We were happy that we did decide to give this place a try, as it was everything that we had expected, and more! When we walked-in, we were greeted by a young man, that asked if we wanted take-out or dine-in. We chose dine-in however, the restaurant was quite busy at the time so, we had to be seated at a table near the front entrance. Upon sitting, we noticed the iPad that was on the table for ordering. We were also given paper menus to look at, which was easier. Once we had placed our orders, we waited only about ten minutes for our salads to arrive, along with the hummus and pita bread. The salads were absolutely amazing; the bowls were filled to the brim with cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, olives, and feta cheese. All of the ingredients were fresh and tasty, and that dressing, WOW; it was delicious! It tied the salad in so well, it was the best salad we had ever tried at a Greek restaurant. The hummus was also delicious, with heated-up pita bread creating the finishing touches. This hummus was definitely homemade, and marvellous! We even asked for an additional pita, as the one we had wasn't enough for the four of us. This appetizer was definitely a great start! Once our main meals arrived, we were pleasantly surprised at how large the portions were. And the homemade sauce on top of the rice was wonderful; I don't know how they made the sauce, but it was perfect with the rice. The chicken was tender, with the tzatziki sauce not being needed often due to the tenderness. The potatoes were huge, and deliciously spiced. The meal was massive, and we couldn't finish it all; definitely worth what we had paid for! Throughout the entire meal, the server checked on us, bringing us water when we had asked, and making sure we were well taken care of. As we were leaving, the owner/chef asked where we were visiting from, and if we enjoyed the food. This place was hands-down the best Greek restaurant that we've ever been to; down to earth family-owned, amazing food, and great hospitality. Will definitely be back, and would recommend that you all try it as well; you won't be disappointed!

It's located in a small strip and sometimes it takes time to find parking but not bad at all. The food is really good and fresh... You can feel the flavor of the marination and cook in the grill. The plate that I would go back for?.... The pork souvlaki and the excelent garlicky hummus. The service is super friendly and the chef will always ask if everything was as a good as we expected. The atmosphere is simple but practical and confortable. I've been here 3 times and I think I will go back everytime I come back to Ottawa.

Technically that makes it a 3.5; I could live with that. I like this place so much that I'm surprised I haven't written a review for it yet! Let's remedy that now... We usually get one of their skewer platters (souvlaki), and we tend to rotate between the chicken, pork, beef, or lamb. The salad is not gargantuous, but big enough, and tasty too and contains lettuce, a couple of slices of wedgie tomatos, a couple of black olives with pits still in them, feta cheese, and onions. The chicken souvlaki I had was very tasty and I LOVED the tzatziki! There was plenty of rice, and a couple of potato halves. This meal is filling enough and comes to about $11 per person. Bonus: You save the nearly $2 delivery charge by picking up the order yourself. They do have a few tables for 2 or 4 people if you did want to eat in, but mainly their biggest business is their take out service/delivery. We've eaten here often, and will definitely be back again.

Went in for takeout a week ago. Wall menu board was changing…read moreso fast, you couldn't complete the reading of any selection. Bad judgement prevents them from chanhgig what most are complaining about. Not a good sign. I should have read more into that. We persisted on a paper menu of which they have few copies so we were sharing with others. SLOW service. Decent kabobs but should be for pork and chicken 5 bites of meat for $8. Lamb $11. The Greek vegetable salad elsewhere I normally LOVE. Reviewed with them that it was no lettuce and the usual veg. BUT at home we had a styrofoam box filled with UNripe tomaoto quarters, 30 of them, 4 round rings or red onion, 4 olives, and 4 1 inch thin slices of feta cheese. Good dressing but really no salad to put it on. Threw most f the tomatoes out,m and had a few bites of the salad, but it hadn' sufficient ingredients to be enjoyable - or nutritious. WASTE of money. 3 small pieces of spanokopita were tasty. In all for $58, not enough to eat and very ordinary. We should have used the crazy fast menu board as our warning that common sense is lacking here throughout. We won't return.

They have daily specials that rotate every day, including soups. The first time we tried Nick's was on a day that hubby felt like having pizza but I wanted something else, and ended up with Souvlaki with 2 skewers - one chicken and one pork. It was pretty good, coming from a small town! We had only tried takeout until recently. We were in a party of 8, but found a table with no problem. Service was quick enough, and the food was good. Everyone got something different (which is a bonus as far as I'm concerned). And the people in our party seemed to be happy with the food. IMHO it was really great seeing everyone, and I was happy not to have to clean up after this. Everyone wins! We will definitely be back.
