I have given public talks on the topic of pizza. I'm a micro pizza expert. This pizza is just ok. First of all, it's Napolitan-style, which I think of all the styles is one of the weakest, though it's also one of the most popular. The char on the bottom of the crust wasn't the sort of deliberate, tasty char you get from new haven-style pizza. This char had a bit of bitterness that overwhelmed some bites. It was good, but not great. The greek salad I ordered was WAY overdressed -- just soaking in too much dressing. I wish I had thought to ask for the dressing on the side because the salad was nearly inedible because of how heavily it was dressed. It was a delicious salad, though. With oven-roasted peppers and lots of other goodies you don't find in lesser greek salads. It would have been amazing with less dressing. read more

There is no way this is neopolitan style pizza as advertised. The crust was not airy, light nor bubbly like you find in an actual neopolitan style pizza. Just because it's cooked in a 900 degree oven doesn't mean it burns away the bad taste... Neither of us liked either thing we got, the nachos were incredibly bland and the pizza was sub-par. They were absolutely slammed busy too so I'm not sure what everyone else was getting or liking about it. read more

We got our pizza to go today. I ordered the Donfather and my wife got a gluten free build your own. We both enjoyed our crusts. Mine has a great exterior crunch while still being chewy. It's hard to find a good gluten free crust, but this one this the spot today. Toppings were generous and they give a little bit of honey for dipping which was nice. First time at Pizza 900. We went we family for my birthday. We had a great time. It's a casual restaurant but has pretty good size inside with a complementary outside covered patio. Super friendly service. Most importantly, the food is amazing! I had #11 vegan version, Gardina Verde. Others ordered, Cheese Pizza, Margherita, Americano, Greek Salad and Caesar Salad. I found this spot on a whim through Yelp or maybe Google, good reviews convinced me to try takeout. I sent my partner to pick up the pizza and garlic Parmesan wings. This has long been on my list of pizza places to check out; unfortunately, we'd stop in on a Sunday (when they're closed) or prior to their business hours. Returning home from a place that closed early, we made a spontaneous decision to have pizza on Christmas Eve (thanks to Yelp's list of nearby places); we headed there without studying their extensive menu. In my haste ordering online, I'd apparently made an error in ordering. While I was quite willing to accept what I'd ordered as is, the impressively kind (my thoughts) "holiday crew" was very pleasant, patient, and helpful assisting me in placing my order as I'd intended. It must be attributed to their 900+-degree oven that our pizza was ready in a matter of a few minutes! I enjoyed the soft, pliable crust (although hubby didn't agree) and the flavorful toppings. Ordering a large pizza with half & half (wanting to experience 2 styles), #13 My Buddy Linda (regularly $21.99) and #11 Gardina Verde ($20.99) on gluten-free crust (+ $4.50), I was unprepared at the final bill of $39.86. It was explained to me that one is charged the full price for one of the selected pizza options PLUS the reduced price for the other half (plus, understandably, the extra cost for gluten-free crust). Paying by card was easy & convenient; however, I'd signed prior to seeing an option to enter a tip amount (and regretfully didn't have cash on me); please know it was unintentional; I extend my sincere apologies, as I greatly appreciated all of you present that day. I like that one may request customizations of their sauces, cheeses, meats, veggies, and finishing touches -- including doneness. Nice seating options inside and outside. Love, love, LOVEEE this place! We feel so fortunate to have this pizza spot nearby. The pizza is consistently delicious, and the flavors never disappoint. Our absolute favorite is the Maui laui. We've also tried the Donfather, which was really good, and the Thai pizza ...not our personal favorite, but that's more because fusion-style pizzas just aren't really our thing. Overall, this place delivers great flavor, great service, and a really enjoyable dining experience. When we ate there, a gentleman came around to check on everyone and make sure we were doing well, which we really appreciated. There's also plenty of seating, and the ambiance is warm and inviting. I'm thinking it's a bit over-rated food here. There really aren't many options for Neapolitan pizza around here though, so definitely give it a try. You must not be too hungry though. The pizzas aren't really big. It's good when the getting is good. If you're there on a Friday evening however, plan on ordering 2 hours in advance. Plan on spending $50 for two. Sheesh guys. C'mon. Omg...they literally had 8 people working in front of us at 2:30pm on a Saturday and it wasn't busy at all! It took over 25 mins to get ONE Cubano sandwich!?!? I mean what the hell were they all doing? Glad I wasn't on my lunch hour!! Turned my bad day into a good one. Who thought a simple pizza could do such wonders. This may be one of the top 3 pizza's I've had, you can tell they really put time into their craft and ingredients here. Long story short, had a horrible experience at another restaurant in another town. Came to Lake Forest to visit someone and decided to stop by Pizza 900 and give it a shot. I have gluten intolerance and got a simple gluten free pepperoni, but margarita style. If I had to sum up the pizza in one word, it would be "damn". And by damn, I mean damn good. I walked in in a bad mood, not too hungry, and I ended up eating the whole damn pizza and walked out happy and probably a pound fatter, but in a good way. So glad we stopped by Pizza 900 to have dinner! I saw reviews a while back and have been wanting to try. I LOVE wood fired pizza. They do it right! We went in on a weeknight and there were only a few people there. Parking is easy, lot in front and back. Restaurant also has a back entrance if you want to park in the emptier lot. Inside is roomy and clean and I love the menu board, and the clear panels where you can see the pizza being made. I was looking at the wine options when one of the team members offered some suggestions and even a taste of the three Italian wines! How awesome was that?! These are imported wines, not the stuff places usually have on stock that you can buy at the market. Wine was great, I choose one that was less sweet and more heavy. We ordered a spicy meat pizza, and the loaded nachos with no meat added. Pizza was so delish, sauce and toppings and cheese on point. The nachos were fully loaded, such good frijoles and cheese. The chips tasted very fresh. They give sour cream and salsas on the side. Definitely a top pizza spot, excited to try other items on the menu. read more

As a Peruvian I always am curious when restaurants attempt to bring Peruvian fusion into their food. The fact that they had a lomo saltado pizza was already intriguing but it literally blew me away. I don't know how in Inkan they managed to keep the fries so crispy, the onions, cilantro and the spicy sauce which is like the aji verde we all know and love staff is so friendly, smiles on their faces and making jokes as they make your fresh pizzas. I was beyond impressed and just love how this local spot has become a very well known pizzeria in this area. It's a great family hang out for any time of the day. We have never been here before but the guy at the counter explained all our options. I came because I wanted a wood fired pizza and they delivered. The lunch combo was a great option as it was an individual pizza and a side salad. Their Caesar salad was a generous portion and loaded with Parmesan and croutons. It almost overshadowed the pizza. The pizza was as I hoped but next time I would get less toppings as it gets soggy and overloaded with a lot of toppings. My wife got their homemade cheese enchiladas. This may partially explain why it took so long for her lunch to arrive that I was almost finished with mine. She really liked the red salsa which they told us they make in house. Nice thin pizza with a super satisfying crust, crisp, light, and flavorful. We ordered two pizzas: the #8 Grande Edo Siciliana, which is their best seller and was recommended as their version of a spicy meat lover's. I asked for it to be less spicy, and it came out just right: bold, meaty, and packed with flavor without being overwhelming. The second one was the #9 The Jimmy, their new new pulled pork pizza with cilantro. It's a new dish they just rolled out yesterday, and honestly, it did not disappoint. The pulled pork had a slightly sweet note and was a little on the drier side, but still incredibly tasty and balanced. The cheese pull was perfect, gooey and stretchy with every bite. You can tell they use quality ingredients, and the flavors come together so well. We also asked for pesto on the side to dip the crust in , and wooo, amazing taste. It added that fresh, herby richness that made the crust even more addictive. Great service, quick turnaround, and warm, welcoming vibes. The beet salad was super taste, it's super fresh, beautifully balanced, and honestly awesome. But the fig pizza... WOW. Sweet, savory, and just the right amount of indulgent. Every bite is so good it almost doesn't feel fair. You can really tell they care about quality ingredients and flavor. I've been in search of a decent pizza place, with good pizza AND good customer service staff. Actually something hard to find in the area despite the $20/hr starting pay for food workers. The Pizza Hut in RSM closed down since it wasn't very good. I've been to 3 Dominos locations in the area and either my order was wrong or the customer service was seriously lacking. Sabintinos used to be good, but they started to seriously skimp and mostly crust on their pizza despite higher prices. And I've gone to Ballpark Pizza many times over the years, but they have messed up my order a handful of times due to the teenage staff. I was excited to try Pizza 900 because of the good Yelp rating. And when I called in my order, they told me they were #1 in Orange County. I had high expectations. I called my order in 4 hours in advance so it would be ready when I arrived. I was surprised they were not very busy when I got there to pick up, considering they are supposed to be the best in the county. Luckily I checked my order before leaving, because there were mushrooms added to my pizza, which I'm highly allergic to. How disappointing if I had driven 30 min home and then found the error. They re-made the pizza while I waited. It would have been a good customer service move to offer me a free fountain drink or cookie while I waited, since they have both, and I now had to wait for a do-over after calling in advance to make sure my order would be ready specifically so I would not have to wait. But no one bothered to offer me anything. When I got home with the new pizza I quickly realized that the base wasn't strong enough to support the toppings. The crust is too thin and when you go to pick up a slice, all the toppings just slide right off. I had to end up eating the toppings with a fork off the box. Also the base (crust) had a lot of black on the bottom, and had a bad burned flavor. Sadly, the pizza was not good overall and I would not come here again. The reason for still giving 3 stars is because the ingredients seemed fresh and the staff was polite. read more

There are a few beers on top and wine available, along with fountain Coke products. The menu also includes some tacos and burritos, along with other traditional pizza faire (wings, salad, breadsticks. Etc).
