Birth manicurist n pedicurist seemed friendly enough, but early on had to ask her to be more gentle so i was about to relax. THEN my gel manicure chipped after only FOUR days n took a pic to prove it as I couldn't go back immediately for being out of town & when I did, manager was BELLIGERENT to me & refused to give me even a partial refund!! When you walk in they ask you to go wash your hands, which i think is great! I have had different nail technicians and I like Casey the best. She takes her time, pays attention to you, and to detail. I can't remember the name of the owners fiancé but he is my second favorite because he also pays attention to detail but is faster. If you're in a rush ask for him. Can't speak for anyone else really but I've been in there every 1-2 weeks for the last 3 months and I've never heard one complaint from a customer and I never go on the same day, it's always a different time too. They are busiest in the morning so if you don't make an appointment you may want to "walk in" after lunchtime when there isn't a long wait. read more

I came in for a 4:00 appointment in which I received a confirmation email for. I arrive and lady at the front desk acted like she didn't know I was coming. I was told to pick a color and sat for 15 mins until someone else asked me If I could wait 15 more minutes. I promptly got up and left. Go to Big Apple instead! I honestly can't believe all the positive ratings this place has. After just one week my daughters nails were lifting and three fell off completely. She went in to ask if they would fix them and they said yes. After fixing them he said there was a $10 charge, not a big deal, but she just paid $60 for them a week ago, there is an expectation that they would last longer than 7 days. My other daughter had hers done at the same time and also had some lifting, she was able to save them by regluing them, but did lose one nail. She also got hers fixed, but there was no charge. So it seems like if they do an okay job, and just one nail needs repair, they'll fix it for free, but if they do a REALLY TERRIBLE job and more than one nail falls off, you have to pay to have them fixed. A friend also went with my daughter to have their nails done, and we found out their nails are also lifting. TLDR: If you want nails that last more than a week, dont go here. Moral of the story, we wont be back. read more

I've tried this nail salon four times because it was recommended to me. Each time, I've been placed in a chair and ignored for 20 minutes or more before the water was placed in the foot spa. Every time, the water gets cold because I have to wait again for the actual pedicure. It there is going to be a wait, you should say something. Don't ignore your customers. I have had to wait 40 minutes or more regardless of the day or time I visited. And it takes well over 2 hours for a classic pedicure and manicure on top of the wait. And the polish usually looks like I did it myself (not a good thing). Today was the last straw. The place was not tidy, and I was ignored until I put my shoes on. I've made an appointment elsewhere and won't be back. read more

My usual nail bar was temporarily closed for relocation and I needed a fill in and file down badly. It broke my heart to "cheat" but I had no choice and was honestly worried about the quality of work to expect because of past experiences in every other salon (with the exception of my nail salon for the past 3 years). My nail tech, Long, did an amazing job. I have been really impressed with everything about how he did my nails. 1) I have colored acrylic and initially he wasn't sure if he had a match so I picked out a gel polish. After realizing he did have a match he let me know (vs just going with the more expensive service of additional gel polish) - I went ahead with the polish anyway bc it was a great color. 2)Long noted that the quality of work on my current grown out acrylics was great work. I appreciate that he is confident in his owns skills enough to acknowledge good work from another tech. 3)Long handled my nails gently and did not nic me with the file even once while still getting the acrylic smoothed and blended right to the edges. 4) I walked out with the perfect length, the perfect shape, great consistency, and not one dust particle or tiny fiber trapped in the top coat- it's been 3 days and every time I look at my nails I'm pleased- while I will be returning to my regular salon once they are in their new location, if I'm ever in a pinch again, Long will be the only other nail tech I will trust. Only reason for 4 stars is the location decor and set up is your basic nail salon fare and I like something more chic visually. read more

My friend loves this place and we went together to get our nails done. Hers and her mothers nails looked very good while mine were below average. I got gel on my finger, my friend got SNS and her mother got acrylics. The two people that did theirs were great! The lady who did mine made my nail beds bleed and the actual polish was done poorly. I recently moved to the Woodstock area from out of state. I have tried a few of the nail places for pedicures in Woodstock that were recommended on Yelp. I found them all to be of very good quality. I do like Lamour the best. They use tub liners and sealed tools for cleanliness. My pedicure still looks great 3 weeks later. They are very friendly and I love that they have mini pedi chairs for little ones. read more

I came in with an appointment for set of nails and pedicure. I waited and waited. Then I asked the head girl and was promised I would be next, "five minute". Then 20 minutes later, still no service. I had somewhere to be that night and I told them that. My nail appointment girl kept taking others ahead of me after my pedicure started instead of starting on my nails. They let me soak and then left me sitting in the pedicure chair in between each step of pedicure, kept leaving and coming back to me. Ugh. Then I mentioned something to the girl that seemed to run the salon. She again promised me that my nails would be finished by the time my pedicure was finished. I mentioned that the pedicure was dragging on and on. I was in that pedicure chair a total of two hours that day. My nails WERE finished by the time pedicure was finished, but they purposely dragged out my pedicure service by leaving and coming back. I complained after the service was over. They were nasty about it. I paid and left. I did not want to cause a scene. I was humiliated and embarrassed enough already. I was trying to have a nice relaxing day, but got screwed. I will NOT EVER go here again. These girls were laughing about this whole thing and I was trying to be as quiet as possible as to not make a scene there. I paid $65.00 for the way I was treated. I was in tears when I left. And then was almost late to my function that evening due to the extra time spent there, plus the mood I had to go through before my fun night, just so these girls could make an extra buck because they were afraid the walkins would leave. So I got used. I called the next day and complained and the girl that answered the phone acted like she did not know what I was talking about. I told her I wanted a refund and she laughed and said "I doubt it, come here and we will talk about it" There was no way I was going to go there and talk about it and cause a scene. My pedicure was not that great that day, nails looked average, feet still rough. They are indispensable cocky attitude in there. I will take my money somewhere else. I walked in Lamour and 5 mins later I walked out! My daughter was getting a full set arcylic nails and I was going to check out there pedi's.. The male tech was insisted that my daughter wanted gel "it last longer,looks better" I said "No, because in 2 or 3 weeks she's ripping them off her hands, I do not want to pay the extra when the kid will be pulling them off".. So he gave me a patronizing laugh and told her to pick a color.. Then a heavy set female tech told my daughter to sit down at her station, my daughter said she needed to pick a color-the woman said "no, your getting acrylics".. Obviously there was a miscommunication--what rubbed me wrong was the woman seemed so annoyed- she had a nasty look, as if she bit into a lemon--with the patronizing laugh from the man-- I said thanks, but no thanks--I feel that this wasn't going to be as profitable as they would have liked (gel would have started at $50) and it seemed we were being snubbed.. I tried this salon out yesterday needing a pedi. I waited about 5 minutes and then was shown to a pedi chair which was nice. When I sat down the water was fine and they were busy so me and my friend sat for a few minutes waiting. After about 15 minutes our water was cold and had almost drained completely out of the bowl. The lady came back over and turned our water back on and it was so so hot. I took my feet out and my friends bowl almost overflowed and she finally turned them off. After sitting 30 more minutes and an empty bowl they re filled it and got started. After all that waiting I felt super rushed and my tech was rough. I will not return. read more

After going to many different salons around Kennesaw/Woodstock I finally found one that's trustworthy, does a great & consistent job and has reasonable prices. They are very helpful, and always take their time perfecting my nails. Other salons have lied to me saying that their gel is SNS, and charge me the amount SNS would be. Let me tell you about the 2 experiences that I received. The very first time I went I walked in the door they said hello and pick out your color and sit there(pointing to a chair for finger nails not a Pedi like I wanted. And there I sat and sat and sat and sat for what seemed like an hour before they spoke to me again. So I just got up and walked out. Went to Big Apple Nails right across the street and was immediately attended to. . The second time I went with a friend at her suggestion. We came in and they put us in Pedi chairs, filled the tubs with water that was too hot and then went to work on other people. I waited so long that my feet started to prune and the water got cold. They started to work on us and then someone else walked in and they went to work on them instead of finishing with me/us. By then my blood was boiling and all I/we wanted to do was leave but since I/we were already started(half-assed) then where were we going to go. I WILL NOT REVISIT THIS PLACE AGAIN. i F there was a way to give a half a star that is what I would give. read more

A nightmare nail salon. I contracted a fungus from a pedicure. This is my first fungus, but have read about them over the years. I noticed they did use the same scrubber as appeared in other pedicures that day. I'm very upset and called to tell them about it and the owner just laughed at me. I'm still trying to get rid of the infection and also was very insulted. There are other nail places close by. Choose a different one. read more
