Water heater stopped working, pilot light wouldn't stay on. Had someone come check it out. Initial analysis was standard, led status said low voltage issue. They told me the water heater was out of warranty and they would look for a replacement part but immediately talked about replacing the entire water heater which I dismissed without further troubleshooting (why would I replace a tv if the remote stopped working?). They said they'd call me back. I called another plumber who checked and confirmed that the water heater was still under warranty (which saved me $600 in parts) and was back the next day with the part and now I have hot water again. I waited a week before posting this just to see if they'd call me back. Never did, guess they didn't want to help unless they could have gotten an entire (unnecessary) water heater replacement. Lesson learned: you can check online to confirm whether your water heater is still under warranty. read more

Used Lalo's services twice now! First time in Oct 2023 when my parents' washer was leaking water. Called Lalo and he sent out Junior and another crew member. They were both very professional and helped explain what was causing the leak. They cleared the pipes for the washing machine and we haven't had an issue with leaking since! Second time was in January 2024 - my parents' water heater had a problem where hot water wasn't coming out. Called Lalo that Sunday morning and he sent out two guys again within a few hours. They had to dig and cap off a few lines before they found the source of the complicated mess--and did a great job and put in a cut off valve for me. I have a kitchen drain line that clogs every few year - right around Thanksgiving. Lalos is one of the few reliable companies that can blast thru grease with water pressure. Main drain between the house and street get's clogged about once every few years, neighbors tree roots. I've owned the house for 28yrs, so you can imagine how many times I've had this done. Another 5 (well deserved) stars for Lalo. We had a problem with our washing machine not dispensing cold water. Lalo sent a team out and unfortunately, one washing load later, the machine was not working again. One call to Lalo and he promised to be at our home HIMSELF first thing SUNDAY morning. Lalo worked for more than an hour. He had to separate the plumbing from an old water softener. The old softener was hauled off, and the plumbing was neatly sealed. Our water shutdown valve was replaced, and the machine is back doing what we want it to do. There was no additional charges for this extra work, and Mr. Lalo was most polite and pleasant. Beware! Avoid this company if you are not working directly with Lalo! My first review was positive due to the fact I spoke with and contracted worked Lalo himself to instal a garbage disposal. After my positive experience w/ Lalo I referred his service to my elderly parents and their elderly friend. On both occasions Lalo's employees (not Lalo) attempted to take advantage of them. $1400 to run a snake down their shower & $700 to change the flushing mechanism in their friends toilet. Definitely would recommend Lalo's for plumbing needs. My sewage line was cracking and after getting an estimate, one plumber gave me a quote of $14k telling me that I should replace the whole line. He mentioned that I had a type of plastic that is too difficult to just cut and replace. Wanting another opinion, and just about everyone wanting to charge me $200 to go into my crawlspace for an estimate, Lalo's team came out the next day, told me that it's relatively easy to fix, gave me a good price and didn't even charge for an estimate. I reached out to Lalo's via Yelp and they were the first to respond to my request. A toilet scrub brush was flushed down my toilet. Within 2 days the bathroom and shower pipes were resisting water and as expected water started flowing out of showers and toilets. Anyhow, Lalo informed me that they would arrive 8 am - 9 am.
