    Grilled romaine with filet

Lala's is a unique experience. I'll call it a hidden gem, of sorts. We decided to give it a try and made a dinner reservation for my husbands birthday. The exterior of the building is beautiful, however the inside leaves me slightly perplexed. The decor is... strange. Imagine a mix of a high end steak house, Cracker Barrel, and your grandmas house. Again, strange. I was feeling a little "uh oh" upon initial impression but WOW-- was our service and dinner absolutely amazing. We started with calamari steak and a small charcuterie board. Nice portion sizes and both delicious. My husband had the salmon and I had the grilled romaine salad with filet added. Hands down, one of the best salads I've ever had. Since we were celebrating, our server treated us to a crème brûlée desert which was also incredible. We've been recommending LaLas to our family and friends and can't wait to come back!

If I could give them 6 stars I would. We decided to go to one of their dinner and wine tasting special events. We are very glad we did! Meal included charcuterie with Prosecco, fois gras with a South African white wine, grouper with peach salsa and a Chardonnay, pesto cheese mezzalina in a mushroom truffle sauce with Pinot Noir, beef cheeks Ragu with potatoes confit and a delectable Cabernet sav and a flourless, but none the less yummy chocolate cake with a Syrah. On top of the wonderful food, the service was outstanding. The owner, manager, and staff were very personable, friendly, and on top of everything. Additionally, the chef and wine expert came out before every course to fully explain everything and were quite knowledgeable and professional. We will definitely be back for dinner during regular service.

Great portions! Decent service but dated ambiance. Carrot cake could be improved upon: WAY too big and not enough cream cheese frosting. 8/10

What a great experience, this is the former Anthes (high end) Restaurant so the building is beautiful, the setting is perfect and the food and service were all upscale as expected. Lisa has the staff and chefs working well together and in the current Covid times it just a pleasure to find and have a really good restaurant experience. We started at the bar with plexiglass dividers keeping us safe from other patrons. Our drinks were perfect. I chose a fish special and I'm sorry I didn't write the name down, it was delish. We laughed and talked while a keyboard player entertained and added so much to the evening. Thank you Lisa... Like Arnold Schwarzenegger said... I'll be back.

I have also been to two other Sittoo's around Cleveland and appreciate how convenient they are. The staff is friendly (although there were only two people working and it got pretty busy), the prices are reasonable, and the food is pretty decent although I do prefer other Mediterranean places to Sittoo's. Today I got the business lunch special ($7.95) which is a plate of a variety of meats, rice, salad, and a piece of pita bread. Pretty basic fare and nothing too spectacular when it comes to taste but it is a good price and can be healthy if you don't put too much sauce all over it. I do wish it came with pickled vegetables though!!! I also got a side order of fries that are basic fries but are elevated with za'atar seasoning. Only one size of fries are available, unfortunately, which I hope they will change in the future. I just wanted a kid's portion of fries to satiate my craving but ruined my diet (my own fault haha) by having to be brave and chow down on lots of fries for $4.25. My total was $12.20 and took about 8 minutes to be ready before I drove back to my office and enjoyed my lunch at my desk. As it was ordered to-go, it was packaged well and contained plastic silverware and napkins. Overall, Sittoo's is a nice local chain and I am happy to have one near my office.

Service was friendly and the right amount of attentive, making sure our water glasses were full and checking in on our party. Food options are mostly bar/pub type food (understandably so) but they have a couple of salads. Not a ton of vegetarian options unfortunately, so I ended up eating appetizers and tried their fish sandwich. That said, the fried pickles were amazing (they put dill in the batter which I loved) and they came with an excellent dipping sauce. The onion rings were good but super greasy and the breading was a little thicker than I would prefer. The giant soft pretzel was SO GOOD...I wish I'd gotten a photo of that but we demolished it! Fish sandwich was decent but nothing to write home about...pretty thick breading there too but the fish was good and it came with a huge serving of fries. All in all pretty tasty food and I'd go back for sure, just not a place to go if you are looking for health ;) Thank you for a nice evening, Caston & Main!

I'd give this a 4.25 stars. If you read my reviews, you know that terrible car accidents happen to me after work dinners (see review on The Industry for one such example). Thankfully, dear readers, I did not have any car incidents after THIS specific work dinner. Haha! Anyway, The Bistro of Green is in a strip mall five minutes from my work office and is an institution for locals in the area - people in my group were reminiscing about coming to Bistro multiple times a month before Covid, back when they were open for lunch. The menu seems to change often. They do have a couple specials on a board outside the door that are not on their printed menu, just FYI. Our dinner took over 2 and a half hours, starting with complimentary bread and our drinks of choice. The free bread was fine. I ordered a seasonal cocktail, the Apple Cranberry Sangria, despite cocktails not having a price listed (see menu picture). I tend never to order things that do not have the price listed but the cocktail sounded too good to resist. It was yummy and very sugary and fruity, with added mint leaves that definitely brought it up a notch! Our party also split 4 appetizers: the hot peppers ($13), baked provolone ($14), calamari ($16), and flatbread ($16). As the portions are not meant to be shared between 10 people, I only had a little bit of each. I wasn't into the peppers (too mushy) but the calamari was my favorite! I could see myself ordering this as a dinner just for myself in the future. Two thirds of the hot pepper dish was ignored by the group in the end. For my main, half of which I took home as it was getting very late and my drive back home is almost an hour, I chose to get the Bistro burger (medium rare) and fries ($18). This was chosen based on cost alone - even though I really wanted a chicken or steak dish, I just could not afford them. I am only a lonely assistant, not a CEO! I debated getting one of the other sandwich options, also both $18, but the lack of pictures either on Google or Yelp made me just stick with a burger. My lack of funds kept me from being too adventurous for this dinner, sadly. Next time, I'd be down to try their fancy grilled cheese (or steak, if someone else foots the bill). The burger was good, although not amazing, and the fries were that nice mix of just oily and crispy enough. Service was okay. Things apparently got busy at the bar, so it took longer than it should have for us to get our drinks and food throughout the night. As for vibes, it was nicely decorated for Christmas, lights were dim, and Christmas music played softly in the background. No complaints here! In the end, for a sangria, burger, fries, tax, and tip (plus a 3% surcharge for using a credit card), my dinner cost me over $40. Can you imagine just how much worse the bill would have been if I hadn't gotten the cheapest thing on the menu? Next time, I will also remember to bring cash. And choose a more unique dish.

Our server Ashley was very polite and had a nice smile and served breakfast with a flourish. We were there for breakfast with my order being the Corn Beef Benny (Eggs Benidict with Corn Beef instead of Canadian Bacon) and my brother being Corn Beef Hash. We are both seniors with much smaller appetites than in our earlier years. Both breakfasts were good with the Corn Beef being shredded rather than ground. Eggs came out as we ordered. My home fries appeared to be from frozen not previously baked/boiled, cut up and then fried. A bit tasteless. A few things stand out. * The Corn Beef Hash did not come with toast (as traditional). I had not expected it for my Benidict but was surprised that my brother's didn't. * The portions also were (in my opinion) small. My brother and I finished our meals without a problem whereas in our earlier years we would still be hungry. * They didn't have standard condiments associated with breakfast especially hot sauce. They had Cholula hot sauce, that is all. * The coffee in the carafe cooled quickly and allowed for only another half cup or so per person. I always enjoy when the server comes by with fresh coffee to warm up our cup and maybe exchange a few pleasantries. * While pleasant, Ashley left us the check without asking us if we knew how to use the process. Fortunately, I did. One disadvantage is I almost always leave cash tip if not on business but indicate on the receipt. With the new process, this was not possible. I still left a cash tip but gave 0 on the electronic bill. No where was there an indication if we didn't have the QR code savvy or wanted to pay cash. To summarize, food decent, server mostly good, price value not so much. At roughly 50 dollars, while good, I think overpriced. Would I go there again, probably not. I like a good old fashion type restaurant where there can be exchanges between the diners and servers.
