Cute little spot! Love the GF listings on their menu is great because there was a lot to choose from and gluten free buns! Food was great - comments from the table was "best chicken sandwich ever!" And fries are real - crispy and delicious! Will be back!

It was just ok for me. The wine selection was so-so and the cocktails were a lot of simple syrup sugary type things. Food was overly spiced but okay. Overall everything was Not bad but nothing to write home about either.

We stopped into NuVue for dinner last week and will definitely be back. The menu offers a nice selection of seafood and the ambiance is very cozy. They also had tasty cocktails (bonus points for offering blue cheese stuff olives with the dirty martinis). I will say service was a little slow for how small of a place it is, by the time we finally ordered they were out of my husbands first choice and then it was awhile before they came back for our new order, but the staff were friendly and clearly had a lot of regulars stopping in.

We had a very good meal here. Very unassuming casual spot. We had the goat cheese salad, ahi tuna, hush puppies as appetizers. All very good. Then we had the shrimp and grits, Philly steak, chicken fingers and lobster mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was claw meat only but still good. The rest was also good. The key lime pie and the biskoff cheesecake were really delicious for dessert.

We were traveling through Ohio and needed a late night Friday dinner. This venue is quite nice and our hostess directed us to a quiet table. We had the goat cheese medallions. They were very rich. The marinara sauce was great, but it was advertised as vodka sauce which I would have preferred. The fish sandwich was great. We opted for spinach instead of fries and that was a good choice. Overall a lovely stop.

Our food was good and so was the service. We went early and they weren't busy. I would NOT get the shrimp cocktail though. That was like grocery store shrimp cocktail.

The level of service didn't meet the prices imo. Food was just ok. The bartender didn't make drinks properly, the ratios were off (a Manhattan had way too much vermouth) the ambiance was ok.

The food was a solid 4. Service a 4.5 Ambiance a 4 we started with a couple salads. A side and a Caesar. The white french dressing is homemade and awesome. The Caesar I would have preferred a wedge and not chopped so small. Hard to fork it up. For entrees I had the hot wings which were just ok. A little over done forgot my blue cheese and a bit dry. The dressing would have helped. The wife had shrimp and grits. That's a go to dish for her and she LOVED IT. Said it was one of the better shrimp and grits she ever had. Lots of flavor. The drinks were great, the old fashion was legit. Lastly the key lime pie. Was good not crazy good. They have made a major change here. We were here when it was the previous restaurant and vowed never to return again. Well here we are and will return. Good job.

Friendly atmosphere. I had a very good pork chop. I might try a burger next time. Prices were very reasonable.

Had a wonderful evening dining at the Diamond Grille!…read more The ambience was lively, and the service was exceptional. Started out at the bar and ordered a Manhattan. It was ice cold and perfectly crafted. We were then sat at a booth where we enjoyed our meal. Two people in the group ordered steaks that were prepared exactly as ordered. I had the salmon grilled, and it was delicious! We also had wines by the glass and another perfectly crafted cocktail (French 75). I recommend this restaurant and can't wait to come back! * don't forget to bring cash-- it's the only form of payment that is accepted!

Don't get me wrong: the food is fine (in the most mediocre sense). Full disclosure: We don't eat red meat, so I can't comment on their steaks, which is what the place is known for. This is a classic case of tradition masquerading as fine dining. There's no subtly or nuance to the cuisine. The oysters Rockefeller was overly sauced, and the salad was overdressed. My salmon was a bit overcooked, but the baked potato was very good. The dessert, a brownie with ice cream, ate like a Little Debbie squirted with Hershey chocolate sauce. I will say that our server was wonderful and was working very hard. The ambiance, however, was sad. We were seated in the bar area on very uncomfortable wooden benches. Honestly, it felt like a Cracker Barrel. At the bar was an obnoxiously loud man dropping F-bombs and saying homophobic things. He pretty much ruined any enjoyment we had a hope of having. Finally, Diamond Grille doesn't accept credit cards, which we knew, but again, our enjoyment was dampened by having to keep track of how much everything cost so we didn't spend more than the cash we had gotten out of the ATM on our way. The hostess told us they were planting their feet and never taking cards, and I just don't understand why, in the 21st century, a business would alienate customers like this. All in all, this place is resting on its past reputation, and in my opinion, it's unearned.

I ok with that but not everyone wants steak. They had no choices for chicken or fish. The service was good at best , because the people who came in afterwards were served their food and on the way out and we had not been served food yet. I did see on the menu that they had banana fosters. That a joke it was bread pudding with ice cream on top and 3 slices of banana . I told the server this is anything but bananas foster and I felt insulted. She immediately took it off the bill. To which then I explained to her what bananas foster really was and she said it sounded good. She's never heard of it. Also I ordered mashed potatoes and I was told it was not up to standard and I have to make a second choice.. I will try to celebrate with my wife my 73 birthday with a nice dinner . The bill was over 200. And my did not get a steak, just a salad and soup. Not happy.

Unfortunately, the rest of the visit fell flat. My cocktail was way too sweet. And at $21, your drink should be perfect. Needless to say, I will not be going back and do not recommend this restaurant.

It was early on a Saturday night and the restaurant was empty but the large bar area was crowded. Before we left a large party arrived and a few more tables filled but it was not too crowded. We were told the ingredients for our cocktails were not available due to a large party the previous night then waited 30 min for the oysters Rockefeller, which were overcooked. I tried the ribs that seemed to be reheated and we got the smoked chicken that was pretty good. The grilled potatoes were raw inside and the greens were undercooked and lacked any flavor. So let's go... Prices are decent for the portion sizes, come on they are huge. Pasta, ribs and chicken dishes are the winners. The side veggie egg rolls not so much. Don't order them if you are expecting $15 egg rolls because that is not what you will get. The bread is fresh and warm, so good! The oil dipping sauce is tasty as well. The service was great, very attentive. The mixed cocktails were excellent. When you think golf course, you have to remember this is Akron and this place is on the edge of a neighborhood. It was nice enough for the enjoyable dinner we had for decent prices. Again the service was on point and the cocktails rocked. Bonus for having vegetarian options. I look forward to returning and enjoying the patio that over looks the golf course. They also set up a few weekly events so be prepared to see an artist preform on a random night.
