I previously used Lambert Heating for a 2-zone HVAC installation and was happy with their service and started using them for any problems that needed fixing. However, during the last year I've had two instances where the furnace stopped working and I had to wait 2-weeks to get a tech to the house. I cancelled the last appointment because who wants to suffer for 2-weeks just to get service. I called another company and they came to the house the next day and it was fixed. So I think Lambert is probably good for new installations but if you want service, I would go elsewhere unless you're OK waiting a long time. And to be honest, when I need my next furnace (unfortunately probably in the next few years) I won't be using Lambert because I know they won't be able to service any problems in a timely manner. We found Alan's company after working with several average AC/heating vendors over the years in Long Beach. Alan and his staff respond in a timely and courteous manner. They arrive within the time window they give you. They call/text to give you an ETA. We have had a great experience with them servicing our AC/heating unit over the years. We do a yearly maintenance service in May to ensure all systems are ready to go for the summer. This proved incredibly helpful when our AC unit died during the record heat wave this summer (July 2024). Gabriel came out that day to assess the problem and found a leak. He refilled the coolant to get us through the heat wave. It turned out the leak was much more extensive and the coolant was not enough. We needed a new unit. They emailed us a quote for a new condenser unit right away. The price was very fair and Alan, himself, came out to install the new unit as soon as possible. My first experience was several years ago and the owner Alan came out and replaced my variable fan on furnace unit. He also wen the extra mile to find out that the unit was still under warranty so I got it for a great price. If I remember correctly, they sent him one the first time that wasn't up to his standards so he sent it back and they sent another one. He installed it, and was very professional and polite. Manuel has come by several times to service my A/C and furnace. He's always polite covers his shoes when he comes inside, always explains what he's doing and why. He'll answer all your questions and let you know what his recommendations are for your problems. When he's working, I'll hang out and chat with him while he's running diagnostics on my A/C. Some contractors don't like you bothering them. Manuel will gladly explain everything he's doing. If you hang out long enough you could probably learn a thing or two about your system. I don't really shop around for best price. I look for people I can trust to do the job right, charge a fair price and answer any questions I have. Have nothing but awesome things to say about Lambert and especially the technician M Higuera who came out. He was so helpful in explaining how things worked. My heater was hot and then went to just blowing cold air. We immediately found the igniter to be bad. He went out and got a brand new identical model. My 12 yr old Rudd AC condenser unit was not working and I was provided with a full replacement recommendation by another HVAC company I found online. Doing my research, I found that Amana had good warranties so I decided to call local partners. Found 4-5 partners but many did not have yelp reviews until I came across Lambert. Scheduled appointment and met with Alan (the owner) to come out which was fast, easy, and within couple days of my call. When Alan arrived, he was super friendly. I told him the situation and he immediately had questions since it didn't add up. He shared that he's been doing this a long time and wanted to take a look first. He has high standards and wanted to do his own due diligence. 10 minutes later, I heard the AC unit turn on. He discovered the problem and it was a bad thermostat. I was very happy since I didn't have to cop out thousands of dollars for a new unit. I am scheduled to have them replace the thermos as next steps. I don't write many reviews, but felt I needed to do so because of the superb service I received from Lambert. I own a rental unit in the LA area that I manage remotely. I needed to hire someone very dependable and trustworthy since I needed to install a new HVAC unit (old unit was at least 40 years old). I received about 4 proposals and talked to each of the contractors over the phone. I talked to Alan and he was very professional and up front with his proposal and explained what he thought was best for my unit. Further, his price was the most reasonable among the other contractors, even though that was not the deciding factor in selecting Lambert. Alan informed me of a significant rebate for a heat pump, which I was not aware of, but that's when I realized Alan was very honest and looking out for my best interest. I was referred to this company from people in the community app called Next Door. I called in because my A/C unit didn't seem to be draining. Manuel called letting me know he was running early and if he could arrive 30 before the appointment time. Once he got here he tested my vents, vacuumed the drain line. Another company gave me an estimate of several thousand dollars to get my furnace going after a cold rainy holiday weekend. On 07/05/2017 I had Manuel Higuera come out to replace the filter for my A/C. What I thought was strange was that he kept saying he knows people and that he is honest. From my experience, if you are honest, you don't need to tell someone. Furthermore, he was gone for a long time and told me my a/c needed repair in the amount of $3,300. I asked him what would happen if it was not repaired and he stated it would just stop. I told him that I could not afford that and would take my chances. To make a long story short, Gorsuch came to replace the filter and it turns out it was thrown in there and a new structure had to be built for the filter which cost me $550.0. I don't want anyone else to go through this. Please do not use this company. BTW-I just found the receipt today and Manuel still works there. read more

We've been using and recommending Lambert Heating and Air for almost 20 years. Alan installed our heating and AC system in our house when we first bought it and has been servicing it ever since. The unit came with a 10 year warranty so the few needed repairs/service in the first ten years were covered with no questions asked.
