Great nail salon in Lakeway. I have been here three to four times since moving to the area. The interior is modern and elegant and often decorated for the holidays. The staff is friendly and professional. They can be a little pushy about add-on services like the build-a-gel. I chose to add it and have been satisfied most of the time. On one occasion, however, the builder was too soft and my nails bent easily. Most of the time my nails turn out well and I am happy with their attention to detail. On one visit, my gel polish on my toes chipped, which rarely happens to me. During my last pedicure, I paid extra for callus removal, but very little pressure was used. I asked three to four times for the technician to be more thorough and it was still not properly done. This was disappointing since I paid extra for that service. Overall, my experiences have been good. They have a wide color selection. It is very easy to book last minute or walk in, and there is usually little to no wait. I also like that they can do my manicure and pedicure at the same time. The prices are on the higher side, which is expected for Lakeway, but I find it reasonable since I only go about every month and a half to two months. The last time I was there before Thanksgiving, they offered cookies, cheese and crackers, and a 10 percent off special. They also offer champagne or wine. I made an appointment and was paired up with Huong. The place just opened three weeks ago. The place is beautiful and service was phenomenal. I had the detoxifying pedicure (pricey but I think well worth it as my feet were a complete mess) along with the buff and shine manicure along with an eye and lip wax. With it being Mother's Day weekend, we scheduled a reservation in advance so we could make sure to have a time. Our reservation was for 2:30 and we arrived early at 2:28, after picking our color we were standing around for 15 minutes past our appointment time so when I asked they found us pedicure chairs to sit in. We sat with no water in our bowls for another 15 minutes until I spoke up again then we were given ice cold water. Someone finally came to start my nails and my MIL began her pedicure. After 45 minutes of nail service no one had started my pedicure. I ended up telling them I wouldn't be getting one. There was way too many people and the staff even said they were understaffed for today. Super disappointed and will not be returning. (Forgot to mention that they totally prioritized another woman and her daughter who were regulars who showed up after us and immediately were given a pedicure when we were STILL waiting) Would not recommend. My girl Jazza does an incredible job on my nails, I have never once left unhappy. They pay close attention to detail, the place is always clean and everyone is always happy to see you there. Lamest and overpriced pedicure of my life. This was the most basic pedicure and I paid for the more expensive service. They did not give me my timed massage and the callus remover was not worth the price. My technician seemed tired and irritated. The woman doing my nails wasn't listening from beginning to end. Started doing the wrong service, was corrected. I said I'd do a gel mani instead of the regular I booked for, half way through soaking my other gel off, but she clearly didn't hear me (no surprise giving she was on her phone anytime she didn't have my hands in hers). She gives me what they consider a manicure but didn't put on any color and said "okay dry and your finished", walked away. I'm thinking my base coat is drying and apparently she's done. I told the front desk who did nothing, charged me the full price of a manicure (which btw this was not) even after I questioned why it cost what it did. I had the 2nd pedicure with the 10 minute massage. Somehow the entire pedicure was done in 30 minutes. The tech was nice but did not push my cuticles and hardly cut anything away. I believe I only got one coat of color so we'll see how long this paint lasts. The massage was not great. I was left to dry and was not checked on again. I have previously left a five star review of this salon when it first opened but my experience has drastically changed since then. I just went in to get a pedicure and during my service the nail tech seemed to have fallen asleep while massaging me or just completely zoned out and stopped moving more than once. Then he began to paint my toes, after painting them he removed all the polish because he has gotten just as much polish on my skin as there was on my toes. He painted them a second time then told me I'm done and to wait for it to dry then pay. I waited then looked at my toes after a few minutes. He had left me with only 8.5/10 toes painted. One toe was completely bare and the rest were lumpy with polish on my skin. I told the front desk because my nail tech was nowhere to be seen and they gave me a new tech to repaint for me. The man at the desk said this is unacceptable and that I would get a discount. After the third painting of my toes within two hours I went to pay and was charged $55. I'm not understanding why I was charged so much when the service took twice as long as it should have and was deemed unacceptable by the staff. Literally worst experience ever. My manicurist used her own nails to push my cuticles back causing 2 of them to bleed. My feet were in water for more than 40 minutes and I finally took them out bc they were cold and let them air dry and then waited another 20 minutes before they started. But the finale is that a few hours after I got home I saw my nails in the sunlight and realized an entire nail wasn't even painted! How is it possible to only paint 9 nails. I went to get my nails done here yesterday and honestly did not have a good experience. First of all it feels luxury but is definitely not. There's so many people in there. I like the guy that did my pedicure but it took forever for a person to come do my mani so the service took 2 hours which is crazy. It should take 1.5 hours MAX with the works which I did not get. Then the lady that finally came over to do my nails started getting onto the guy doing my pedi and showing him how to do it which I didn't know if he needed or not but it made me feel uncomfortable for him and myself and made me question his skills or her demeanor. Wasn't sure. Now that I'm home, the gel manicure I got is so lumpy, bumpy, uneven, & just messily done. BAD. This nail tech should focus on her job and getting better at her own skills rather than someone else's bc she needs A LOT of WORK! She didn't even give at least a 2 second hand massage at the end. 0 massage so I just put lotion on while I was paying the $165 bill over 200 with tip which I regret giving now. Not deserved but I am a giving person so I don't regret that part. We could all use $20 for something. I went here with a three of friends after a long day. We got to pick out our colors for the nails which was good and well ! Fast forward to getting seated my first two friends got their Nails started right away, but I had to wait 20 minutes ( I completely understand if this place was busy , but there were workers just hanging out on their phones) just to figure out who was doing my nails and once I finally had someone come over to me , she said " I will be with you in just a minute!", and she went and disappeared to the back, newsflash I waited 35 minutes until she came back and just when I thought she was going to start doing my nails, all she did was cut my cuticules and electrically buffed my nails, then proceeded to disappear for another 20 minutes!?! (Btw all I was getting were French tips). So this lady Finally finishes my nails and they were the most splotchy French tips I have ever seen,and I had to pay 100 dollars plus a tip!?! (THIS TOOK 2 hours, not including waiting for her to come back!) I feel like if I paid this much money I should've had nice French tips, right if your a nail tech you should probably know how to french tips :/ This same trip, one of their workers was being incredibly racist and disrespectful to my friend saying things like "You look a lot different than the other two." I follow a specific schedule as I'm a CEO of an apparel brand so I rely on timeliness - (obviously it's a nail salon so if a tech is a few minutes late that's fine). I was 5 minutes away and the receptionist called me back to reschedule...I said "did my tech accept a walk in despite knowing I was on the way to my scheduled appointment?". She said "yes".
