has a good experience. We went for breakfast and were very disappointed. We were seated quickly but it took an hour to get food. The waitress never came back to check on us. Finally, when she was clearing the plates she asked if all was okay. One of my group said the inside of the omlett was raw. There was silence. No 'I'm sorry' or 'let me get the manager', nothing. Slowww service and okay food. I'll go elsewhere next time. read more
