My fiance and I stopped in for a late lunch before we went back to Toronto. Our server was nice and offered just the right amount of service (checking in with us just the right amount). Loved the black tea with cardamom spice that we were offered when we first sat down - so so good! My fiance opted for the beef kefta platter, adding hummus and I got an order of falafel. Our food arrived with a side of delicious housemade bread and hot sauce type dip. Flavours were amazing and the food was super fresh. Tons of fresh toppings and your meal is prepared how you like it, right in front of your eyes. I believe they also make their sauces in house as well. Service is quick, polite, friendly. Others have mentioned the portion sizes are large - they really are! Be sure to take your leftovers for another meal, so good! The two times I have visited, I have opted for their falafels once as a platter and another time as a wrap - so tasty! Be warned - they are not shy with the garlic, so be sure to pack some gum or mints for after! This is now our go to when we come into town to visit family. See you soon, El Mina!

Garlic potatoes were very good, not quite to certain Ottawa locations but still very tasty. Service was excellent and friendly. We got some meat pies and they were delicious. The meat pies are $2.75 each. They are generous with the meat too, unlike at some places. The dough is the perfect thickness, not too thick nor too thin. It was slightly crunchy on the outside, but soft on the inside. I asked for spice, but no lemon juice. The spice here adds flavour but no heat. They make the meat pies in the back, so you don't see the oven like at Aladdin and some other Lebanese meat pie shops. When you order they give you a buzzer which flashes and vibrates when your order is ready. Staff were courteous and service was efficient. It's a takeout joint only. Lots of free parking in the plaza parking lot.

I finally went there recently and ordered some meat pies ($2 each) and meat and cheese pies ($2.75 each). Both types of pies were great, but I liked the meat and cheese one the most. The cheese was so chewy, and slightly squeaky. It reminded me of cheese curds. The meat was well seasoned and wasn't too sour or too salty like at some places. The dough was thin and slightly crispy, not doughy. I like thin and crispy, so I liked the dough. The meat had a slight smokey flavour to it, but not as much as Aladdin's. I compare most meat pies to Aladdin's because they are my favourite, but Al Noor is a very very close second. They are both very similar. Al Noor's has more meat and cheese but Aladdin's has more of that smokey flavour that I like. The bakery has some seats so you can eat your food there. They also sell some sweets that are prepackaged (not baked there). They also sell beverages. I didn't like the fact that the staff did not wear gloves while they prepared my food. Nor did I see them washing their hands at any point. The man preparing my food was actually holding his phone with one hand (and watching a video on it) and preparing my food with this other hand (and occasionally touching his phone with the food preparing hand). Minus 1 star for (lack of) sanitation. If staff wore gloves, this place would get 5 stars from me. Staff are nice enough. The place is bigger than I expected. It's in a strip mall on Wylie just off Carling (you can see the bakery from Carling). There is a small parking lot in front, so there is free parking but it's limited.
