I hate leaving reviews like this but I've had enough of dealing with this company. Their sales dept is great (Sam Samuel is amazing ) their service department sucks. Service managers that dont listen to the problem then they can't find the issue. Then we had to drive up there to show them after they let it sit for two weeks because the "Service" coordinator decided to take some. time off (I have no issue with that, see below). It took us 3 minutes to reproduce the issue with the "Service" coordinator. Then knowing full well that these techs had to go to class for two days the didn't even arrange for some other techs to cover for them, shit THEY DIDNT EVEN CALL TO TELL US THEY WOULD BE GONE TO TRAINING, SAME FOR WHEN OUR "service" coordinator decided he was going to take time off. The communication to the customer(s) is abysmal and a joke. We talked to the actual service manager who said because we purchased two vehicles from them that "We were part of the LaLonde family" and they were waiting on license plates for rentals and we were like 40 something in line for a car and he was going to pull out name to the head of the list. Another lie as we got a call from the "service" coordinator instead of the service manager to tell us they were going to keep the car through new years because they were waiting on parts (I can understand that) and there was a long list of other people who were in line for a car. I called him out on his bullshit and told him about the conversation with the service manager. He said he talked to him but this is what they could do. So you have an incompetent service dept lead by a failure of service manager. I honestly hope that Ms LaLonde sees this. Go talk to your sales manager, he knows who I am and feel free to give me a call. I will NEVER take my vehicles to them again. Side note, when we bought our vehicles they were in the middle of a huge Internet outage. it had been nearly two weeks. I'm an IT manager by trade and fixed the cashier's printer so she could print again and help get orders printer that she had paperwork for. Yep sure feel like a "member of the family alright". The most inappropriate scam advertising I've ever seen. Don't fall for the scam ads, you did not win a tv. Called beforehand to make sure was legit and was confirmed to have won a "tv worth $600". They sold me a 3 year old Jeep with 23k miles on it for 35 grand and it only blue booked for 18 the day I bought it, plus 20% interest every month, and promised me I could refinance it in a few months. Now I can't refinance it because I owe Chrysler twice as much as the car is worth. Definitely don't go here as a first time buyer. Oh and also the car they sold me had a leaking windshield the from day 1. They would not work with me on scheduling an appointment to get it fixed. Like many others we were sent the monopoly sweepstake voucher where many people "won" a 60' tv, I brushed it off as a scam when I first received it until I got a call from a man name Brian telling me I had won and need to come claim my prize. Being skeptical I ask what the catch is and he replied "no catch/scam at all we have a tv waiting for you to pick up before Saturday" upon arriving to the dealership (which I drove 45 minutes to get to). I was greeted with disappointment after being hassled to trade in or buy a new vehicle and realizing there indeed was no TV but a chance to win one if my numbers aligned with the winning numbers. I would rather drive to the middle of Kentucky then ever come here to buy a vehicle if it was the last dealership in Michigan. Some places would take advantage of travelers but here we got expert advice and we were back on the road with no charges. We recently had our first child and needed an SUV! He called up there and they only had 5 minutes until close. Salesperson Justin Stiles answered the phone and set us up with an appointment for the next morning. He said he would come in early and meet us! We drove the hour to Imlay City and met with Justin. He was super nice and we told him flat out what we were looking for, how much we were willing to spend. Their sweepstakes is bull shit. The card makes it look like you won a TV or something similar, but then they make you match a "confirmation code" in the small fine print. The code decides whether you win or not, rather than the scratch off game. The manager has a bad attitude and treats customers poorly. So after hearing their relentless commercials on the radio, I took the afternoon off work and drove over an hour away to Imlay City expecting them to help me with my over-milegaed leased Jeep. As I walked in, the place was a ghost town. Three different people noticed me and didn't say anything. I had to walk around the showroom and approach a sales person for help. Upon hearing my situation, the sales guy said they couldn't help me because "they aren't affiliated with Chrysler Capital" and that I needed to "go to another CDJR dealer that is". How is a Chrysler dealer not associated with Chrysler Capital?! Also, my lease was up in less than a week. He told me that I should have came in a month ago and that they couldn't help me because I waited too long to come in, which makes no sense at all because I was still within my lease period! Thankfully, the sales guy himself recommended I go to Parkway CDJR in Clinton Twp! They were able to help me right away and got me into a new Ram the same day. Thanks for the recommendation! LaLonde has some excellent marketing, but shady and poor customer service. Don't waste your time making the trip. It seemed like I was annoying to them and they just wanted me out of there. Sweepstake is a total scam! It's just to get you in the door to try and make a sale. The card makes it look like you won a free TV, then when you get there they check the number on the flyer with a number on a different flyer, if it's a match you win the TV. So I didn't win the TV and they handed me a $100 gift card, used it last night and it's not a gift card. It provides $100 in discounts. So there was 10% off the bill and that was it. I encourage all to file a complain with the Better Business Bureau. Manager there wouldn't give me back the card when I was done either so I could show people, no class at this place. The worst dealership I have ever dealt with! Shady and lives up to every negative stereotype of a dishonest car salesman. Manager refused to speak with us after we requested his presence. Hidden fees were slipped into paperwork that jacked the price up $1500 after the purchase price was agreed apon and purchase agreement already signed. Their tech that installed the remote start damaged the trim on the door jam and then blamed my mother purse and he didn't even put the dash back together correctly. Made an 8:00am appointment to have brakes done on my truck and also have suspension inspected while it was in (still has warranty coverage thus why I went to the dealership). At 4:45, I called to check on the status and they had just finished looking at it. Said I needed pads and rotors all the way around but the suspension was fine, so my total would be $1,400.... plus they would need it one or possibly two days longer to fix the brakes. Needless to say, I paid their pricey $169 inspection fee and declined further service. I took my truck to a reputable mechanic who said I only need rear pads and rotors (front brake pads were still 50%). Cost a total of $280 there and they had it completed within 2 hours of my appointment time. So no, I would NOT recommend the service department at this dealership for multiple, obvious reasons. read more

I bought a Dodge Ram here in 2000. When they presented the sales papers for me to sign, they had "accidentally" typed in a higher sales price. The salesman said "The office girls have gone home for the night, so I can't change it right now. Go ahead and sign this one and we'll just correct it in the morning." I clearly must have forgotten to wash the word "STUPID" off of my forehead that morning. When I refused to sign it, he miraculously was able to find someone in the office to correct the paperwork. Looking back, I should've just walked out the door, but I was younger and less wise then. Proving that I am indeed stupid, I took my Ram back there three times for service. The first two issues, a transmission failure and lifter replacement, were covered under warranty. Both repairs were questionable, but since it was under warranty, I'll admit that I was less skeptical than I would have been had I been paying for the repair. The third time was for a complete front-end suspension replacement to the tune of $1100. When I picked the truck up, the problem still existed and was VERY noticable. I asked if they'd even test driven the truck after the repair and they insisted that they had. How they didn't notice the wild wobble is beyond me. Anyway, the problem turned out to be loose lugnuts on the right rear tire caused by Penske not proper tightening them after they'd installed new tires on the truck the day before. Diagnosing loose lugnuts on a rear tire as a front end suspension problem *could* have been an honest mistake, but it's enough to keep me from going back. I've run into other people in the area who have had similar sales and repair experiences with Crandall, so I'm inclined to believe that shady business practices are the norm here. read more

I've bought plenty of cars from dealerships, and I've been to a ton lately since specific cars are hard to find. I will say this dealership is the worst I have ever been to. Their way of getting you to purchase is all wrong. In this instance, I drove up to a car I wanted to check out, I was immediately greeted with a smile and told we should go inside to get more info. Cool, I thought, I mean I just wanted to see how much the vehicle was since it wasn't listed. So we get inside, and she immediately asks for my SSN, I said no because I just wanted to check out the car and test drive it, if I liked it then we could negotiate. She insisted, then she let up on that but went on to how much I was going to put down on the car. Remember the price wasn't listed and she wouldn't even tell me, so why on Earth would I tell her how much money I would be putting down. I had explain to her that there's a lot of possible pieces in order for me to know how much I would put down I would have to know how much the car is. She began to get frustrated so I stood up to leave, she noticed I was about to go, so she runs over to get the manager. Fine I thought, I'll give it another go. So I explain I just want to see the car but she won't let me without a SSN, and she won't tell me the price of the car. She said because it was a liquidation event she could not tell me the price until she had my information, saw my credit. So I assume they wanted to see how much I could afford before they gave me a price, and jack up the price. Horrible way of trying to gain trust. He tells her to go get the keys. So after a few minutes of getting ping ponged but these two, we take the car for a quick spin, and as I drive the car I realize even if this car was 'the one', I didn't want to give my time or money to this place. After the drive I handed over the key and walked to my car. Honestly, I've never, never been to a dealership where they try to swindle you as you walk in the door. I mean how hard is it to have a visible price let the customer see a car without trying to do a credit check. That's a sure way to lose a customer. I've been to so many dealerships recently and not a single one, NONE have had that ridiculous policy. I had hoped it was just a one time thing, maybe a new salesperson, but when I told a friend about the bizarre situation, he said the exact thing happened to him when he went there. So if you decide to give this place a try, be cautious and don't be afraid to say no, if they want the sale the ball will be in your court. Do not take your vehicle here for service! I had a breathalyzer on my vehicle and told the mechanic doing the oil change I need to drive it onto the lift in case the breathalyzer goes off. He said I'm not allowed to do that and that he had to do it but assured me he's done it before so if it goes off he'll blow in it so I don't get violated and have to pay almost a hundred dollars to get it reset so my car didn't get turned off. He failed to blow in it when it went off so it cost me almost a hundred dollars to get it reset. When I called the dealership about it they said they'd give me a refund on the oil change but then I wouldn't be able to go there for service anymore. I didn't end up getting the refund and when I went in there to get my key fob battery replaced they couldn't even cover that for me, a $5 battery after costing me almost a hundred dollars because of their mechanics incompetence. If possible I would give them 0 stars. Let's start from the beginning. I was assisted by Jeff and Brandon. I was near the end of my lease and decided after hearing those commercials for the past years to give them a chance considering they are over an hour away and not anywhere near my area. I had payments remaining on the vehicle I was trading in, the dealership knew this considering they didn't have access to getting my payout info and I had to provide that to them. Once they received the 3 payout options for turning in a lease they picked the wrong one leaving me to pay the remaining payment that I would not learn about until 2 months later which now has a late fee. I was promised by the manager Jeff who helped with the sale and apparently no longer works there that this matter would be resolved and they would get it handled. They promised me I would have no other money owed to Ally for my previous lease. Moral of the story is they messed up even after promising to take care of it, then when I have tried to contact someone else to handle this matter no one seems to care to call me back or even try to resolve this situation. Also good to note I have dealing with this for about 8 months. Not only did they receive my business but they also leased a vehicle to my mother as well at the same time. I have tried calling to talk to someone to assist but as stated before they don't care. I will never bring my business back let alone refer anyone to them. My husband and I went to lalonde Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealership in Imlay, Michigan because of the radio commercials...well YESTERDAY (July 18, 2021) we all but had the truck we wanted but had forgotten pay stubs. So, today, faxed pay stubs to the dealership. A different guy, Jeff Gillingham, took over the sale from Brandon and told us they needed 7500 down payment. My husband told them that was too much and he would look else where. Jeff then called my husband and pretty much laughed at him...now my husbands credit is good...its not great but its good enough for this...and told him they couldn't touch him. So, after an hour or so, Jeff calls my husband back and informs him they would need $18 thousand for a down payment due to his credit...we were flabbergasted! How did it go from a trade in and $5000 down to trade in and $7500 down to trade in and $18 thousand down!! Just from yesterday!!! My husbands credit didn't drop that bad in just one day!! Totally ridiculous and his laughing was so unprofessional!!! I will be posting reviews in several other sites along with this one!!! Beware service desk girl LISA is married to head mechanic (they both work on commission) they tried to charge me 18 dollars per spark plug for what I can buy for 6, and yes that's MOPAR iridium plugs! They try to suck you in with super high diagnostic costs banking that you wont throw that money away when they tell you the ridiculous inflated repair costs, I gave them the 120 dollars and told them to show it up their *** i was not paying the inflated costs, what they quoted me 745 dollars for I had done AT ANOTHER JEEP DEALER for 350 total. If you need service and want it done right, stay far far far away from Lalonde, and especially their service manager Marc Lafata; he was more than disrespectful to my girlfriend. And gave us the worst service ive ever had from a dealership. Took 4 sets of pads and rotors to fix the grumble in my Breaks; because in his words "the auto-zone parts they use are junk". so after an extra week waiting on parts to be shipped from Chrysler they were better, but never 100%. I gave up wasting my time and giving up my jeep for weeks at a time because they cant do get anything right. Recently i had the service 4x4 light come on, Marc then charged me $150 and said it was fixed. I didn't even make it out of parking lot and the light came back on. He then refused to give my $150 back saying it was for a diagnostic fee. When the problem that occurred should've been covered by powertrain warranty, which means no charge for anything. He said if he refunded my money they would never service my vehicle again to take it somewhere else. They will screw you sideways. read more

DAN from the service department told me that my warranty was only valid for 12,000 miles. The receipt stated that it was a 24 month unlimited mile warranty. When I asked him why it wasn't stated on the receipt he said I don't know and hung up on me. After trying to call back several times and put right to voicemail I tried calling to complain and of course was sent to another voicemail. These people are common criminals and liars. Complete scum work here. 454.20 in work with only 4.20 being parts so 450 for labor and you can't honor the warranty you gave. We came into this place having an employee choice numberfrom Chrysler (FCA)... We really liked the Cherokee. Unfortunately credit rating was an issue. We were asked what our monthly payment max was, which we indicated was $350. After running credit, which was admittedly poor we were told we were not eligible for anything close to that monthly payment due to credit. We wanted to leave, but they will bring in a second person, an ex-marine. Not to be too lengthly but the monthly payment ended up being $450 for a stock Dodge Journey. It was different than the Journey we test drove. In fact we weren't told much but the feeling was that we were lucky to even be able to get a car. I am very bitter about this.. If you tell a dealership your max is $350 and they still keep going for the $450 payment there is an issue. We did sign the agreement, it wasn't forced but I'm not happy at all about the transaction. We are paying way over what we should be paying. I believe these are nice people, but do NOT go there if you have bad credit. You will be railroaded into a bad deal. Don't settle... I would never recommend this place after what I know now. You will be treated very nicely but they will not quit until you take a loan at a rate that is almost loan-sharking. The ads from the KIA-Chrysler dealerships that are affiliated are not lying about making sure you will leave with a car. But make sure you understand they will do this at interest rates that are above 12% which is crazy. Unfortunately I wish we had never signed the agreement. We are paying $450 a month when with good credit it would be about $250. It is not the dealerships fault that our credit was not good, but the issue I have is that we set an amount that we thought we could afford ($350) and they kept goading us until we accepted the $450 rate (which is actually around $465).. Anyways be aware, these are nice people up front, but do not care about your budget. Be aware of a person who claims to be a lifelong US Marine. I don't doubt his pedigree, but he will use his status and his war stories to try to get you to sign.... Just a thought. read more

I opened and saw three 7s which directly to the right of it said win 60 in smart tv. So i called the number to confirm and it said you won. I still didn't really believe it so i called the dealership and asked them how to get my 60in tv(i specially said tv) and they said just come in and bring I.D. When i got there i took a quick survey and the lady says just because its directly to the right doesnt mean you won it. I was mindbown on how you can live with yourself scamming people. But before i could freak out i was given a $100 dining gift card. Heres the real stinger, its a gift card for special offers. Just complete junk and i cant believe i fell for it. This place is an absolute joke! Do not waste your time here. I came here on a Saturday morning, drove over an hour because I had received confirmation from the sales lady, Tanya G, that she could get me into a Ram lease. We had talked over the phone and she stated several times we had a done deal. She even gave me an idea of what the lease would look like. When I arrived she wasn't even there. Some other salesman took care of me and literally made me fill out all new paperwork. What a waste of time! I already filled everything out online. Tanya eventually came back and tried to play it off like she forgot who I was. To make a long story short, she completely bait and switched me at the last moment. Telling me I'd be paying much more than what we talked about over the phone and had no sympathy besides "there's nothing I can do". Do yourself a favor and go to a professional dealership. These people are in jeans and sweatshirts and the dealership is dirty.
