I'm struggling as I create this review as my feelings here really are torn regarding this establishment. I recently had dinner here with my stepfather and I do want to state that the staff were incredibly friendly. Additionally, the cocktails were excellent. The food however, was really quite bad. I ordered the crabcakes as an appetizer, and they were very undercooked. by that I mean, super mushy and falling apart, not crispy at all whatsoever. As my entrée, I ordered their prosciutto wrapped halibut, which I was really excited about initially. That excitement came to a screeching halt when I attempted to cut into it, as it was seriously and legitimately hard, I mean, tough. As you know, halibut should be incredibly tender, and this was so badly overcooked it was criminal. The bed of greens that the fish were sat on top of were so horribly over salted They were inedible. Not to mention that they too were incredibly overcooked and were absolute mush. I was crushed! They of course offered to remake the dish for me, but at that point, I was so nervous at what I would receive that I just simply decided to order their burger special of the evening, which was fine, but was nothing extraordinary. I will say that the french fries were really good however. All in all, not a completely terrible evening as the cocktails were really excellent, and the staff was very sweet. Cute little spot! Love the GF listings on their menu is great because there was a lot to choose from and gluten free buns! Food was great - comments from the table was "best chicken sandwich ever!" And fries are real - crispy and delicious! Will be back! read more

We stopped into NuVue for dinner last week and will definitely be back. The menu offers a nice selection of seafood and the ambiance is very cozy. They also had tasty cocktails (bonus points for offering blue cheese stuff olives with the dirty martinis). I will say service was a little slow for how small of a place it is, by the time we finally ordered they were out of my husbands first choice and then it was awhile before they came back for our new order, but the staff were friendly and clearly had a lot of regulars stopping in. read more

We had a very good meal here. Very unassuming casual spot. We had the goat cheese salad, ahi tuna, hush puppies as appetizers. All very good. Then we had the shrimp and grits, Philly steak, chicken fingers and lobster mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was claw meat only but still good. The rest was also good. Hubby came here on a Monday for the burger special. We got an appetizer the potatoes skins which were good, the burgers were cooked well and to the correct temp, we both ordered medium. We upgraded the fries to the garlic parm fries which I didn't particularly care for, the sauce made the fries soggy. The waitress was nice and attentive. We were traveling through Ohio and needed a late night Friday dinner. This venue is quite nice and our hostess directed us to a quiet table. We had the goat cheese medallions. They were very rich. The marinara sauce was great, but it was advertised as vodka sauce which I would have preferred. The fish sandwich was great. We opted for spinach instead of fries and that was a good choice. I was going to start off this review saying this is a "reboot" of the old Clearview space - however "reboot" is absolutely the wrong word.... "Renaissance" might be more appropriate Just a fantastic experience - sophisticated menu, great bar, sleek interior decor, great service... we had the burgers, which are literally made from their steak cuts, so steak burgers, and cannot wait to return and try more items... The food was a solid 4. Service a 4.5 Ambiance a 4 we started with a couple salads. A side and a Caesar. The white french dressing is homemade and awesome. The Caesar I would have preferred a wedge and not chopped so small. Hard to fork it up. For entrees I had the hot wings which were just ok. A little over done forgot my blue cheese and a bit dry. The dressing would have helped. The wife had shrimp and grits. That's a go to dish for her and she LOVED IT. Said it was one of the better shrimp and grits she ever had. Lots of flavor. The drinks were great, the old fashion was legit. Lastly the key lime pie. Was good not crazy good. They have made a major change here. We were here when it was the previous restaurant and vowed never to return again. Well here we are and will return. Good job. read more

When we got there at 4:10 pm we wanted a 1/2booth with a larger table, they said no, they are reserved already for 6pm. We started to leave but turn around and went in and took a table. I got their special for dinner, it was a macadamia crusted chicken and a salad $26:00 and my wife got a Hamburg with no bun and a salad. For appetizers.we had chicken wings. The chicken wings were like eating dry potato chips , we moved on to eat our main course. My wife's had ordered a hamburger with out a bun (but came with the bun) and the salads didn't have enough dressing so they were dry. They did bring more dressing out for that, when we asked. Right after they brought our salad out they brought the dinner out, no time to eat our salads. My dinner was very dry crusted chicken. It will be a long time before I go back if they stay open. When we left the 1/2 booths were still open and nobody was setting there yet., but they did sit a couple at one of the 1/2 booths saying they needed that table a 6. This may be my new favorite restaurant in the area! Met a friend here for dinner on Friday night and had a great experience. It was busy but not packed and we were seated right away. Our server was friendly and attentive and she told us the place will have been open for a year in April. They have a good menu with a fair but not overwhelming amount of choices and things were priced reasonably. I went for the breaded tofu entree and it was fantastic! Sautéed vegetables and breaded tofu, tossed in a sweet soy glaze and served over cauliflower noodles. The veggies were a fresh, delightful mix, the tofu was crisp, and the sauce was flavorful and not drenched. And if the noodles were made out of cauliflower like they say you couldn't tell at all! Brought customers here for a work dinner after seeing it was highly reviewed. They took a same day reservation which was nice and the hosts were extremely welcoming and warm. We sat in the back corner of the somewhat cramped interior which was near the restrooms and not by any windows. Our server was busy serving roughly half of the restaurant so we did not see her often enough but she did the best she could. Our group had the ahi tuna, crab cakes, two filet mignons, and I had the New York strip. For a medium rare steak it was below average in flavor and texture so I would not recommend it. Everyone else seemed to really enjoy their food but I can honestly say I was a little disappointed although I would definitely give it another try to see if my experience was a one-off. read more
