You can't go anywhere in or and Portland and get this kind of hair cut for less than $40, and if they touch your beard up add another $10-$20 on top of that. Then there's tip, because you have to tip. After my experience I will be coming back again. Jeff did a great job cutting my hair. He's an amazing person, and we had a wonderful exchange. Don't listen to the naysayers! Anyone can a bad experience anywhere, and I'd bet that wouldn't be the case for you, if you chose to come do business here. It's an affordable option for someone who's balling on a budget.

So by now, he is able to compare from past experiences and tell me if he enjoyed getting his haircut done or not. We haven't really found a barber he was completely satisfied with, until now! We needed to cut my son's hair in short notice and I was pleased to see that this barber shop allowed walk-ins bcuz so many around only do by appointments. When we walked-in, we didn't have to wait long for his turn. I showed Joffer a picture of how my son wanted his haircut to look and Joffer mentioned not to make the sides too faded/bald, which I really appreciated bcuz I really didn't want it too short for him. My son was done in no time and he even was offered a lollipop in the end! But what really made the icing on the cake was what my son told me after his haircut - As he was smiling from ear to ear, I asked him how was it and he told me that he (Joffer) was by far his favorite barber, not because he was Filipino (like us hehe) but because he was nice to him and always blow dried his hair frequently throughout his haircut to prevent him from getting itchy! What I got was a 5 minute haircut while everyone else was taking their time with their clients. It's not the haircut or experience I was expecting whatsoever and will now have to go somewhere else to try and salvage what hair I have left.

You're required to agree to their cancellation policy, which is basically a nice way of threatening you with a 50% charge if you don't cancel before a certain time. I thought this was a bit excessive but I was confidant I could make my appointment and ultimately didn't have a problem with providing my credit card info. After booking my appointment, you're subsequently bombarded with texts and emails (I counted 6 total) about your appointment times, asking you to respond and confirm you're still going and then appointment reminders leading up to the day and time. (These people are serious about you showing up!) My appointment was at 11:00am. I received a call from my stylist at 9:45am (the day of!!) telling me she works two jobs and they booked her for the HairM job on the wrong day and had to cancel my appointment. I was left scrambling to try and find a haircut before leaving town. Pretty disappointing experience for a service I never got to experience....
